I was accepted to the World Race mission trip in July and need your help to raise $16,252!
My squad will serve in Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, Swaziland, Botswana and South Africa.
We will be working in orphanages, teaching English, doing evangelistic outreach, visiting the elderly and the sick, doing construction, assisting women and children caught in human trafficking and encouraging small tribes of believers in rural areas.
Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational Christian 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your donations are tax-deductible!

there was never a road, but when
many people walk on it, the road
comes into existence.”

3. About Me
• Born and raised in the Midwest.
• Graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in
English & Religious Studies.
• Passionate about my faith, people and animals.
I enjoy communicating through my writing and art.
4. What Led Me to this Mission?
• After moving to Georgia in 2009, I found myself learning to trust
God through more difficult periods of transition.
• God broke me of my need to control my circumstances. As these
trials stretched me to my limit, they built my faith, resiliency and
positivity.
• I have a deep desire to serve and help others. I’ve learned
genuine compassion through my life experiences.
• After being laid off in February, I searched for new jobs but also
considered this unexpected time as an opportunity to do
something new.
• I felt compelled to look into mission trips and applied
to the World Race.
5. About the World Race
• Run by Adventures in Missions (AIM) in Gainesville, GA.
• AIM is an interdenominational Christian 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
dedicated to bringing the love, light and hope of Jesus Christ to people all
over the world.
• They have been mobilizing missionaries since 1989. The first World Race
squad was mobilized in 2006.
• The World Race is a challenging journey to 11 countries in 11 months to
serve “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40).
• This mission trip facilitates discipleship while living and serving in
authentic, raw communities.
6. Our Mission
• We will serve in Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Thailand, Cambodia,
Japan, Malaysia, Swaziland, Botswana and South Africa.
• We will be working in orphanages, teaching English, doing evangelistic
outreach, visiting the elderly and the sick, doing construction, assisting
women and children caught in human trafficking and encouraging small
tribes of believers in rural areas.
• Our squad will be partnering with local ministries that will continue serving
these communities long after we leave.
7. Why I am Going
• I love God with all my heart and want to serve
His people in a meaningful way.
• To be a source of light in a dark and hurting
world. To comfort the brokenhearted, pray for
the sick and minister to those who have been
abused, neglected and forgotten.
• For an opportunity to use my talents to make a difference outside of an
office building.
• This mission will also be a chance to heal, grow and expand my
worldview.
8. Make a Difference
• A unique opportunity to directly serve people in need all over the world.
• Bring hope and resources to women and children who have suffered
through human trafficking. Provide clothing and education to orphans .
Spread the Gospel by living it out in faith.
• Please consider partnering with me on this mission by supporting me
with a one-time or monthly donation. Every penny counts!
• Pray for the countries and people we will serve. Please remember me
and my squad in your prayers. Ask about my prayer team!
9. Needs for the Mission
• Need to raise $16,252 to take part in this mission trip. While this
amount is daunting, I am trusting God with what seems unimaginable.
• Need to obtain gear, vaccinations and MissionSafe medical insurance.
• Your tax-deductible donations will cover my training, food, medical
insurance and lodging as well as air, land and sea
travel throughout the trip.
10. Financial Support
• There are a series of financial deadlines that I must meet to continue
on the World Race:
*$3,500 – due 5/2/14 (minimum amount needed to be sent to
training) .
$7,500 – due 6/20/14 (two weeks prior to my trip).
$11,000 – due 10/1/14 (end of three months on the field).
$16,252 – total due 1/1/15 (end of six months on the field).
• There are several ways to partner with me on this mission:
- Donate easily and securely online.
- Use DynaPay to set up an automated recurring donation.
- Send a check to Adventures in Missions.
• All donations are tax-deductible!
11. Follow My Journey

lives: http://rachelkrause.theworldrace.org/. Share it with friends!
• Will have Wi-Fi during most of the trip, so I will share photos and stories
of life on the mission field as often as possible.

placed on my heart.
