Method: Feeding male rats with green coffee extract (containing caffeine and
chlorogenic acid) for 14 days, and then measure triglyceride value (TG Value) of
the rat liver.
Results: Green coffee extract can reduce body fat and body weight. Oral intake of
green coffee beans (100 and 200 mg/kg per day) can reduce TG value of rat liver.
Conclusion: Green coffee extract can effectively decrease weight gain and fat
accumulation by inhibiting the absorption of fat and accelerating
metabolism of live fat.
Green coffee extract can inhibit fat absorption and reduce triglycerides.
