Italy is a world trendsetter and has produced some of the greatest furniture
designers in the world, such as Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass, Andrea Branzi, Achille
Castiglioni, Giulio Cappellini and Antonio Citterio.
• Car design
Italian brands like Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Ducati are recognized worldwide for their
style. There are also several symbolic vehicles like Fiat 500, and the symbolic
Vespa Piaggio.
• Fashion design
Examples of major Italian fashion houses are: Gucci, Armani, Emilio Pucci,
Valentino, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Max Mara, Fendi, Moschino,
Missoni.

In 1994 Domus Academy got the Compasso d’Oro award for the
career by ADI (Associazione Disegno Industriale/Design Association).
Students from Domus Academy have been selected in international
contests like Vogue Talents, Red Dot Award. Domus Academy projects
have been exhibited in Venice Architectural Biennial 2004/2010 and at
Centre Pompidou Paris.
Strategic partnership with the University of Wales
that validated the master courses.
Students who have completed the programme
