Responsibility is maintaining & fault finding on fixed plant electrical apparatus and machines due
to breakdown situations with a strong commitment to safety and an attempt to minimise
downtime as much as possible.
Responsibilities
 Carrying out complex electrical fault-finding and breakdown repairs on fixed plant apparatus and
machines.
 Undertaking planned preventative maintenance and inspections on fixed plant.
 Undertaking high voltage switching and isolations (up to 11kv).
 Undertaking low voltage switching and isolations.
 Interpreted and troubleshot PLC programs (Concept, Unity and Pro Works NXT)
 Create notifications, work orders and reserved materials inside SAP.
 Conduct electrical installations for minor and major projects.
 Consistently use Rio Tinto’s safety tools Take 5s, JHAs and SWPs for all work practices.
