• Adults want to know why do they need to learn a
certain thing
• They have numerous past experiences which they
correlate with the new information
• Motivation for an adult learner can be both intrinsic or
extrinsic

• Experiential learning is equivalent to learning through
action.
• Cognitive learning is resumed to acquiring theoretical

information developed in the previous stage
• Abstract conceptualization-the learner interprets the information and
extracts the lessons from it
• Active experimentation- the learner makes connections between the lesson
and the real world
