2. OVER VIEW OF THE SCHOOL
The school started in 1966
Built in a semi rural area with 1324 learners from
grade R to 7 using only 20 classrooms with 35
educators(ratio:66 per class)
Three phases: Foundation, Intermediate and senior
doing various learning areas, projects and activities
to augment their learning
Celebrating 50 years anniversary this year
3. CHALLENGES
Limited physical resources
Inaccessibility of school information by parents and
learners
Lack of support from Department of education
Lack of interest in voluntary reading
Learners inability to spell words correctly
Absent seem and drop outs
Lack of love towards education by learners
Educators who do not want to do things differently
4. OBJECTIVES
Vision of school ” Make very child a star”
To groom global leaders through reading project
To expose learners to global world through technology
To augment learners skills and learning through
technology tools and collaborate with their peers
globally
To encourage parents to support their school
To encourage educators to transform teaching and
learning through technology tools
To encourage innovative and creative minds in learners
that will lead to independent learning
To equip learners with survival skills that will be of
benefit to secure their future careers
To partner with NGO’s for skill acquirement

how applications can be used in class to leverage
innovation in teaching and learning.

Once a month they read on Skype to people outside and
they love it
Got used to different languages and tone on skype
Learners confidence very high
Once a week the elder once teach the younger once in

Communication with parents is done through apps
