Reference letter for Rajvinder Kelly

Rajvinder Kelly worked at Watkin & Williams Ltd from June 2014 to May 2015 as an ac-
counts assistant in a busy hardware business that serves trade customers and the general
public. She did an excellent job in this voluntary position and made a valuable contribution
to the company.
Her responsibilities included preparing month-end invoices for trade customers and cross-
checking them against the business accounts, assisting with bookkeeping and administer-
ing the payroll, stock-taking and processing customer orders. I was most impressed with
her proposals to help improve the efficiency of the business, which included introducing a
product labelling system and speeding up the process to calculate formulas for end-of-year
VAT accounts.
She also demonstrated her creative side where she reorganised the window displays, de-
signed posters for the shop floor and produced adverts for insertion in newspapers and
charity merchandise. She reported directly to me, the shop manager, during this period.
Rajvinder proved herself to be a conscientious, hard worker who performed her duties with
determination and enthusiasm, both as part of a team and on her own initiative. Her close
attention to detail consistently resulted in meticulous and accurate work and her strong in-
terpersonal and communication skills allowed her to develop good working relationships
with colleagues and management, as well as the company’s regular customers.
Rajvinder has been a great asset to the company and I highly recommend her for employ-
