This document discusses a project between OVS, Reverse Resources, BGMEA and other brands to implement a circular fashion waste business model in Bangladesh. The goal is to scale circular production of garments made from post-production waste like textile scraps. Suppliers will sort and send scraps to Reverse Resources for logistics, traceability and recycling into fibers. The fibers will be made into new yarn and used to manufacture end products that OVS will purchase. The roles, workflow and contacts are outlined for tracing waste streams, recycling them and circulating back into production.

Introduction
OVS is working on a new initiative to make a quick step forward towards a circular fashion using post-production
waste.
The project is funded by P4g and involves, beside GFA, several brands which work in Bangladesh, Reverse
Resources and BGMEA.
The goal is to implement the Circular Fashion Waste Business Model with the aim to scale up the circular
production of new garments by OVS made from post-production waste streams such as textile scraps, in
Bangladesh. The project is outlined in two stages:
○ Stage 1: Traceability and recapturing of waste streams
○ Stage 2: Recycling waste streams and circulating back into production
A secondary goal of this initiative is to explore the opportunity to co-create and implement a Circular Fashion
Stock Marketplace for deadstock fabrics and potentially overstock garments piled up as a result of COVID-19.

How it works
OVS will identify a selection of suppliers able to
recover textile scraps sorted by color and material.
Those suppliers will be invited to fill a factory profile
template necessary to understand current waste
flows.
Factory personnel have to sort textile scraps by
color and material before sending them to Reverse
Resources.
Reverse Resource will be in charge of the logistic
process and the whole traceability of the system and
will recycle the scraps into fibres.
The fibres will be sent to Cyclo, a spinning mill, located
in Bangladesh which works with recycled materials, to
make new regenerated yarn.
The yarn will be sent to end product manufacturers or
fabric mills.
OVS will buy end products made with recycled
materials.
