My Personal Experiences In My Life
Essay #1 Have you ever felt like life is difficult? Or not to your expectations? Chances are that we all have to deal with some difficult situations at
times. When I was in Middle School I struggled to fit in with my classmates. I have always been quiet and just listened to their conversations. They
always had so much to talk about and plans to see movies and other plans such as going to parties and other social gatherings. But I was never
included or invited. I remember one day I came home and went straight to my room, laid down on my bed and cried. My mom came into my room
and asked what was wrong. I told her what happened that made me feel very sad and cry. A girl in my group passed out invitations for herbirthday party
to everyone but me. My mother told me that if I had received the invitation for the birthday party I would probably be ignored and they would act like
as if I wasn't there. And she also said "this is a life lesson that I want you to remember, when you invite someone make sure you include the whole
group or invite privately. Then she told her story about not having time to be with friends. She came to Santa Barbara from Mexico when she was
seventeen years old with her older sister. A single mother of two daughters, one that was five years old and the other six and a half. And also my
mother's youngest sister who was seven years old. They came to live with their aunt who had seven children of her own all under eighteen years old.
They lived in a four

My Experience In My Life
At this point in my life , if i review my previous experiences i would say that i am fairly pleased. I've been able to gain numerous life and academic
skills through hard work and determination. Though many of my experiences haven't been pleasant ,in a way it has helped me grow and build my
character as a person.
As individuals we all go through many harsh obstacles , obstacles we sometimes think we will never overcome . but eventually we do . right ? think
about it even the hardest things in life we get through , even if at the moment we don't believe we will we still manage to do so . in life we all face
our own inner challenges . but do you believe that those obstacles and difficulties we go through should...show more content...
we also volunteered around the school , we mentored other students , and also got the opportunity to create many new friendships . it was
definitely the best experience . during february we also performed for black history month . we performed a poem by Maya Angelou , called pretty
women. It described us perfectly . i was also on the school softball team . i loved softball , it was my get away . i played softball throughout freshman
year and into junior year . but i soon got a part time at my local walgreens . even though i love and enjoy my job . i wish i would've have someone
there to tell me to wait until i was academically ready to get a job . soon after i started working i got a taste of the real world , late nights , early
morning , even sleepless nights . eventually my grades began to decline . but i was still so caught up with everything happening around me , i
didn't put much mind to it , and so my grades and attendance suffered as well . even though i never really got to run for president or be as involved as
i wanted to i believe i still made a change in my school for the better . now girls who come into high schools as freshman's have the opportunity to join a
club where they might make relationships that lasts a lifetime. But the club itself will help them adjust to their new environment and give back to their
community.
Going through highschool i lost many friendships . i made a lot of mistakes and i most definitely did not

Life Experiences In Life
McVay.Session1. Journal
I've had three life experiences I feel have influenced my academic goals for the better. The first one was when I was 18 years old. I had a promising
future ahead of me, but I was young and naГЇve. Getting married was more important than going to college. Before I knew it, we had three children
under the age of four years old. I was a busy, stay–at–home mom, and I absolutely loved it. I valued the closeness I had with my kids. I dabbled a bit
in home businesses to bring in extra money.
Sales sparked my interests and talents. My marriage was crumbling and I knew I needed a backup plan, so I tried to pursue school but my husband
never allowed it. I lived in a controlled environment, with no room for personal growth.
The kids and I experienced verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. My marriage lasted 15 years before it came to an end. In 2010, I found myself with
three kids, no house, no job, no education, and money. I was starting completely over with nothing but a high school diploma. I was kicking myself for
not going to college when I was eighteen. Having someone control my life to the point that you became completely dependent on them was
eye–opening. This experience taught me a lot, but it also fueled my desire to become educated and not let anyone take that away from me again. I was
an advocate for any youth I was in contact with to get an education and become independent before they get married.
I spent 5 years finding out who I was while

Describe My Experience In Life
Describe an event you have experienced in life and how it has influenced you as a person.
A family's love and a friend's love are very important when one is dealing with hardships in their life. My family and friends are always there for me
when I need to be cheered up, which is often because I am an emotional person, but especially when a loved one of mine is ill or in some kind of
trouble. When my dad got into a four wheeler accident, my family and friends were there for him, but they also comforted me with their love and
presence. Their love and comfort pushed me through the hard times of my dad's accident, and they taught me to do the same for others.
It was a cool Sunday morning in the summer month of August. My brother was getting his senior pictures taken. My family and I were all
laughing and having a great time together. Later in the day, I went to dance choreography while my dad and brothers went on a four wheeler ride
with their friends down in the muddy and rugged creek near our house. Usually after dance choreography, my mom comes to take videos and
pictures of our dance, but our session ended and she was not there. That is when I began to sense something was wrong as the normal became
abnormal. My friend's mom told me she was picking me up because my dad had been in an accident and was flown to the hospital in St. Louis.
Immediately, I began to cry, but my caring dance teacher and loving friends comforted me as I left for the St. Louis hospital with my friend

My Experience In My Life
My life, or perhaps in the manner that I perceive it, has been overwhelmingly filled with enlightening and repressive circumstances that could have been
averted, but all in all, makes up one's destiny. These events intricately tailored me into a young man that grew conscientious of the detrimental behavior
of "acting before thinking" and into the realm of "thinking before acting". What I would soon come to understand was that through sheer patience, and
trial–and–error it instilled within me new insights to learn from and that the most triumphant moments in my life began at the crossroads of
unknowingness, a decision to stay in mediocrity, or the pursuit towards personal greatness– thus the decision had to be met.
In the fall season of 2006, I was a student at Saint John Vianney, a relatively small parochial school. During that time period, I was an immensely
nervous 6th grader that was forced to immerse himself into a Roman Catholic private school that had me sharply at odds with what I had experienced
from schooling in the Folsom Cordova Unified public–school district (Kindergarten to 5th grade). It's important to know that I was sent here by my
parents as a way of disciplining me due to, in their opinion, abhorrent behavior that medically could have stemmed from ADD, but perhaps I was just
restless and explorative.
The very first moment I shared with another soul was by the connective link of vision with a female student, by the name of Scarlett. This young girl (of

My Experience In Life Essay
Although my life has only been a short sequence of fifteen years, I've come to heartily believe that life is only as good as what you make it. The
effort I put in to be a good person has truly affected the outlook I have on life due to personal karma. These life lessons have recently come to my best
attention and interests. True colors have surfaced immensely during the past two years that I have taken on the combats of high school friendships,
relationships, and learning self–worth. Despite the pity I have thrown before, I can now boast with purpose, the distinctive endeavors I have overcome.
Lessons learned from these hardships have taught me that the more I go through young, will have been worthwhile and much appreciated as I grow
older.
Distancing yourself from someone you were once so attached to, when it is not your choice to abandon the relationship, can strip you of your pride
and confidence. However, I believe this is only an inconvenience that is undergone when depending on other people for support rather than putting
oneself first. When a person who has so much of your time and respect leaves your life, it is usual to feel unanchored. At first, I always felt like
someone should feel bad for me and that other people were responsible for how I felt. I put my feelings onto other people. For some reason, I thought
that because I was miserable, the people around me didn't deserve to be happy either. I was selfish and didn't know how to control my emotions. I was in

My Experience In Life
There are many moments in an individual's life where they succeed and learn dramatically from their experience. It could be mentally, physically, or
lead them to a higher self esteem and self confidence. It could be the littlest success such as making a pancake, but it can have so much impact on a
persons self worth. Success can have many different definitions depending on who you ask usually, but at the end of the day, it's usually
improving either as an individual or at a certain task. To begin with, I believe if you put your mind into something, you can do anything. Growing
up, my family has always had high expectations for me and I've always felt very determined despite the pressure. Last year, I had to take the class
precalculus which to some people it may come as a very easy or hard thing to take. It was a very new type of class, and honestly I was taken out of
my study comfort zone because it did require a large amount of hours and work. I would sacrifice so much time such as socializing with my
friends and family, to be the best I could possibly be, and I learned so many study habits I did not have before the class. I consider taking the class,
success as a learner because it was a very impacting and eye opening experience that will come very useful to me in the future. Furthermore, being a
Latina, I am trying my hardest to achieve the best grades possible to beat statistics and graduate college. In fact, I am taking numerous

Personal Experience with Crisis We have all experience some form of crisis in our life. Whether it is minor or more severe, it is something that many
of us can not control. A crisis can involve a series of stressful events or one difficult point in life that effects a person's overall well–being. I had a hard
time coming up with what to write as my crisis for this assignment because when I hear the word crisis, the first thing that comes to mind is that
crisis is a very severe event such as a war or natural disaster. As I read more in depth about the concept of crisis, I found that it does not have to be
something as serious as a war. It can simply be a point in life where you face a difficult situation that makes you feel under...show more content...
Although some may not consider this a crisis, it was for me. This was a crisis for me because I moved from Ghana where the culture, language, people
and overall atmosphere was different. The transition to move to a different country and learn a new culture and language was a stressful and
difficult time in my life. I felt alone and out of place because I did not have friends and when I did, I could not understand or make a conversation
with them for a long time. The phase in the crisis cycle most relatable to my experience is phase 2 – The intensification stage. In this phase, individuals
feel a loss of internal control causing frustration, fear and anger. This stage is most relevant to my experience because I felt frustrated and a loss of
internal control. What caused this crisis was me moving to Canada and not knowing the culture or English. I would not have experienced the crisis if
I knew English and Canadian culture. Due to my circumstances, there was nothing I could have done to stop the crisis from happening. The
behaviour of my peers and people around me during the crisis was both positive and negative, I was bullied and felt that my class mates were judging
me for my accent

Life Experiences: A Personal Analysis
The topics for this essay are challenging for me to describe life experiences, because I feel there is a deeper meaning behind happiness, evil, and a
higher power. People decisions and actions determine how my day will go, due to modern society and the need for financial security. The high
demand of security and keeping up with modern technology distracts individuals from their health, causing an unbalanced world of individuals.
When we are balanced as individuals, we tend to feel good about yourselves, otherwise we feel bad, or our actions can be evil due to an experience
or negativity or neglect. I feel anyone is able to change due to our bodies being able heal, and our inner energy creates this possibility or we allow
the negative to control our energy. By creating a balance of life and surround yourselves with people you want to be a like, or around because we
cannot control other people actions. Growing up with a dysfunction family, has impacted me to do the best for myself and my family I have now. This
is where I can say evil events occurred, but I do not view them that way, I understand...show more content...
If I was not able to believe in myself and accept the negativity or happiness, I would be completely lost. I thank my higher power for keeping me on
track with my goals and helping me find people similar to me, so I can live a life I enjoy while feeling balanced. With the uncontrollable events
that happened in my life, I feel our higher powers connect, because I had no control over those situations. Without these situations, I would not be
the same person I am today and I am thankful I was able to experience these events and still be able to function in society today. My dad still
wonders how he was able to get clean, I like to think he connected to my high power and was able to see the bigger picture and enjoy his life. As much
as others influence us, we influence others just as

Personal Narrative: My Life Changing Experiences
Everyone will undergo a life altering experience at some point. It may only change a small aspect of everyday life, or it may change everything.
Sometimes it is a surprise, other times it can be panned for; either way, no one is ready for the changes that are soon to follow. A lesson is always
taught by these life altering experiences, but not always learned. I realize tragedy is inevitable, I remember that when I think about cancer taking my
best friend, my mother. I was young at the time, but never young minded! I knew well beyond my years, but I learned more than any teacher could
ever teach me when that awful disease won the battle. My momma was always my favorite person, my confidant, and ultimately my ride or die....show

On January 20, she received a call that I was on the way; that was not her first rodeo though, she had already been involved in four other adoptions

tumor and would soon have undergo surgery. For most, that would have ended dreams about having a big family, but not her, she saw this as an
opportunity to help more people. She knew children needed a home and she had one to give. That is the type of person she was, if there was a
way to help she would find and pursue it. She had the biggest heart, I have ever had the privilege of being a part of. My mother had many
honorable traits that include: being humble, honest, and reliable. She gloated of her success or material items or rub it in people's faces nor did she
think she was better than any other soul. My mother was brutally honest, she definitely was not a person I would want to insult because she had no
problem calling someone out in front of a crowd. She had the ability to make someone feel like they were either on top or completely under the

My Experience In My Life
It was all about the experience. The experiences I would have as a result of maturing. These experiences involve plans and sometimes the plans
would get changed to another date or be cancelled entirely. The plans however, encircled my entire being. The trips and vacations would be most
likely be the most memorable times I can and will probably ever experience. The desire to explore new and unknown lands, feeling the luke warm sea
water in my toes was my ideal vision of a future, my plan for my life with one of my best friends at my side. These were planned so that when I reach
age 14 I could experience these types of adventures with my best friend, my most favorite person in the world, my Aunt. Even before I reached the
desired age of maturity. I would "have" these sort of trips with her. I would come over her house for sleep overs. I would get the feel of what it was
like to leave the nest. Leaving my home for the first time was like walking through a mysterious door that brought me to an unfamiliar land full of
new ideas that were previously not known in my green, infantile brain. My first "trip" with her was when I was four. I was so petite and inexperienced
that it was the first time that my parents loosened the reins to an extent at which I could spend the night at someone else's house.
I can remember the day so vividly in my head. When I was told I could go over to her house I was so extremely overcome with joy. The next night I
went over. I was welcomed by the warm

An Experience That Changed My Life Essay
Introduction:
In life we all have something that has changed the way we perceive things. Most things that change a person's perception happens to be an experience
that they have gone thru and learned from. In my case it wasn't necessarily an experience, it was a dog that changed my perception on life. My mind
and heart was opened in a whole new way. I never thought I could love an animal just as much as I loved the people in my life. I always thought it was
strange that pet owners loved and treated their pets the same way they treated their children. My perception on dogs or pets in general definitely
changed. Throughout this paper you will see why I am a totally different person because of a dog that entered my life.

The funniest thing is; she never turned to the left. She would always make circular movements to the left in a quick fashion. Seeing this made my
so happy. I would find myself looking forward to it when I was parking the car in the driveway. Tacha was one greedy dog too, she knew that she
was not allowed in the kitchen, but the second she thought someone wasn't looking she would run in the kitchen and snatch whatever was left out
on the counter. One time I remember ordering Pizza and the family was all in the dining room eating, and when my son went to grab another piece
he noticed that the entire box was on the floor, and the pizza was gone. To our surprise Tacha ate all the pizza. My family would always find this
funny, but there were plenty of nights when we couldn't get seconds on dinner because it was in Tachas belly. Tacha was a smart dog, she was also
aware that she was not allowed to get on any of the beds in the house. This didn't stop her though. On several occasions one of us would walk in the
house, and within 1 second we would hear a loud thump and Tacha running down the stairs. The loud thump was Tacha jumping off the bed. Times
were not always so funny with Tacha, but I never loved her any less. One day Tacha was in the back yard getting some fresh air. I recall attaching her
to the chain and going back in the house. About 1 hour later, the neighbor was banging on my front door screaming, "Come get your dog, come get

My Life Experience Essay
As I look back on the unforgettable week I had during the Habitat 62 trip, I can honestly say that the trip changed the way I looked at college and
West Virginia University overall. My favorite parts of the trip were of course helping others who are less fortunate than myself and the adventures, but
mainly the "class" that was held every night. I joined the adventure trip believing I was just going to help build a house and have fun rock climbing,
exploring, and white–water rafting. I slowly realized that I would learn so much more. Adventure West Virginiataught me life–long lessons that could
help save not only my life one day, but maybe even one of my best friends or a random stranger I had never met before. I believed, like most high
school students and people in general around the world, that at West Virginia UniversityI was going to find a party in every direction I looked with
many of my own peers drinking alcohol. The perspective view I had before the trip and after were completely opposite. I found out on the trip that I
can find parties if I feel the need to, but overall there are plenty of activities to do besides partying and drinking. I originally thought that I was going
to struggle heavily to write the amount advised for the journal entries at the end of every day.
On my way home from adventure, I had one of those moments were out of nowhere there is an overwhelming sensation or feeling that you forgot
something. I had forgot my journal in the adventure

An Experience that changed my Life
Life is full of learning and it is mostly due to our daily life experiences. These experiences are mostly based on our surrounding environment from
where we learn new things every day. But all these experiences are a result of our keen observations out of daily routines. It is very important to note
that life also provides us with some chances to experience new people or places that are indeed out of the ordinary. That is thetime we indeed learn new
and unique things, hence these are unique experiences of our life which are remembered by us throughout our life span. I have visited USA and this
was indeed a life time experience. Going through new and strikingly important things really made me filled up with pleasure. It was indeed very joyful
and marvelous experience. I am very happy and expecting many more things and unique experience coming my way and making me enjoy new and
exciting things.
USA is a place which is full of new experiences that is what makes it even more exciting due to all kinds of diversity in food in recreation and work;
hence everything here is much more diverse than a normal place available for recreation anywhere in the world. This was the first time in my life

My Personal Experience In My Life
For an individual to be a success, it is imperative to possess qualities beyond intellect. To flourish in your career and in life, your character must drive
you toward your aspirations. Throughout life, several experiences have molded me into a person of resilience, empathy, and composure. Such values
have allowed me to reach my goals and serve my community. In supplement to my intelligence, these assets render me an exceptional student and
employee. The ability to be resilient is at the core of who I am, and the challenges that have created this strength have taught me empathy. Because of
my weight, I faced bullying often and found liberation in sports and exercise. Eventually, I lost fifty pounds and ascended the social ladder. With...show

When my grandfather suffered from a massive heart attack, and was brain dead upon resuscitation, I started practicing composure. Once taken life
support, his heart kept beating for a week. Because my parents raised me to be strong and to put others before myself, I spent the week supporting
my grandmother and taking care of my grandfather's body. I never thought I could handle something like that, but for my grandfather, I would do
anything. That week I truly put others before myself; staying at the hospital until the early morning, then driving straight to class, and back to the
hospital again. During this time was when I knew to pick a vocation where I could be of assistance to others. Helping to care for my grandfather is
what led me to my job as a nursing assistant. This is when I began discovering my love for service and developing myself as a woman for others. At
work, there were days when I wanted to break down and cry in front patients due to the pain I felt at the inability of myself and the healthcare system
to cure their illness, but I did not cry. Instead, I would tell them that they could handle it, and they are capable of more than they realize; that I hurt
for them and that I was remorseful there is nothing further I could do. No matter how terrible my day had been, there was no other option but to walk
in that room and act like I had the best day of my life and that is composure. Lucky enough to have the

Life Experience Essay
Life is full of exciting experiences for us to enjoy. However, these experiences are meant to teach life lessons that should remain with us. In my 17
years of living, I have had many lessons to be learned from events I have gone through. One of those lessons sticks out above the rest and it has a
humorous story to go along with it.
The story starts out with the group planning a get together while eating breakfast at Mcdonald's. Ideas were flowing out of our heads like a river.
We could not agree on a plan of action for the longest time. Finally, it was decided that we should go to Kenzie's house after she said her dad
would cook for us. I was immediately down for that idea because I knew her dad makes the best chicken wings ever. The rest of the day for me was
spent thinking about what to wear that night. Eventually, the time came for heading over to Kenzie's house. Bailey, another girl in the group, asked
me to give her a ride since she did not have her driver's license. Because of this, we were one of the last ones to make it to Kenzie's. In the time that
we missed the group decided that they wanted to go and toilet paper some of our friend's houses that lived close to Kenzie. I had never done
something like this before. However, the excitement of doing this and avoid being caught appealed to me. We all piled into the cars and headed to
Wal–Mart to buy the toilet paper. We had an interesting event that happened to us while we were in Wal–Mart. The event was when

All of us have a story to tell. Something that separates us from others. We may have similar experiences, but what makes us different is how we
handle them. In my life I have cherished memories, hopes for my future, and heartaches that may never leave. Life can get complicated, but it's all
about figuring out who you are and who you want to be.
I would say I had a pretty good childhood. It was filled with good memories, great laughs, and lots of fun. When I was 3, my parents divorced, but I
can't really remember them ever being together so it's never been an issue. At my mom's house I always spent a lot of time at my grandma's house
playing with my cousins. It was like having a bunch of brothers and sisters. We still have great relationships between each other, even now inhigh
school. On my dad's side, his family lives in California so I don't get to see them as much, but the friends we hang out with are practically family. Our
neighbors have three kids from the ages 1–6. I consider them as three more siblings pretty much. It's very warm and comfortable just like at my
mom's. As for my school life, from 1st grade to 6th grade I went to the Catholic school here in Thorp. I had some pretty good years there. Because
there were only about 10 of us, it felt like another little family. In 7th grade is when I transferred to the Public school. I think because I'd gotten used
to being in smaller groups, coming to the Public school was a big deal with the class sizes being larger.

Life Experiences In My Life
Everyone has life experiences that had shaped who they are in the present day. Some people encounter situations where the sophistication inspires
them to achieve better quality in life or the undergoing is too depressing and then individuals commence to expect nothing marvelous to transpire
from their experiences. With this in mind, the empiricism of the individuals could cause a positive or a negative on their lives and passion for
excellence. All experiences should be uplifting to a person's dedication to be successful in life. For me, the life experiences that always kept me going
and shaped the person that I am today were my mother's work ethic, my medical issues, and my high school years. My mother's work ethic was always
extraordinary encouraging and energizing. She inspires me to have the same attitude towards college as she did towards work .She gets up on
time by setting her alarm clock every night before going to sleep. Also, she makes sure that her children get up on time to go to school, so she sets
their alarm clock too. Additionally, she has a positive thinking strategy towards going to work every day and sometimes even every night when
she works overtime at her job. She envisions working as a life experience and never thought of it as nudnik, even though work could be a very
boring place to be. However, she always encourages her children to acquire a sturdy education in order to be successful in life. She motivates us by
explaining her life story of the struggles of growing up without a father as a child and how she wants us to never go thought the difficult
experiences that she went thought. Every day she kisses and tell us to have a good day and learn as much as we could learn. To conclude, my
mother's work attitude will always prompt me to achieve a better quality in life, but my medical issues also play a sockdolager role in my life
experiences. Most of my medical issues are very dreadful to undergo and overcome. Growing up as a disabled child with a tracheostomy and a
gastrostomy tube, my medical life experiences had its twists and turns. For example, about nine years ago, I had to get a major surgery on my face

My Personal Experiences In My Life

  • 1. My Personal Experiences In My Life Essay #1 Have you ever felt like life is difficult? Or not to your expectations? Chances are that we all have to deal with some difficult situations at times. When I was in Middle School I struggled to fit in with my classmates. I have always been quiet and just listened to their conversations. They always had so much to talk about and plans to see movies and other plans such as going to parties and other social gatherings. But I was never included or invited. I remember one day I came home and went straight to my room, laid down on my bed and cried. My mom came into my room and asked what was wrong. I told her what happened that made me feel very sad and cry. A girl in my group passed out invitations for herbirthday party to everyone but me. My mother told me that if I had received the invitation for the birthday party I would probably be ignored and they would act like as if I wasn't there. And she also said "this is a life lesson that I want you to remember, when you invite someone make sure you include the whole group or invite privately. Then she told her story about not having time to be with friends. She came to Santa Barbara from Mexico when she was seventeen years old with her older sister. A single mother of two daughters, one that was five years old and the other six and a half. And also my mother's youngest sister who was seven years old. They came to live with their aunt who had seven children of her own all under eighteen years old. They lived in a four Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Experience In My Life At this point in my life , if i review my previous experiences i would say that i am fairly pleased. I've been able to gain numerous life and academic skills through hard work and determination. Though many of my experiences haven't been pleasant ,in a way it has helped me grow and build my character as a person. As individuals we all go through many harsh obstacles , obstacles we sometimes think we will never overcome . but eventually we do . right ? think about it even the hardest things in life we get through , even if at the moment we don't believe we will we still manage to do so . in life we all face our own inner challenges . but do you believe that those obstacles and difficulties we go through should...show more content... we also volunteered around the school , we mentored other students , and also got the opportunity to create many new friendships . it was definitely the best experience . during february we also performed for black history month . we performed a poem by Maya Angelou , called pretty women. It described us perfectly . i was also on the school softball team . i loved softball , it was my get away . i played softball throughout freshman year and into junior year . but i soon got a part time at my local walgreens . even though i love and enjoy my job . i wish i would've have someone there to tell me to wait until i was academically ready to get a job . soon after i started working i got a taste of the real world , late nights , early morning , even sleepless nights . eventually my grades began to decline . but i was still so caught up with everything happening around me , i didn't put much mind to it , and so my grades and attendance suffered as well . even though i never really got to run for president or be as involved as i wanted to i believe i still made a change in my school for the better . now girls who come into high schools as freshman's have the opportunity to join a club where they might make relationships that lasts a lifetime. But the club itself will help them adjust to their new environment and give back to their community. Going through highschool i lost many friendships . i made a lot of mistakes and i most definitely did not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Life Experiences In Life McVay.Session1. Journal I've had three life experiences I feel have influenced my academic goals for the better. The first one was when I was 18 years old. I had a promising future ahead of me, but I was young and naГЇve. Getting married was more important than going to college. Before I knew it, we had three children under the age of four years old. I was a busy, stay–at–home mom, and I absolutely loved it. I valued the closeness I had with my kids. I dabbled a bit in home businesses to bring in extra money. Sales sparked my interests and talents. My marriage was crumbling and I knew I needed a backup plan, so I tried to pursue school but my husband never allowed it. I lived in a controlled environment, with no room for personal growth. The kids and I experienced verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. My marriage lasted 15 years before it came to an end. In 2010, I found myself with three kids, no house, no job, no education, and money. I was starting completely over with nothing but a high school diploma. I was kicking myself for not going to college when I was eighteen. Having someone control my life to the point that you became completely dependent on them was eye–opening. This experience taught me a lot, but it also fueled my desire to become educated and not let anyone take that away from me again. I was an advocate for any youth I was in contact with to get an education and become independent before they get married. I spent 5 years finding out who I was while Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Describe My Experience In Life Describe an event you have experienced in life and how it has influenced you as a person. A family's love and a friend's love are very important when one is dealing with hardships in their life. My family and friends are always there for me when I need to be cheered up, which is often because I am an emotional person, but especially when a loved one of mine is ill or in some kind of trouble. When my dad got into a four wheeler accident, my family and friends were there for him, but they also comforted me with their love and presence. Their love and comfort pushed me through the hard times of my dad's accident, and they taught me to do the same for others. It was a cool Sunday morning in the summer month of August. My brother was getting his senior pictures taken. My family and I were all laughing and having a great time together. Later in the day, I went to dance choreography while my dad and brothers went on a four wheeler ride with their friends down in the muddy and rugged creek near our house. Usually after dance choreography, my mom comes to take videos and pictures of our dance, but our session ended and she was not there. That is when I began to sense something was wrong as the normal became abnormal. My friend's mom told me she was picking me up because my dad had been in an accident and was flown to the hospital in St. Louis. Immediately, I began to cry, but my caring dance teacher and loving friends comforted me as I left for the St. Louis hospital with my friend Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Experience In My Life My life, or perhaps in the manner that I perceive it, has been overwhelmingly filled with enlightening and repressive circumstances that could have been averted, but all in all, makes up one's destiny. These events intricately tailored me into a young man that grew conscientious of the detrimental behavior of "acting before thinking" and into the realm of "thinking before acting". What I would soon come to understand was that through sheer patience, and trial–and–error it instilled within me new insights to learn from and that the most triumphant moments in my life began at the crossroads of unknowingness, a decision to stay in mediocrity, or the pursuit towards personal greatness– thus the decision had to be met. In the fall season of 2006, I was a student at Saint John Vianney, a relatively small parochial school. During that time period, I was an immensely nervous 6th grader that was forced to immerse himself into a Roman Catholic private school that had me sharply at odds with what I had experienced from schooling in the Folsom Cordova Unified public–school district (Kindergarten to 5th grade). It's important to know that I was sent here by my parents as a way of disciplining me due to, in their opinion, abhorrent behavior that medically could have stemmed from ADD, but perhaps I was just restless and explorative. The very first moment I shared with another soul was by the connective link of vision with a female student, by the name of Scarlett. This young girl (of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Experience In Life Essay Although my life has only been a short sequence of fifteen years, I've come to heartily believe that life is only as good as what you make it. The effort I put in to be a good person has truly affected the outlook I have on life due to personal karma. These life lessons have recently come to my best attention and interests. True colors have surfaced immensely during the past two years that I have taken on the combats of high school friendships, relationships, and learning self–worth. Despite the pity I have thrown before, I can now boast with purpose, the distinctive endeavors I have overcome. Lessons learned from these hardships have taught me that the more I go through young, will have been worthwhile and much appreciated as I grow older. Distancing yourself from someone you were once so attached to, when it is not your choice to abandon the relationship, can strip you of your pride and confidence. However, I believe this is only an inconvenience that is undergone when depending on other people for support rather than putting oneself first. When a person who has so much of your time and respect leaves your life, it is usual to feel unanchored. At first, I always felt like someone should feel bad for me and that other people were responsible for how I felt. I put my feelings onto other people. For some reason, I thought that because I was miserable, the people around me didn't deserve to be happy either. I was selfish and didn't know how to control my emotions. I was in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Experience In Life There are many moments in an individual's life where they succeed and learn dramatically from their experience. It could be mentally, physically, or lead them to a higher self esteem and self confidence. It could be the littlest success such as making a pancake, but it can have so much impact on a persons self worth. Success can have many different definitions depending on who you ask usually, but at the end of the day, it's usually improving either as an individual or at a certain task. To begin with, I believe if you put your mind into something, you can do anything. Growing up, my family has always had high expectations for me and I've always felt very determined despite the pressure. Last year, I had to take the class precalculus which to some people it may come as a very easy or hard thing to take. It was a very new type of class, and honestly I was taken out of my study comfort zone because it did require a large amount of hours and work. I would sacrifice so much time such as socializing with my friends and family, to be the best I could possibly be, and I learned so many study habits I did not have before the class. I consider taking the class, success as a learner because it was a very impacting and eye opening experience that will come very useful to me in the future. Furthermore, being a Latina, I am trying my hardest to achieve the best grades possible to beat statistics and graduate college. In fact, I am taking numerous Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Personal Experience with Crisis We have all experience some form of crisis in our life. Whether it is minor or more severe, it is something that many of us can not control. A crisis can involve a series of stressful events or one difficult point in life that effects a person's overall well–being. I had a hard time coming up with what to write as my crisis for this assignment because when I hear the word crisis, the first thing that comes to mind is that crisis is a very severe event such as a war or natural disaster. As I read more in depth about the concept of crisis, I found that it does not have to be something as serious as a war. It can simply be a point in life where you face a difficult situation that makes you feel under...show more content... Although some may not consider this a crisis, it was for me. This was a crisis for me because I moved from Ghana where the culture, language, people and overall atmosphere was different. The transition to move to a different country and learn a new culture and language was a stressful and difficult time in my life. I felt alone and out of place because I did not have friends and when I did, I could not understand or make a conversation with them for a long time. The phase in the crisis cycle most relatable to my experience is phase 2 – The intensification stage. In this phase, individuals feel a loss of internal control causing frustration, fear and anger. This stage is most relevant to my experience because I felt frustrated and a loss of internal control. What caused this crisis was me moving to Canada and not knowing the culture or English. I would not have experienced the crisis if I knew English and Canadian culture. Due to my circumstances, there was nothing I could have done to stop the crisis from happening. The behaviour of my peers and people around me during the crisis was both positive and negative, I was bullied and felt that my class mates were judging me for my accent Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Life Experiences: A Personal Analysis The topics for this essay are challenging for me to describe life experiences, because I feel there is a deeper meaning behind happiness, evil, and a higher power. People decisions and actions determine how my day will go, due to modern society and the need for financial security. The high demand of security and keeping up with modern technology distracts individuals from their health, causing an unbalanced world of individuals. When we are balanced as individuals, we tend to feel good about yourselves, otherwise we feel bad, or our actions can be evil due to an experience or negativity or neglect. I feel anyone is able to change due to our bodies being able heal, and our inner energy creates this possibility or we allow the negative to control our energy. By creating a balance of life and surround yourselves with people you want to be a like, or around because we cannot control other people actions. Growing up with a dysfunction family, has impacted me to do the best for myself and my family I have now. This is where I can say evil events occurred, but I do not view them that way, I understand...show more content... If I was not able to believe in myself and accept the negativity or happiness, I would be completely lost. I thank my higher power for keeping me on track with my goals and helping me find people similar to me, so I can live a life I enjoy while feeling balanced. With the uncontrollable events that happened in my life, I feel our higher powers connect, because I had no control over those situations. Without these situations, I would not be the same person I am today and I am thankful I was able to experience these events and still be able to function in society today. My dad still wonders how he was able to get clean, I like to think he connected to my high power and was able to see the bigger picture and enjoy his life. As much as others influence us, we influence others just as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Personal Narrative: My Life Changing Experiences Everyone will undergo a life altering experience at some point. It may only change a small aspect of everyday life, or it may change everything. Sometimes it is a surprise, other times it can be panned for; either way, no one is ready for the changes that are soon to follow. A lesson is always taught by these life altering experiences, but not always learned. I realize tragedy is inevitable, I remember that when I think about cancer taking my best friend, my mother. I was young at the time, but never young minded! I knew well beyond my years, but I learned more than any teacher could ever teach me when that awful disease won the battle. My momma was always my favorite person, my confidant, and ultimately my ride or die....show more content... On January 20, she received a call that I was on the way; that was not her first rodeo though, she had already been involved in four other adoptions with my brothers Eddie and Bryan, and my sisters Candy and Nicole. At the age of 18, after her first born child, she got news that she had a brain tumor and would soon have undergo surgery. For most, that would have ended dreams about having a big family, but not her, she saw this as an opportunity to help more people. She knew children needed a home and she had one to give. That is the type of person she was, if there was a way to help she would find and pursue it. She had the biggest heart, I have ever had the privilege of being a part of. My mother had many honorable traits that include: being humble, honest, and reliable. She gloated of her success or material items or rub it in people's faces nor did she think she was better than any other soul. My mother was brutally honest, she definitely was not a person I would want to insult because she had no problem calling someone out in front of a crowd. She had the ability to make someone feel like they were either on top or completely under the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Experience In My Life It was all about the experience. The experiences I would have as a result of maturing. These experiences involve plans and sometimes the plans would get changed to another date or be cancelled entirely. The plans however, encircled my entire being. The trips and vacations would be most likely be the most memorable times I can and will probably ever experience. The desire to explore new and unknown lands, feeling the luke warm sea water in my toes was my ideal vision of a future, my plan for my life with one of my best friends at my side. These were planned so that when I reach age 14 I could experience these types of adventures with my best friend, my most favorite person in the world, my Aunt. Even before I reached the desired age of maturity. I would "have" these sort of trips with her. I would come over her house for sleep overs. I would get the feel of what it was like to leave the nest. Leaving my home for the first time was like walking through a mysterious door that brought me to an unfamiliar land full of new ideas that were previously not known in my green, infantile brain. My first "trip" with her was when I was four. I was so petite and inexperienced that it was the first time that my parents loosened the reins to an extent at which I could spend the night at someone else's house. I can remember the day so vividly in my head. When I was told I could go over to her house I was so extremely overcome with joy. The next night I went over. I was welcomed by the warm Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. An Experience That Changed My Life Essay Introduction: In life we all have something that has changed the way we perceive things. Most things that change a person's perception happens to be an experience that they have gone thru and learned from. In my case it wasn't necessarily an experience, it was a dog that changed my perception on life. My mind and heart was opened in a whole new way. I never thought I could love an animal just as much as I loved the people in my life. I always thought it was strange that pet owners loved and treated their pets the same way they treated their children. My perception on dogs or pets in general definitely changed. Throughout this paper you will see why I am a totally different person because of a dog that entered my life. People say a man's...show more content... The funniest thing is; she never turned to the left. She would always make circular movements to the left in a quick fashion. Seeing this made my so happy. I would find myself looking forward to it when I was parking the car in the driveway. Tacha was one greedy dog too, she knew that she was not allowed in the kitchen, but the second she thought someone wasn't looking she would run in the kitchen and snatch whatever was left out on the counter. One time I remember ordering Pizza and the family was all in the dining room eating, and when my son went to grab another piece he noticed that the entire box was on the floor, and the pizza was gone. To our surprise Tacha ate all the pizza. My family would always find this funny, but there were plenty of nights when we couldn't get seconds on dinner because it was in Tachas belly. Tacha was a smart dog, she was also aware that she was not allowed to get on any of the beds in the house. This didn't stop her though. On several occasions one of us would walk in the house, and within 1 second we would hear a loud thump and Tacha running down the stairs. The loud thump was Tacha jumping off the bed. Times were not always so funny with Tacha, but I never loved her any less. One day Tacha was in the back yard getting some fresh air. I recall attaching her to the chain and going back in the house. About 1 hour later, the neighbor was banging on my front door screaming, "Come get your dog, come get your dog, she's chasing Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Life Experience Essay As I look back on the unforgettable week I had during the Habitat 62 trip, I can honestly say that the trip changed the way I looked at college and West Virginia University overall. My favorite parts of the trip were of course helping others who are less fortunate than myself and the adventures, but mainly the "class" that was held every night. I joined the adventure trip believing I was just going to help build a house and have fun rock climbing, exploring, and white–water rafting. I slowly realized that I would learn so much more. Adventure West Virginiataught me life–long lessons that could help save not only my life one day, but maybe even one of my best friends or a random stranger I had never met before. I believed, like most high school students and people in general around the world, that at West Virginia UniversityI was going to find a party in every direction I looked with many of my own peers drinking alcohol. The perspective view I had before the trip and after were completely opposite. I found out on the trip that I can find parties if I feel the need to, but overall there are plenty of activities to do besides partying and drinking. I originally thought that I was going to struggle heavily to write the amount advised for the journal entries at the end of every day. On my way home from adventure, I had one of those moments were out of nowhere there is an overwhelming sensation or feeling that you forgot something. • 16. My Personal Experience In My Life For an individual to be a success, it is imperative to possess qualities beyond intellect. To flourish in your career and in life, your character must drive you toward your aspirations. Throughout life, several experiences have molded me into a person of resilience, empathy, and composure. Such values have allowed me to reach my goals and serve my community. In supplement to my intelligence, these assets render me an exceptional student and employee. The ability to be resilient is at the core of who I am, and the challenges that have created this strength have taught me empathy. Because of my weight, I faced bullying often and found liberation in sports and exercise. Eventually, I lost fifty pounds and ascended the social ladder. With...show more content... When my grandfather suffered from a massive heart attack, and was brain dead upon resuscitation, I started practicing composure. Once taken life support, his heart kept beating for a week. Because my parents raised me to be strong and to put others before myself, I spent the week supporting my grandmother and taking care of my grandfather's body. I never thought I could handle something like that, but for my grandfather, I would do anything. That week I truly put others before myself; staying at the hospital until the early morning, then driving straight to class, and back to the hospital again. During this time was when I knew to pick a vocation where I could be of assistance to others. Helping to care for my grandfather is what led me to my job as a nursing assistant. This is when I began discovering my love for service and developing myself as a woman for others. At work, there were days when I wanted to break down and cry in front patients due to the pain I felt at the inability of myself and the healthcare system to cure their illness, but I did not cry. Instead, I would tell them that they could handle it, and they are capable of more than they realize; that I hurt for them and that I was remorseful there is nothing further I could do. No matter how terrible my day had been, there was no other option but to walk in that room and act like I had the best day of my life and that is composure. • 17. Life Experience Essay Life is full of exciting experiences for us to enjoy. However, these experiences are meant to teach life lessons that should remain with us. In my 17 years of living, I have had many lessons to be learned from events I have gone through. One of those lessons sticks out above the rest and it has a humorous story to go along with it. The story starts out with the group planning a get together while eating breakfast at Mcdonald's. Ideas were flowing out of our heads like a river. We could not agree on a plan of action for the longest time. Finally, it was decided that we should go to Kenzie's house after she said her dad would cook for us. I was immediately down for that idea because I knew her dad makes the best chicken wings ever. The rest of the day for me was spent thinking about what to wear that night. Eventually, the time came for heading over to Kenzie's house. Bailey, another girl in the group, asked me to give her a ride since she did not have her driver's license. Because of this, we were one of the last ones to make it to Kenzie's. In the time that we missed the group decided that they wanted to go and toilet paper some of our friend's houses that lived close to Kenzie. I had never done something like this before. However, the excitement of doing this and avoid being caught appealed to me. We all piled into the cars and headed to Wal–Mart to buy the toilet paper. We had an interesting event that happened to us while we were in Wal–Mart. The event was when Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. All of us have a story to tell. Something that separates us from others. We may have similar experiences, but what makes us different is how we handle them. In my life I have cherished memories, hopes for my future, and heartaches that may never leave. Life can get complicated, but it's all about figuring out who you are and who you want to be. I would say I had a pretty good childhood. It was filled with good memories, great laughs, and lots of fun. When I was 3, my parents divorced, but I can't really remember them ever being together so it's never been an issue. At my mom's house I always spent a lot of time at my grandma's house playing with my cousins. It was like having a bunch of brothers and sisters. We still have great relationships between each other, even now inhigh school. On my dad's side, his family lives in California so I don't get to see them as much, but the friends we hang out with are practically family. Our neighbors have three kids from the ages 1–6. I consider them as three more siblings pretty much. It's very warm and comfortable just like at my mom's. As for my school life, from 1st grade to 6th grade I went to the Catholic school here in Thorp. I had some pretty good years there. Because there were only about 10 of us, it felt like another little family. In 7th grade is when I transferred to the Public school. I think because I'd gotten used to being in smaller groups, coming to the Public school was a big deal with the class sizes being larger. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Life Experiences In My Life Everyone has life experiences that had shaped who they are in the present day. Some people encounter situations where the sophistication inspires them to achieve better quality in life or the undergoing is too depressing and then individuals commence to expect nothing marvelous to transpire from their experiences. With this in mind, the empiricism of the individuals could cause a positive or a negative on their lives and passion for excellence. All experiences should be uplifting to a person's dedication to be successful in life. For me, the life experiences that always kept me going and shaped the person that I am today were my mother's work ethic, my medical issues, and my high school years. My mother's work ethic was always extraordinary encouraging and energizing. She inspires me to have the same attitude towards college as she did towards work .She gets up on time by setting her alarm clock every night before going to sleep. Also, she makes sure that her children get up on time to go to school, so she sets their alarm clock too. Additionally, she has a positive thinking strategy towards going to work every day and sometimes even every night when she works overtime at her job. She envisions working as a life experience and never thought of it as nudnik, even though work could be a very boring place to be. However, she always encourages her children to acquire a sturdy education in order to be successful in life. She motivates us by explaining her life story of the struggles of growing up without a father as a child and how she wants us to never go thought the difficult experiences that she went thought. Every day she kisses and tell us to have a good day and learn as much as we could learn. To conclude, my mother's work attitude will always prompt me to achieve a better quality in life, but my medical issues also play a sockdolager role in my life experiences. Most of my medical issues are very dreadful to undergo and overcome. Growing up as a disabled child with a tracheostomy and a gastrostomy tube, my medical life experiences had its twists and turns.
