COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION
ARTICLE I – NAME The name of the Organization(hereinaftercalled“the Organization”) is
BUTSILITSA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION in Kenya.
HEAD OFFICE
The headoffice of the organizationshall be situatedinLUGOSEsub-location SHINYALU,
KAKAMEGA County.KENYA.
MAIN PURPOSE
The mainpurpose the Organizationistoundertake andpromote developmentprojectsin
Western Kenyaand elsewhere for the benefitof the local communities,society and mankindasa
whole.
ARTICLE II – PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES
Within the framework of the foregoing,the Organizationhave the following Principal
(a) To Promote and undertake social and economicwelfare programs inthe areas of
Health,Population,Education,Provision of water and foodand in particularpromotionof
Girl child education,Genderequality,distributionof SanitaryTowelsto schools, mobilize
Self-help schemes,small scale farming,small scale industrial projects,handicraft and home
Industry co-operative or groups and otheractivities of similarnature inthe rural areas.
(b) To provide goods,services and other necessitiesof life todestitute and needy
Members of societyto establish and manage relief centers and to engage and undertake
All such other relief activitiesasthe Boardof the Organizationmayfromtime determine.
(c) To mobilize fundingforthe programsand projects of the Organization,in
Particularbut without prejudice to the generalityof the foregoing,byencouraging
Group savings and credit schemes,revolvingfunds and other initiativesintendedto
Raise the living standards of persons and communities.
(d) To promote awareness,provide initiative and expertise, assist inthe development

ARTCLE III - ANCILLARY POWERS
And infurtherance of the principal objects the Organizationshall have power:
(a) To design,organize and conduct suitable training and educational and healthprograms,
Courses,seminars,study groups,workshops and other activities for individuals andgroups;
(b) To establish and support or aid the establishment and support of any charitable
Associations or charitable institutions and to subscribe orguarantee money for charitable
Purpose;
(c) To act as trustees,under any trust incidental to the principal objects of the Organization
and to receive ,hold, administer and expand funds and property whether or not subjectto such
trusts;
