2. This is an image of One Direction. In this photo we
can see that each member of One Direction have
their own style but are all wearing similar colours
which enables us, the audience to know that they
are in the same band. Each member is wearing
trousers and a casual top. They have based their
clothes on the colours of white, red and blue which
all go together and makes the outfits work. Two
members of the band, Niall and Zayn are both
wearing jackets and are standing on the outside of
the them all. This allows us to see that they are all
in one band as they have similarities in their
costume as well as differences.
Both Harry and Zayn and wearing white trousers
whilst Niall, Louis and Liam are wearing different
ones. Each member of the band is wearing at least
one item of each of the three colours which shows
us that they are together and they are one artist.
Their clothes are very stylish and in trend with the
fashion right now. The clothes that they are
wearing suggests high school students due to the
colour and the style of them. They could fit in with
a high school or in a sport team of some kind. This
will attract the audience due to them being able to
relate to the band members. One Direction are
seen here as normal high school students who are
in a team of some sort.
The way they are standing shows us that they are
very close together. The playfulness that we can
see by the way they are all standing and their facial
expressions, Harry’s face says it all. They all look
very close to one another and this again shows us,
the audience that they are together in one band.
This will attract teenage girls as they will have a
crush over One Direction due to the way they look
and their songs.
3. This is an image of the pop band Little Mix. In this
photo we can see that each of the members of Little
Mix have their own style. Each of them are wearing
different clothes but they also have similarities so
we can tell that they are in a band. Each member is
wearing shorts or a skirt, allowing them to show off
their figure more. Each one of them are wearing
bright, vibrant coloured clothes. Two of the
members; Jade and Perrie are both wearing an item
of clothing which is pink and has white dots on it.
This is allowing the audience to know they are
one band. Leigh and Perrie are also both wearing
crop tops which are similar shapes. Both Jesy and
Jade are wearing more of a dress whilst the other
two are wearing shorts. All members are wearing
high heels which are all differently coloured with
bright, bold colours which stand out. This again
allows us, the audience to know that they are in
one band together. The clothes that they are
wearing are all stylish and in trend right now. This
will attract teenage girls as they may look up to
the members of Little Mix for fashion sense. The
clothes that they are wearing are very bright and
there is a big range of colours used which allow
them to stand out even more.
Each of the girls have their hair in their own way.
Each one is natural and it has not been played
around with a lot. Showing that Little Mix is a
natural looking band which will attract teenage
girls even more.
All of the girls are wearing bright, garish patterns
which clash with one another. This represents
the music of Pop. We can instantly tell that they
are in a pop music band due to the colours and
the clothes that they are wearing.
4. This is an image of JLS. In this photo we
can see that each of the members of JLS
have their own style but they also have
similar items of clothing. This allows us to
see that they are in the same band. Each
member is wearing skinny jeans and a
casual top or jacket. Each of them
wearing rather dull, formal colours. Two
of the members; JB and Oritse’ are both
wearing jackets as well as tops.
This shows the similarities amongst the band. Aston and
Marvin are both wearing shirts which have short sleeves,
again showing the similarities amongst the band. They are
all wearing high top shoes which are in trend and very
fashionable right now. The clothes that they are wearing
are all quite big and baggy showing a street side of them.
Their trousers are staked into their high tops with their
tops just above their waist line. They all have fashionable
clothing on which shows us, the audience that they are all
in one band.
The way they are standing also shows us that they are in
the same band. They are all posing in a similar way. Both
Aston and Marvin have their hands in their trouser pockets
which show the laid back look. Whilst both JB and Oritse’
have their hands out and their fingers are spread. Although
JB and Oritse and Aston and Marvin are quite similar to one
another, they still look like a band and this will attract
teenage girls due to their looks and their fashion style.
They are also standing in a way as if they are about to
break out into a dance. This is attractive to the audience as
pop music is paired together with dancing. This again
allows the audience to know that they are a pop music
band.
