In this presentation we aim to make learning motivating & easy for students in the” active and passive target “since we as teachers suffer from the lack of ability of our students  in this area :- Subject :-   English  Title :-   Competition Topic :-   Active & passive Grade :-   All levels and grades aged between ( 11-18) Program :-   Power Point Presentation Objectives :-  ss should be able :- 1- To change from active into passive sentences in a simple and easy  way. 2- To use the( verb to Be) in an effective way. 3- To differentiate between regular and irregular verbs . 4- To divide the sentence into its main parts ( noun-verb-adj.-…)  1

The conditions :- 1- Your age must be between 12-18 years old.  2- You must know all of the {verb to Be}.  3- You must have the skill of differentiating between regular & irregular verbs . 4- You must be able to divide any sentence  into its main parts . 4
All you need is :- 1-A sentence with an object or two .  2- The family of the verb to Be. {for more details about ( verb to Be) see page  (15)   .  3- A collection of regular & irregular verbs in  different tenses.  4- By + the doer of your chosen sentence. 5
Details about the competition :- Our competition consists of five levels , four of them are compulsory and you cannot win if you lose in one of them . The last one is optional . Here are the levels . Just have a deep look on them and decide whether to participate or not . 6
LEVEL ONE :-   Putting of the object at the beginning of the passive sentence. If you succeed ,  continue to level two , if not, please stop and see page  (17 )   for more information about dealing with objects in the English sentences . 7
  LEVEL   TWO :- Choosing the suitable and correct verb to Be . The rule says:-  Put one of the  verb to be  depending on the main verb . If you have the ability to do this you will pass and so you will be automatically moved to level three. If not(  and we hope not  )you have to stop and see page   (15)   to learn how to deal with verb to Be. 8
LEVEL THREE :-   Changing of the main verb in your sentence into the verb 3 . Pay attention to the third form of the irregular verbs {For more details see page  (16) If you do well in this level , you are approximately win . Please, do level four ! 9
LEVEL FOUR :- Completing of the rest of the  sentence. This is the easiest level . If you reach it , you will win and get a present of !!!!... A lovely grammatical and meaning full sentence If not we are sorry for you .Try again and follow our steps .We are sure you will win and check your progress . 10
LEVEL FIVE :-   Putting by + the doer of the sentence Don’t forget that this level is optional 11
SOME USEFUL ADVICE;- ** Follow the following pieces of advice and   you  will win! 1- Divide the given sentences into its main parts { subject – verb – object – complement } BE CAREFULL {You may have some sentences without an object} for example {I go to school everyday}  See page  ( 17) 2- Use one of the( verb to BE ) that you bring. with you depending on the main verb.  See page  (15 ) 3-Change the main verb into the third form.  Pay attention to  the irregular verbs See page  ( 16 ) 4-Complete the rest of the sentence. 5-Put( by + the doer ).  12

Here are  my winner sentences :-  1- Yamen has finished  the homework.  *  The homework has been finished (by Yamen).  2- Yamen is playing  football  now. *  Football is being played now (by Yamen).  3- Yamen will win  this competition  next week.  * This competition will be won next week. HANEEN :-  My experience in this competition is fantastic !I like it  very much . Here are my winner sentences:-  1- Najed often visits  her grandma  in Almarj.  *   Najed's grandma is often visited in Almarj.  2-We won  a present  last week.  *  A present was won last week (by us).  3- Before she participated, she had read  the instructions  carefully.  *  The instructions had been read carefully  before she participated . Irregular verbs  Verbs in English can de divided into:- REGULAR  IRREGULAR (Verbs that end  ( Verbs that haven't  with the (–ed )in  the same form in  past & past participle)  present-past & past participle)  e.g.  e.g . {watch- -work-  { eat-drink-swim-  play-clean-visit-  read-put-sleep- wash-look-stop…etc}  think-hear…etc} So Please learn them by heart   For more details see the enclosed paper of  Irregular Verbs   P.12 P.9
Object in the English sentence:- Here are some information & examples about the object in English language. The object  is the word or words that come after the main verb in the sentence. It can be a noun (singular or plural) or an objective pronoun (me–you-them-him-her-it-us). * It is not necessary that all the sentences in English must contain an object. *  Some verbs are  intransitive  – (don’t take an object). e.g.  1- I  go  to school everyday. 2- He  died  in 1985. 3- She  was born  in Al-kerak. {There are no objects in these sentences because (go – died - born) are intransitive verbs}. * Some verbs are  transitive  – (take an object or more). e.g.  1- My teacher usually  gives   me   a present   2- We haven’t   finished   our work  yet.  {(gives) takes 2 objects ( me and a present ) } {(finished takes one object (our work) }   P.12 P.7
**  Choose at least three sentences and send the Answers to the e-mail .  See page   ( 13 ) 1-  The earthquake has destroyed many buildings so far.  2-  I was born in 1974 in Al-kerak. 3-  Look ! The girls are playing gyms now .  4-  Our teacher usually gives us the exam after each unit . 5-  They went to school in Oman last year .  6-  I promise that I will finish this report on Monday . 7-  While I was walking down the street , a man made an accident . 8-  Some people have seen a wolf in the street . 9-  Shakespeare died in 1865. 10-  I am reading a detective story at this moment  .  11-  After he had eaten his breakfast, he went to his office.  12-  We always visits our grandma at the weekend . 13-  Ann has been playing football for three hours 14-  Mary is going to receive many letters . 15-  My mom could speak French when she was 20 . 15
