Peter Bickle reported to me in his role as Test Technician from November 2012 to June
2014, with the Waratah Train Project (WTP) at the Auburn Maintenance Centre (AMC).
Peter has been an open, honest and flexible member of the team, with his easy-going
nature helping him adapt to our changing environment. He conducted himself with
integrity and in a professional manner, earning the respect of the wider team in the
process.
Peter was a very proactive and autonomous member of the team requiring little
managerial oversight. He contributed highly to the teams objectives and was constantly
reviewing our processes to find more efficient and innovative methods. Peter has a deep
technical knowledge across most aspects of rolling stock, as well as electrical principals.
He applied this to contribute and improve the depot’s electrical safe-working practices
and documentation.
Peter showed a high level of flexibility when delivery requirements changed at short notice
and was galvanised with the Waratah Project’s outcomes and importance. His dedication
to the team and our deadlines was exemplary and this was demonstrated on many
occasions where Peter would sacrifice his personal time to ensure team success.
