INTRODUCTION
BUS STATION
๏ƒ˜Area where vehicles stop to pick up or drop passengers.
๏ƒ˜Systematic and well managed bus station reduces crowd and
saves time.
๏ƒ˜Managed bus station contain proper incoming and outgoing
of buses.
History of KU Bus Station
๏ƒ˜Initially bus station was near KU main gate
๏ƒ˜Currently near TTC
๏ƒ˜Our proposed bus station is near Warehouse where plenty of
barren land are available.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
๏ƒ˜Proposed Location site was changed.
๏ƒ˜ Unscaled toy bus makes scaling process tedious.
๏ƒ˜ Difficulty in showing all the slopes. So limited slope area is
shown.
๏ƒ˜ LED lights were just represented instead of demonstrating them
by lighting on.
๏ƒ˜ Hexagonal fountain base and component for fountain cannot be
made as expected.

Primary Objectives:-
๏ƒ˜To develop the 3D model of proposed bus station at
Kathmandu university.
Secondary Objectives:-
๏ƒ˜To forecast the percentage increment in number of buses.
๏ƒ˜ To learn the measurement techniques for calculating the
area of proposed site.

RESULT
Finally the project was completed getting the expected
outcome i.e.3D model of KU bus station . The project made
us to work in team and develop the skill of working on the
projects. The project has also helped us working with scales
and modeling.

DISCUSSIONS
โ€ข Our project mainly focuses on adjusting the maximum
number of buses in allocated region along with basic
facilities and security. This project teaches us about
teamwork, measurement and work of scaling.
โ€ข Scale Reduction
Vertical scale= 1:45
Horizontal Scale= 1:80

CONCLUSION
In fact this project helps us in sharpening our skills and
knowledge in Surveying field. Different techniques of
measurement, Scaling and 3D model construction were
learned during the tenure. Beside various rough ideas and
plans were turned into real designation. Finally Project work
was completed with strong coordination and support of all
the team-members.

LIMITATIONS
Different physical limitations were there which deviated
projectโ€™s methodology and output. Some of the limitations
include:
๏ƒ˜ Unscaled toy bus makes scaling process tedious.
๏ƒ˜ Difficulty in showing all the slopes. So limited slope area is
shown.
๏ƒ˜ LED lights were just represented instead of demonstrating
them by lighting on.
๏ƒ˜ Hexagonal fountain base and component for fountain cannot
be made as expected.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Some of the recommendations which can be overcome in
possible future or during the working phase are:
๏ƒ˜Instead of toy bus, self made scaled bus can be used.
๏ƒ˜ Security system can be made strict and efficient using
various modern technologies.
๏ƒ˜ Proper lighting and water system can be made.
๏ƒ˜ Design of fountain and its base can be given to some
professional Architect.

Kathmandu University Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering INTRODUCTION BUS STATION ๏ƒ˜Area where vehicles stop to pick up or drop passengers. ๏ƒ˜Systematic and well managed bus station reduces crowd and saves time. ๏ƒ˜Managed bus station contain proper incoming and outgoing of buses. History of KU Bus Station ๏ƒ˜Initially bus station was near KU main gate ๏ƒ˜Currently near TTC ๏ƒ˜Our proposed bus station is near Warehouse where plenty of barren land are available. 1

Kathmandu University Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering PROBLEM STATEMENT ๏ƒ˜Proposed Location site was changed. ๏ƒ˜ Unscaled toy bus makes scaling process tedious. ๏ƒ˜ Difficulty in showing all the slopes. So limited slope area is shown. ๏ƒ˜ LED lights were just represented instead of demonstrating them by lighting on. ๏ƒ˜ Hexagonal fountain base and component for fountain cannot be made as expected. 2

The project made us to work in team and develop the skill of working on the projects. The project has also helped us working with scales and modeling. 6

Kathmandu University Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering DISCUSSIONS โ€ข Our project mainly focuses on adjusting the maximum number of buses in allocated region along with basic facilities and security. This project teaches us about teamwork, measurement and work of scaling. โ€ข Scale Reduction Vertical scale= 1:45 Horizontal Scale= 1:80 7

Different techniques of measurement, Scaling and 3D model construction were learned during the tenure. Beside various rough ideas and plans were turned into real designation. Finally Project work was completed with strong coordination and support of all the team-members. 8

Kathmandu University Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering RECOMMENDATIONS Some of the recommendations which can be overcome in possible future or during the working phase are: ๏ƒ˜Instead of toy bus, self made scaled bus can be used. ๏ƒ˜ Security system can be made strict and efficient using various modern technologies. ๏ƒ˜ Proper lighting and water system can be made. ๏ƒ˜ Design of fountain and its base can be given to some professional Architect. 10
