Brunei's architecture is influenced by Islamic and Malay traditions. The traditional Malay house in Brunei follows a basic layout, with areas for living, cooking, and bathing separated by partitions. Wooden structures and platforms are also common architectural elements. Today, Brunei's architecture is evolving to incorporate modern forms while still drawing from cultural influences. Some notable examples of Brunei's architecture include the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, the Royal Regalia Museum, and Istana Nurul Iman, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei.

● Brunei's architecture may be identified or defined not only by its shapes and motifs, but also
by other Adat disciplines. Architects are pushed in today's society to create new
architectural concepts with fresh looks that are different from the previous style.
