As I approach my first year departure from the Miami-Dade Police Department, I am
happy to announce that I am still active in the field of emergency management. Through
research and development, our field experts have developed a unique course that is
above par on today’s industry standards.
Utilizing the basic principles of the Incident Command System [ICS], our professionals
can guarantee that our method will enhance the proficiency of Law Enforcement
Command Operations. This instructional course provides various resources to adequately
mitigate threats that affect our jurisdictional boundaries.
During the tenure of my prior occupation, I was able to unify law enforcement officers
with diverse skill sets to work collaboratively on achieving a common goal for public
safety. This core group then began to create training operations and courses that became
standard practices for the Miami-Dade Police Department. The core group further
created the Major Scene Management Course [MSMC] that became a model for the
Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute.
TheMajor Scene Management Course [MSMC] includes the following topics:
Active Shooter
Civil Unrest
Terrorist Event Response
Officer Down
The course provides real world experiences through scenario simulation that allow
command level professionals to assess and problem solve a critical incident. During the
conclusion of the course, a qualitative assessment is conducted identify key indicators of
operational deficiencies, communicational barriers, and scene hazards. A detailed
discussion on improving scene management is subsequently taught by major scene field
experts. Our methodology behind our program is “Educating organizations to maximize
their resources to mitigate any critical incident”.
Our consortium of professionals from multiple disciplines bring the knowledge of public
safety to any industry. We look forward to forging new partnerships with those whom
