 Plebeians were the common people of Rome 
 Very poor 
 Nobody listened to them. 
 They loved Caesar because he listened to their 
thoughts and opinions. 
 Clothing was often made of material that was cheap 
 The type of clothing was significant to the type of 
people they were
 Pointy hats 
 Made of wool cloth 
 Very simple
 Wool cloth 
 Very simple 
 Very cheap 
 The way they wore the 
cloth was like a robe.
 Lower body was an extension of the upper body 
 Made of wool cloth 
 Cheap 
 Very simple. 
 Robe 
 Often time it was brown
 Leather sandals 
 Most romans wore leather sandals but plebeians were 
probably cheaper or not as nice 
 Very simple-not fancy
 Plebeian clothing was very cheap 
 The materials were most likely wool or leather 
 The cheap clothing represented their place in society 
 When people saw them they knew they were lower 
class 
 This is why the way you dressed was important
