The winner, who will lose the most body fat, will be announced in September and receive a prize of approximately R5000. The aid of a dietician was
enlisted to perform the body fat,
weight and other measurements,
as well as the provision of diet
plans.
The winner will be announced
early in September. The prize
money is in the region of R5000.

The Corporate “Biggest Loser”/ Phat Chal-
lenges are beginning in September.
The challenges provide participants the op-
portunity to lose weight in a competitive
environment, together with a sense of fun and
camaraderie.
Individual companies need to choose their
teams of 20 or more participants. The results
of each company’s team will be evaluated in
December, in order to announce the winning
company.

SAB hosted their Wellness
Month in June, with an increase
in employees partaking com-
pared to last year. Seven depots
were visited throughout the
month, with 10 wellness stands
being presented on each site. G-
Squared and the Egoli Region
HR teams ensured that employ-
ees had an opportunity to check
their health status and to make
recommended lifestyle changes.

DEAT Pretoria: staff members actively participated in the nutrition talk, which focused on the use
of portion sizes and improved food choices.
Supplementation and other weight-loss aids were discussed.
SABC hosted two wellness days for their staff members, in an endeavour to screen and highlight at-risk
clients.
Optometric, nutritional and other health services were offered. Hypertension and hypercholesterolemia
were some of the main health concerns that were identified.
AEL, in conjunction with Medscheme, presented a Wellness day incorporating a biokineticist, an op-
tometrist and a dietician. Fitness levels, dietary habits and eye health were evaluated.
Nicky Liebenberg (left) organized the event and made this yet another successful and popular endeav-
our.
TWP and Discovery worked hand in hand to present staff members with the opportunity to obtain Vitality
points in the form of medical, fitness and nutrition assessments. The day was very well visited— service
providers and staff members created a vibrant atmosphere of inspiration to change existing health habits.
