3. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Civil Site Engineer:
 Dealing and handling the sub-contractors for completion of construction activities
as per project requirements in back to back contract
 Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to
Engineering plans, specifications and construction quality and safety standards.
 Interpreting construction drawings, delivering the highest standard of quality to
clients and to the company requirements.
 Liaising with design departments and design Consultant for construction drawings
and also for resolving technical queries.
 Handling all construction activities entailing: providing technical inputs for
methodologies of construction & supervising site management activities.
 Planning, supervising & achieving maintenance targets (preventive, breakdown and
corrective) within allocated budgets to ensure obstacle-free operations.
 Planning, scheduling to ensure completion of the project within the time /
budgetary parameters; for optimising resource utilisation.
 Assists in preparing construction programme and delivering project as per
schedule. Monitoring and supervising the finalisation of requirements, estimates &
BOQ.
 Liaising with Quality Department & requesting the client for inspection of
construction activities.
 Preparing & inspecting construction schedule and methodology, equipment plan,
organisation chart & work execution plan.
 Interacting with Site Purchasers and Suppliers for achieving cost effective purchase
of equipment, accessories, material with timely delivery so as to minimise project
cost.
 Interfacing with external agencies, clients & vendors for executing activities.
 Assessing the requirements of material, spares, components; ensuring ready
availability of material to meet production & dispatch targets.
 Finalising project requirements through coordination & consultation with clients;
maintaining project schedules including material & manpower planning.
 Calculating bill of quantities of the project and maintains log of workmanship
engaged for the works carried out.
 Tracking of cost, quality, materials and other items, preparing micro-level
schedule to work in pace with actual construction cost and schedule.
 Conducting daily on-site training to supervisors and fresh engineers on all
construction activities (In Globlink Hotel Project).
 Maintaining higher standards of Environmental, Health & Safety in the site and also
ensuring extreme safety for the workers.
 Liaising with MEP co-ordinators and reviewing MEP drawings with civil drawings.
