SlideShare a Scribd company logo
1. What happened? (Background, brief description of events, specific leadership
actions) What were the results? (Real or potential. Try to include both positive and
negative possibilities. Even if the event seemed clearly good or bad, consider
unintended consequences.)
In this company there is a worker named Omar, He is great at his work, arrives
before everyone else, but sometimes when a new instruction is made by the leader
tends to not take it very good. The leader doesn’t know how to give the instructions
in the right way so he can receive them in the best way possible. That tends to upset
the leader.
This can cause a bad communication with the leader and the worker and therefore a
bad job performance and decrease productivity.
2. Why did this happen? (Consider all possible factors, including the people and the
situation)
Their personalities. The leader is introverted. This can cause that the way the
instruction is made is not the correct way. Also the worker may not be motivated.
3. What class concepts are relevant to this situation? (Mention at least one concept
from class and how they can be used to interpret the situation.)
The personality, can depend on the situation for how the leader express to their
workers and how they receive the instructions.
Persuasion, the leader may use it to achieve the goal.
4. What did you learn from this? (Broader lessons that might apply to other situations
or problems.)
As a leader you can’t just get upset at your workers for not listening, you need to
analyze that is happening inside and outside, the person and the environment, and
most important: yourself, what kind of leader you are and why are your people not
listening to you.
