Youths in Nepal Experience Transformation Through the Gospel
1. Youths in Nepal Make Power Available for the Gospel
The International Youth Day is a United Nations’ day celebrated on August 12th
each year to recognize
efforts of the world’s youth in enhancing global society. It also aims to promote ways to engage them
in becoming more actively involved in making positive contributions to their communities.
This objective is typified the Global Youth Leaders’ Forum (GYLF), an outreach of Christ Embassy
that focuses on building young people and imparting in them a passion to make a difference in the
world. So for the 2016 International Youth Day, members of the GYLF all over the world, did
something special for the Gospel to commemorate the day.
2. In Nepal, the youths of the GYLF took out time specially to fast and pray for a week leading up to the
Day. At the scheduled prayer meetings, the youths particularly interceded for youths in Nepal, as well
asall other nations of the world. They prayedfor the heartsof young people, thatthe truth of the message
of Christ would come alive in them, and also that they would be emboldened by the Spirit of the Lord
to stand for Jesus in their generation.
The fast climaxed with a specialprayer and praise rally, during which the youths celebrated the triumph
of the Word over the forces of darkness, and the prevalence of the Gospel in the earth. The unction was
so strong, and words of prophecy came forth, with the youths declaring that youths all around the world
will come to the full knowledge of the Gospel of Christ.
3. It was a glorious time of fellowship with the Holy Ghost, and the youths left the meeting with a note of
victory in their spirits, more determined than ever to make a mark in their generation by leading other
young people to the light of God’s Word.
