Monuments of Wales

Ein nod yw cefnogi a galluogi pobl i rannu straeon a phrofiadau trwy ddarparu gwefan
ddwyieithog er mwyn rhannu eitemau gweledol megis ffotograffau a darluniadau,
recordiadau sain sy’n cofnodi hanes llafar, a hefyd ffilmiau byrion.
We aim to support and to enable people to share stories and experiences, by providing a
bilingual website to share visual items such as photographs and drawings, audio recordings
which document oral history and also short films.

17. USING THE
COLLECTIONS –
KEEPING ARCHIVES
ALIVE!
Once logged in to your account you
can go ahead and create collections
using other people’s items as well,
and this can add to the context of
your collection – and even fill in some
essential gaps. You may have
documents, but not much visual
content for example, or you may have
some oral history that could be
enriched by photographs etc.
Remember, the original metadata
from your items, or other people’s
items that you use in a collection or a
story (which is another way of
curating content) will never change –
but you can contribute to sharing the
story of Wales and its people.
