MITIGATION of Sea Level Rise (SLR/ GMSLR) with Two/2 WIPO Green Technologies
Abstract: Based on a ‘Think Paper’ of Institute of Civil Engineers (UK) & Royal institute of British Architects, this paper describes
the Technical process for minimizing the risk of flooding due to Sea Level Rise (SLR/ GMSLR) in future at all low lying islands,
coastal cities & states, by adopting pro- active measures like construction of Ocean Defenses & Land reclamation by Recycling of
Solid Waste with use of Two (2) WIPO Green Technologies (Intnl. Patents examin. favorabl.).
This is carried out by reducing/ eliminating the Solid Waste/ litter pollution in Landfills, on Municipal Land fills, Beaches, Coastal
Zones etc with use of our Two/2 WIPO Green Technologies which recycle e-Waste, Plastics etc. into substitutes for Natural
Resources ref.https://www3.wipo.int/wipogreen-database/SearchDetailPage.htm?query=e-
Waste%20technologies&type=all&id=TGREEN17150
Reference is made to:
1) Strategy in Think piece of 'Royal institute of British Architects & institution of Civil Engineers (iCe) that We need To Turn a

RETREAT, DEFEND, ATTACK ? HULL attacks Pg. 10 & PORTSMOUTH attacks Pg. 13
2) In Singapore 'Late last year, the government decided the height of all new reclamation must be 2.25 metres (7.5 feet) above the
highest recorded tide level -- a rise of a metre over the previous mandated minimum height. ('Singapore raises sea defences against
tide of climate change" - ref. http://www.reuters.com/article/uk-climate-singapore-idUSLNE80Q00J20120127.
These ESTs can be use on the various categories of Solid Waste being i) Generated & in ii) Landfills, to prepare/ construct Bricks,
Boulders, Pre-fabricated Blocks,Beams etc in 24 -to 36 hrs for preparing/ building:
1) Rock armour and breakwaters
2) Gabion & Groyne (rigid hydraulic & containment structures)
3) Seawall
4) Sea dike
5) Revetments
6) Land reclamation
7) Land elevation & artificial islands etc.
For safety of the Future Generations this proposal is for elevation of Ground level &/or building Ocean Defenses like Sea Walls, Sea
Armor, Gabions, Revetments etc by using both WIPO Green Technologies on the Solid Waste in various Land fills/ dumping grounds,
By being Pro-active, all sections of Society including the underprivileged will benefit if initiative is taken now to deal with the
expected hazard of future rise in Sea levels. For an indicative rough figure of Land reclamation from Sea, by filling with Bricks & Pre-
fabricated building blocks having Solid Waste contents (Plastics, e-Waste/WEEE etc), instead of using Sand.
On 31st Jan,2016, a presentation was made at 'Make in India' seminar, Pune & is to be found at:
http://rescuwearth.com/files/documents/ANX.1-Novel-WIPO-Green-Tech..ppt
A Green Industrial research led Start-Up 'RESCUW Earth Technologies and Advisory LLP' was formed as a Corporate vehicle for
both Green Techs & is a loan/ debt free organization.

Patents for both Green Techs are registered in over 40 nations on 4 continents & also Patent protected in over 188 countries. Useful
for 1. Manufacturing, Infrastructure & Construction Industries.
2. For Land rclamation & Ocean defenses in Coastal Cities/ Low lying islands to counter rising sea levels
3. To claim Carbon Credits & Offsets (under Scope 3) of GHG declaration.
The European Patent Office (EPO) passed all claims (less 2 minor grammar errors) & report for both Patentapplications is:
* International Search Report (ISR): Satisfactory (EPO is the ISA)
* Written Opinion (WO): Positive
* International Preliminary Examination Report(IPER) - favorable &
* International Preliminary Report on Patentability(IPRP): Satisfactory
Fig.1: Indicative illustration
With the application of these ESTs, we have successfully tested/ prepared Six/6Prototypes & can create Natural resources Substitutes
viz. Bricks, Pre-fabricated blocks, Marble/ Granite slabs,Wood/ Timber boards, panels, Beams. The vital significance of both ESTs
has been highlighted as Climate Change mitigation is also possible with the reduction of Deforestation due toWood/ Timber
substitutes, which contain Plastic,e-Waste/WEEE,etc. visit http://rescuwearth.com/files/documents/ANX.1-SolidWaste-
ClimatChngMitigatn.pdf, as reduction in Deforestation will help to create an additional carbon sink of 2.5 to 3 billiontonnes of CO2
equivalent through additional forest and tree cover by 2030.
Both ESTs are ready to be implemented & put to use directly or through 'Swiss Challenge method' with regard to the Chronic issue of
E-waste and Plastics Management in India.
It must be noted that this will also create EMPLOYMENT, lead to enormous Savings& also reinforce the 'Circular Economy'. For
Benefits/ advantages, visit http://rescuwearth.com/files/documents/ANX.3_EST._ADVNTG._BENEFITS.pdf.
Thanking you & BRGDS,.
