Project Management/Engineering Skills
 Provide leadership and technical direction to the Engineering team in the execution of all
design aspects of the project. This includes development of drawings, software, and
related internal and external customer documents, and providing technical support to
manufacturing, sourcing, and project management
 Coordinate project designs utilizing engineering staff and subcontractors
 Serve as the primary customer technical contact for the duration of project through
commissioning and startup
 Resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure
customer satisfaction, and negotiate / coordinate with staff as appropriate
 Translate customer needs / requirements into detailed project plans while driving internal
execution to meet project targets
 Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as the global engineering
team, product line management, ITO, process engineering, systems engineering,
sourcing, operations management, and manufacturing.
 Lead support and coordinate interface with OEMs and subcontractors.
 Be responsible for establishing the technical requirements, objectives, timing, resources
and funding required and assuring conformance to standards and specifications
 Implement risk mitigation plans to insure successful implementation of the project
 Ensure assigned programs meet cost targets, schedule commitments, and necessary
technical quality
 Ensure assigned programs are fully resourced with the right experience. Forecast
resource loading and report potential resource constraints
 Coordinate, prepare, and maintain quality and delivery of technical deliverables in
support of customer specific applications
 Conduct quality / consistent checks on engineering deliverables and facilitate engineering
design reviews. Ensure assigned projects pass design reviews
 Ensure personnel supporting the assigned programs follow QMS procedures and passes
internal / external QMS audits
 Assist with the development of project engineering scope, man-hour estimates, resource
loading and schedule
 Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company

Proposal Management Skills:
 Tender Design and Support
• Review Customer RFQ Spec, and identify any issues that require follow-up with
Sales
• Supervise team of engineers, sales people, and technical personnel during
proposal preparation
• Set schedule and milestones for proposal.
• Create RFQ compliance matrix identifying any technical or commercial issues
• Create Action list and provide link to proposal engineering, legal and commercial
team.
 Pricing and Quotation
• Develop final pricing and packaging of all cost and data to complete bid
• Manage: Risk Review, credit checks, bond requirements, insurance certificates,
quality questionnaires
• Create Customer final proposal using standard templates
• Order Negotiation and Closing
• Respond to commercial issues and customer clarifications via the Business
Development Manager
• Contract Review/Order Handoff
 Opportunity Pursuits and Tender Support:
• Identify Must Win opportunities and coordinate with Sales Mgt. and Marketing
Director
• Communicate Customer project requirements to Proposal team.
• Identify commercial and technical risks based on design and proposal
• Manage Sales Funnel within their responsible area
Technical Skills:
 Ship/rig Automation, Controls, Power generation, Power distribution and Power
management system design for marine and offshore.
 Propulsion control system design for marine and offshore.
 Propulsion systems design for marine and offshore.
 Multi-disciplinary experience, including design, production, approval and operation of
ship systems.
 Integration and test of complex systems.
 Extensive knowledge in today’s Rules and Regulations, e.g. USCG, ABS SVR, ABS
NVR, Lloyds, DNV, BV, IACS etc.

 Service contracts preparation and handling.
 Cost estimates, schedules and proposal preparation.
 Experience with QA procedures, equipment manufacturing, production cost saving, test
and equipment/system acceptance.
 NPI development.

- Design and specify IPS solutions for vessel applications. Verify
that specified hardware and software meets the customer’s

during proposal and implementation stages.
- Generate engineering and design documentation using schematics,
product descriptions and specifications.
- Perform work involving electrical engineering practices and may
include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design
requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult
coordination requirements.
- Conduct engineering studies on systems and products to determine
suitability for application and compliance with industry accepted
methods and Standards.
- Participation in Risk Review meetings
- Informal training for team members.
- Assign engineering tasks, monitor progress, and make strategic
technical decisions for large multi-million dollar projects.
- Provide technical interface with customers at all stages of a project
to ensure power and control equipment is clearly defined, designed
and commissioned to the customer’s requirements.
- Review customer’s requirements and propose detailed technical
solutions for the sales department to produce technical proposals.
- Provide technical interface between design engineers and
manufacturing.
