the form of fashion.
Mental health has confronted us all amidst the pandemic in, so
delivering a fresh message that addresses mental health is
invaluable.
The Dolls Kill mission of unleashing the IDGAF attitude in us all, is
the anthem that needs to be sounded.
“Create Your Reality” is a commercial that is an honest reflection of
the internal contempt and visualizing a way in which to empower
and create your reality.
“DOLLS” the doll, looks at her reflection in the mirror as the wind
sweeps trash in front of her reflection. Her self-expression reads
contempt. The camera view starts from behind her slowly rotating
to sideview, transitioning from the mirror scene to a profile view of
“Dolls” holding a video game. The side profile transitions to an over
the shoulder view of the game title “Self-Defeat”. The game is now
in the console. Zooming out from a distorted television on-screen
display, “Dolls” laying on the floor looking up at the ceiling, where
her personal dark cloud hovers above her.
Attempting to entertain herself with self-defeat. She comes to the
realization that it just won’t work. As she cries the hovering dark
cloud begins to rain. Showered in her tears she closes her eyes to
awake to a vision, a dream. Opening her eyes to a new world, it is
an empty canvas that surrounds her. “Dolls” realizing she is now a
videogame avatar “Rhiannon”, she can change her look, from head
to toe, creating a range of styles that empowers her view of herself,
illuminating her with confidence. “Rhiannon” turns around with
each selection changing her appearance when facing forward. The
final outfit change transitions back to the reinvented “Dolls”
modeling a new outfit. “Dolls” is turning herself around literally,
figuratively, and fashionably.
The music by Soft & Furious “Falling into The Game” aides in
amplifying the emotion of darkness and dread to a powerful
character ready for battle. Perfectly interweaving the concept.
The “Doll” set, and clothes are all handcrafted. Dolls Kill
merchandise include skull comic button up, Cyber long sleeve shirt,
white button up top, and black knee-high boots, stylized with
handmade clothing. All handcrafted items are created by Astral
Gothic LLC, owned by Rhiannon Hill.
