3. About the Institute
Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly, a mission
conceptualised in year 2002 is the most modern 1350 bedded multi super
speciality and tertiary care hospital and a recognized medical college,
catering for health needs in a radius of 250 kms of Bareilly zone reaching
up to farthest border towns of Uttarakhand & Nepal. The Medical College
(recognized by Ministry of Health, Govt. of India and approved by Medical
Council of India, New Delhi) offers Undergraduate (M.B.B.S.) and
Postgraduate (M.D./M.S.) courses.
The Institute in twenty one years of its establishment has grown multifold in
terms of facilities, expertise and medical education. It is the only medical
college among the self-funded ones to house one of the best medical
technologies available in the country for diagnosis and intervention.
Among them are 3 Tesla MRI, 256 Slice Dual Source CT Scan, High
Energy LinearAccelerator, Brachy-Therapy Unit alongwith 13 ultramodern
fully equipped modular laminar flow OTs, SICU, ICU, ICCU, NICU, PICU,
Cath Lab supported by high tech computerised clinical labs and blood
bank with component separation facility.
About the Department
The Department of Pediatrics at SRMSIMS has been serving as a tertiary
care centre in Rohilkhand region for more than a decade now. Department
has a total capacity of 90 general beds along with fully equipped NICU
and PICU of 20 beds each providing state of the art intensive care.
Speciality clinics for thalassemia, asthma, neurology and nephrology are
running simultaneously with general OPD.
Now in the 11th year of post graduate programme (MD Pediatrics) with
intake of 6 students per year, the responsibility of the department has
increased multifold towards the patient as well as students .
In pursuit of justified treatment, the department is functioning on a
comprehensive protocol and providing evidence based treatment to all the
patients, with optimum support of different departments.
