3. As I present this Brochure today, I am also reflecting upon
the years that have gone by, where I have dealt with a
number and variety of students. But common amongst
those who got success is one factor-Discipline.
Discipline is not just a quality, it is a way of life. Many of
you must be aware that when we assign a score to each
one of the 26 alphabets like no. 1 to A, 2 to B and so on,
the word Discipline adds upto a total of 100. What a
perfect score, isn't it! Same way if you practice discipline
inyour life,you willalwaysbeawinner!
For being a winner, one more factor assumes huge
importance and that is Planning. Any job done without
planning is bound to fail. A job well planned is already
half done. So give due importance to plan your studies
beforeimplementingyourstudyschedule.
If you incorporate these two dimensions in your life, you
willseethechangesin your performancein allrespects.
You will get many such tips in our Success Planner to
boost your performance even further, and we at Sehgal
School of Competitions will always be at your side to
pushyou towardsSuccess!
All thebest!

PATTERNFORJEEMain&Advanced Pattern
of Examination :In recent times, IIT-JEE Council has
changed its testing pattern. The exam is
now conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode.
Totalmarks is notconstant. For example in 2018, total
marks were 180 for each paper, whereas it was 183
and 186 in 2017 and 2016 respectively. Those who
qualified JEEMain with the Board exams score in top
20 percentilewereonly eligible forJEEAdvanced.
Whatever is the testing pattern, basically the ultimate
aim of JEEis tojudge theaspirant's subjectknowledge
and prob lem-sol vi ng skills. Thus the onl y
requirement of this exam is to have strong basic
concepts, good analytical skills, and thorough
knowledge of the core concepts and extensive
practice.

SCHOOL AND COMPETITIVE EXAMS TOGETHER ?
Janus, the Greek God, on whose name the first month of the year is based, is two faced. One face looks at the year gone by
and theother looks ahead atthecoming year.Same way ...Two eyes-Two goals. Complementary to each other. One doesn't
disturb the other. They support each other because the syllabus base is same. If you join in XI, you are at the most
comfortable position because fundamentals arecovered ata very basic level. You don't need any private tutions as School &
Competitive exams are taken care of together atSehgal's. Whatever you have done till X, has no connection with what you
do in XI & XII. So, if you start from the beginning, both goals will be achieved simultaneously. Otherwise, the sooner, the
better!
