● Helps to create tactics to help a business create a
want for their goods/services
● Develops marketing plan and execution
● Generates revenue
● Keeps a business on track and continue to achieve its
goals
● Brings out strengths and weaknesses

● Purpose is to satisfy the needs
and wants of customers
● Product consist of goods,
services, and ideas
● Goods can be physically touched
○ Value comes from benefits,
status,and performance
● Services are beneficial to
customers produced by people/
machines and cannot be
separated from the producer
● Ideas are thoughts, opinions, and
philosophies

What does product come with ?
● Product variety - how much of a product will be produced and how
fast it can be produced
● Design- what the product will look like
● Brand- who makes the product
● Quality- what caliber does the product reach
● Packaging - how will the product be given to customers
● Return Policies- how customers will go about

● Price is what a buyer gives up
○ Money,time,energy
● Price must be carefully
determined
○ From buyers belief in value
● Price will vary depending on
many factors
○ Size, packaging, amount,etc
● Pricing determines a company’s
survival
● At times marketers
over/underprice their

● Discounts helps with making items more affordable
● Allowances are reductions placed by the seller when a problem
occurs with an item or service
● Payment period is the start and end dates set of when an
amount of money is due
● Types of payment include cash, checks, debt, credit, mobile
payment and bank transfers along with others

● Represents all the tasks of to get
a product to the customer
● Deals with retailing
● Supply chain management is the
methods used by firms

suppliers,manufacturers,
warehouses, stores, etc
● Strong supply chain management
is needed to get products to
customers when customers want
it

What does place come with ?
● Channels help to transport product/services
● Coverage allows for examination to see what parts
● Assortments are the goods/services that are provided to its customers
● Locations are where the places will be in order t distribute
goods/services
● Inventory deals with the list of goods/services
● Transportation handles how goods/ services are transported
● Logistics is the process that keeps up with how goods are stored,
obtained, and distributed to their customers/destination
10. Promotion
● Making an effort to promote the
value of a good/service
● Performed by marketers
○ They inform,persuade, and remind
people of their goods/services
● Promotion potentially can increase
a good/service value
● Advertising through technology is
one of the most common form of
promotion
○ Tv, phones, computers,
tablets, radio
