Project: Symantec hired a third party to develop a web page for them. Symantec’s internal staff was to test the
web page before releasing it. When hired, the project was already way over budget and well behind schedule.
The task was to analyze the state of the quality effort and to suggest possible strategies to achieve their goals.
If possible, to present a plan which would have them completing the project in four months and hiring no
more then three temporary entry-level Testers. Best solution for them was a seven-month time line hiring an
additional six highly specialized web Quality Assurance Engineers.
