3. The History of EFQM?
 On 15th September 1988, 14 European Business Leaders met to form
European Foundation.
 EFQM was founded in October 1989 in Brussels with 67 member.
 The Foundation set up a team of experts, from industry and academia, to
develop the EFQM Excellence Model.
 This was first used to support the assessment of organisations in the
European Quality Award in 1992.

 The EFQM Excellence Award is a transnational quality award that
recognizes European businesses with "excellent and sustainable results"
across all areas of the EFQM Excellence Model
 It was established in October 1991 as the European Quality Award by
EFQM.
