Industry Work Experience:
IMPROVING THE PRODUCTIVITY BY REDUCING THE REPETITIVE CONCERNS (ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS) IN BUS MANUFACTURING AT
VOLVO ( B.E. INTERNSHIP) (2 months )
As an intern in the Volvo organization I was asked to identify different concerns, defects and to check out whether the assembly unit
adhered to the particular norms and compliance. After identifying the different concerns I was asked to list down the different
concerns that ws identified. After this, I was asked to find out a solution to improve the productivity by suggesting a solution to the
concerns listed down. I worked out a solution to tackle the concern by suggesting a qualitative method which is known as root cause
analysis and developed root cause analysis for all the concerns that have listed down by doing this the team members got to know
exactly how the concern had araised and the necessary measure to overcome this concers. I also had developed Risk Priority
Numbering methodology which helped in targeting those repetitive concerns which is a multiplicative number formed by three
factors such as severity, occurance and detection. By having the Risk Priority Number for different concerns it wil help the task
performer to target those concern which has got the highest RPN Value or the number. The benefit of targeting these concerns are,
by taking measure to reduce these repetitive concerns we can also reduce other concerns originating from these repetitive concerns.
OPTIMIZING THE PROCESS TIME BY REORGANISING THE STANDARD OPERATING PROCESSES AT TEXTRON SPECIALIZED VEHICLE.
As an intern in Textron organization, I was asked to reorganize the standard operating processes by creating document such as
standard operating procedures, updating the manuals like parts and repair manuals, owners guides as per the task created through
Change Notice. creation of new manuals, installation instructions, Structured documentation through the use of software’s such as
teamcenter, XML, DITA, unigraphics, nx, adobe illustrator, framemaker, , photoshop and vismockup. (M. TECH INTERNSHIP)( 1 year)

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF LANDMINE DETECTING HOVERCRAFT
The primary objective of the project was to design and manufacture a remotely controlled hovercraft and to provide an adequate
control and stability to the hovercraft such that it can hover while being in stationary. The other objective was to accommodate a metal
detecting system such that hovercraft must able to identify and physically mark the location of land mines. This project was a great
acheviement and was recommended by our college project head to IISC Bangalore.

MTech Project
• DEVELOPING AND ANALYZING THE EFFECT OF SELF-LEARNING GUIDE IN TECHNICAL PUBLICATION DEPARTMENT OF TEXTRON
SPECIALIZED VEHICLES
This project deals in developing and analyzing the effect of standard document such as the self learning guide in the automotive
industries . Here the process used to analyze and develop the standard document was analytical hierarcial process . Analytical Hierarcial
process was used to prioritize the general factors that are considered in developing a standard document. Along with the Analytical
Hierarcial process a time study was conducted to analyse the effect of self learning guide in the organization using IBM SPSS STATISTICS 20
software. The project was effective for the organization as the standard document helped in reducing the time consumed for performing
the work as it contained the standard operating processes.
• MIT HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT RESEARCH PROJECT.
In this project I gathered major information regarding different funding options available for vivid research areas. It ws also the part of the
project to develop team work skills and also this project helped in gathering first hand exposure on how the research is done and this
project was not a part of curriculum.
