INTRODUCTION:
Short/Summarized History
Born and from Matshana (Empangeni) this young inspired artist started doing music back at primary
school level (Empangeni Primary, Matshana) working with class mates e.g. Sanele Ngema and
Simphiwe Mkhabela all interested by rap and rnb music, teachers (Mr. Mthembu, Mr. Sibiya)
recognized the potential and would allow them to perform for the class just to build that character
even though there wasn’t a particular subject at school that covered such areas
Percy went to Ziphozonke High School for his High School Education where he and Sanele became
famous as new comers who made live cypher within the school premises during break time, as a
person who also did dance Percy was then approached by the leader of certain crew that was the
best at school to join them and he turned down the offer off which he ended with this guy (Senzo
Mabaso) and they formed an rnb group called U P Squared
Senzo left the group and Siphamandla Majola and Sabelo Khumalo were the newest members and
did a demo that shook the whole of Empangeni earning themselves their first newspaper interview
with local new paper Zululand Observer by Lesley Nuerd who was Lesley Stephenson at the time,
Percy Ndlamlenze is the one who set up this interview
The two other members got caught up in some other activities living Percy with an option to go solo
hence he is the one that was writing songs for the group and Siphamandla, Percy worked with many
rap artist from Empangeni including Artist like Spoon from the famous Liquid KZN, PK and many
other , Percy didn’t just worked with rappers but worked with DJ’s as well e.g. Dj Bhunu Brill and
have even worked with Dj and producers from all over the globe e.g. Toto Chiavetta Italy and Johnny
JM USA have released two tracks digitally with companies like gruvshack and vialocal record’s music

Percy is known for his works as solo artist and is now respected all over the world by people who
touch ears with his works, Percy is also working with a house group called Tribal Natives as a
producer and vocalist
