Technically and functionally managing the FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine
Controller) system design development team (15 engineers). I was responsible for
delivering software updates through whole lifecycle system design process for large civil
engine programmes, including negotiating requirement changes with customers, Boeing
and Airbus. Configuration management and change management using DIMENSIONS.
2010 – 2011 (H1): ECAR System Verification team leader
Management of 5 people in UK and outsourcing of work to 11 people in Germany, Fault
Insertion Test activity, FMECA updates, formal system verification of Gulfstream and
Bombardier software to support flight test campaign and aircraft certification. Verification
of safety critical software (DO-178B, ARP4754).
2008-10: System Design Engineer - Trent 1000 ElectroMagnetic Compliance (EMC)
Qualification of Trent 1000 Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) hardware and
troubleshooting Trent 1000 software for Boeing 787 first flight test campaign. System
modeling and design using Matlab / Simulink environment. Test data acquisition and
analysis of EEC system response to EMC disturbances
2007–2004(H2): System Verification Engineer – Trent 1000
System verification of the signal validation logic for the Trent 1000 EEC software.
Creation and performance of manual and automatic system verification tests at
hardware in the loop test facilities within a closed box arrangement. Including
requirement management using DOORS. Traceability of test cases vs. requirements.

Technically managing reactive operational requests from our field service engineers and
from our customers in order to restore both their energy production and oil/gas
compressor capabilities (onshore and offshore platforms). To generate solutions I utilize
my expertise in controls systems and in aero-derivative gas turbines (Trent and RB211).
I work principally with Allen-Bradley and Entronic programmable logic controller PLCs
(FT55, FT100, FT110, FT125), Wonderware Human Machine Interface HMI, vibration
system Bently Nevada BN3500 and customer site schematics.
The key systems controlled are fuel valve, variable inlet guide vane, bleed off valve (for
the gas turbine), air and oil flow control (for the overall package), fire and gas detection
systems.
