Just like SWOT analysis is very essential for every organisation, in the same way it is very
essential at the time of hiring the candidate. Many interviewers want to know the strength,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats of their recruiters, and especially the strengths and
weakness as they are the internal factors, whereas opportunities and threats are external
factors. Also, knowing about strength tells the interviewer how the candidate is different
from others (or competitors) such as the candidate could be very hardworking, persistence
or a good communicator. Those who know their weaknesses and can openly express
themselves through SWOT, that means they are well adopted and have the ability to adjust
in any kind of environment. Also, weaknesses gave the employer an insight into our
suitability as a right candidate. And by talking about opportunities and threats that how
much candidate is familiar about their organization. In this step, the candidate must tell the
truth about instead of just telling or flattering the interviewer to tell him only what he wants
to hear.
5. BODY LANGUAGE
The famous proverb which had been said by Steve Jobs i.e. “the first impression is the
last impression. This means that whenever the person enters in the interview room, from
then onwards the interviewer makes the mindset of hiring the candidate or not. The
interviewer will notice the dressing sense and style, way of walking, gestures etc. If the
person is in informal or very shabbily dressed, then the interviewer would surely makes the
mind of not hiring that candidate. Even if he is taking the interview that is only because of
his generosity. Many candidates think that interview process starts after asking questions by
the interviewer. But this is actually not true. This process starts at the time of entering of the
candidate in the interview room. The following things should be taken care by the candidate
while visiting for an interview: -

The style of writing of C.V.s should always be in a formal form. It
should never be in informal form. The use of formal writing styles such
as Calibri, Times New Roman, Arial should be used. There should not
be the life story of the candidate. There should only relevant points
included in C.V.s so that it could not appear lengthy to the interviewer.
Interviewer spends just 15-30 seconds for analyzing the C.V. of the
candidate. So, it is essential for the candidate to mention only specific
points and if possible highlight only the significant ones. There should
