To whom it may concern,
It is a great pleasure to write this recommendation letter on behalf of Mr. Raúl Alonso
del Val. As a Teacher and as a Technical Director of the Master in Unmanned Aerial
Systems taught by IXTITUTE in Madrid during the year 2015/2016, I instructed Mr
Raúl Alonso del Val in several disciplines. He has proved to be a capable and motivated
student; that is the reason why I am sure that he could be an important asset in your
Institution.
During the Master Course Lessons he proved to be a confident person, always eager to
learn, proactive, engaged in discussions and always raising questions, showing good
interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities.
An important part of the Master Course was to define, design and develop a Small
Unmanned System in groups. During this stage he demonstrated excellent people and
time management skills, acting as a team leader during certain stages of the process. He
demonstrated exceptional leadership and program management abilities; organizing
activities, managing work packages, analyzing the stakeholder’s influence on the
Project, controlling the cost and the Project requirements, risks and opportunities charts.
From a technical point of view all the designs, ideas, concepts, schemes and technical
documentation prepared or supervised by him were innovative, detailed, accurate and
well presented. Mr. Raúl Alonso del Val demonstrated sound knowledge in all the
disciplines that were involved in the design of the Unmanned System such as
Aerodynamics, Electronics, Flight Physics, Structural and Systems Design,
Communications or Materials Science, to name a few.
Moreover, he proved to be a proficient user of all the software that has been used to
perform 2D and 3D part design (CAD), aerodynamic analyses (CFD) and part sizing
(FEM), among others.
