8. SUSTAINABLE FOOD
02
A sustainable food system is a type of food system that provides
healthy food to people and creates sustainable environmental,
economic and social systems that surround food
This plant-based eating style includes more legumes (beans,
peas, lentils, peanuts), whole grains, vegetables, fruits and nuts,
and less animal-based foods, especially red meat and processed
meat. Limiting refined grains and added sugars is encouraged as
well
9. WHY IS FOOD SUSTAINIBILITY
IMPORTANT?
Food production, distribution, and consumption play a critical role
in the health of our environment, society and economy.
15% of Greenhouse gas emissions are from the breeding of
animals for slaughter, 70% of the water in the Planet is used for
farming and then to feed farm animals; A milk cow drinks 200l of
water everyday, 50l a bovine or a horse, 20l a pig and 10l a sheep.
10. HOW TO BE MORE SUSTAINABLE?
Beans are one of the most
widely produced and widely
available sustainable
foods on the market
Beans
They can be farmed

PACKAGING
03
For First, what is packaging?
The art and technology of enclosing or protecting
products for distribution, storage, sale, and use.
So, how can packaging be sustainable?
Simply put, it is packaging that, over time, reduces its
environmental footprint.
12. SOME EXAMPLE OF SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
A protective membrane made with a
mixture of food particles linked to
carbohydrates, it can be used for: yogurt,
coffee and alcoholic beverages.
Through special sensors it changes color
when the food deteriorates and is no longer
edible
is able to absorb carbon dioxide from the
air and release it as soon as a button is
pressed, resulting in an immediate drop in
temperature

Self-cooling and self-
heating packaging.

without leaving traces and without
contaminating the liquid.
