This project will implement an online web-based
tool to automate the assessment method.
No clear course outcome direct assessment method
and tool in CCSIT

A web-based tool with intuitive user interface to
automate several of the manual excel steps.
Current proposed method uses an Excel based
spreadsheet which is difficult to use and update.

Detection and indication of discrepancies of
course outcome coverage for various assessment
components to assist faculty in making
knowledgeable decisions.
No clear way for faculty members to know if their
assessment components are properly covering
various course outcomes.

4. Scope of the Project

• Providing ability to the faculty to map various assessment questions
to course outcomes.
• Providing ability to the faculty to enter and store assessment results.
• Automatic, on-the-fly computation of course outcome evaluation as
the grades are entered for various assessment components.
• Graphical display of course outcome assessment results and charts
to compare semester-to-semester results.
Not in the scope:
• Evaluating program outcomes. This project will only focus on
course outcomes.
• Linking with King Faisal University databases to acquire
certain information such as lists of faculty names and student
names. The required information will be simulated by creating
local data files.
