What is CNC ?
• CNC stands for Computer numerical control and these
machines play an important role in the manufacturing
industry. These complex machines are controlled by a
computer and provide a level of efficiency, accuracy and
consistency that would be impossible to achieve through a
manual process.
History of cnc
• 1949-US Air Force asks MIT to develop a "numerically controlled" machine.
• 1952-Prototype NC machine demonstrated (punched tape input)
• 1980-CNC machines (computer used to link directly to controller)
• 1990-DNC: external computer “drip feeds” control programmer to machine tool
controller
Types of CNC

Applications of CNC machine

5.Musical instruments
• CNC signage machines are extensively used for
cutting hard materials such as aluminum,
steel, wood, etc. With ordinary machines, it is
difficult to cut desired designs but with advanced
CNC technology, the purpose of sign making is
resolved. Whether you’re creating a small-
scale 2D project or a more complex 3D
signage component, a CNC machine can get
the job done quickly and cleanly.

2.Cabinets and furniture
• Cabinet manufacturing is one of the most common
applications for CNC machines, whether used to
create customized or more standard pieces. In
addition to cabinetry, CNCs help shops produce
closet sets, Shaker and Raised Panel Doors,
countertops, chairs, tables, and more with immense
precision and unrivaled efficiency. Its designs are
easily brought to life via 2D, 3D, and 4-Axis
capabilities. Reduce lead times, minimize material
handling, and elevate the quality of your
cabinetmaking process through the power of a high-
end CNC machine.
3.Aluminum and brass machining
• Working with non-ferrous metals like aluminum and brass requires increased cutting capability from
your CNC machine – in addition to a little more attention and preparation. But when done properly, it
can save time and money in the shop while producing a superior result. Determining and utilizing the
proper feedrate and spindle RPM becomes more important when working with aluminum or brass as
they interact a bit differently with the blade than other materials.
4.Prototyping and 3D modeling
• In 3D computer graphics, 3D modeling is the
process of developing a mathematical coordinate-
based representation of any surface of an object in
three dimensions via specialized software by
manipulating edges, vertices, and polygons in a
simulated 3D space. A CNC machine allows you to
scan, copy, engineer, and reverse-engineer
components to help craft innovative and advanced
products.
5.Musical instruments
• The precision capabilities of CNC machines are
perhaps never more crucial than when creating
musical instruments. Every component needs to be
cut to exact specifications and made to interact
properly in order to produce a beautiful range of
sounds.
• CNC routers help musical instrument manufacturers
produce large quantities of high-quality products on
an efficient timeline, never sacrificing the
performance of the pieces at any point throughout
the process.
Conclusion
• CNC mean computer numerical control machine it’s a form of programmable
automation drill drawings on wood use g coding consist of 3 motors and their
drivers and pic with its basic circuit and body made of wood hold on motors and
drill and the wood we want to draw on it
• We tried to make cheap fast safety cnc machine that drill on wood piece
according to any drawing we draw to it.
