Personal Statement
I believe that I am very suitable for the job of a director for a multitude of reasons. One of
these reasons is that I am very good leader and pay extreme attention to detail. Another
one of these reasons is as I have a strong interest in the television and film industry. Being a
director means you need to work well individually but more importantly being a part of a
team. I have worked in a team on a few projects such as 'Anathema' (Short Horror Trailer)
and 'Back From the Edge' (Music Video); during these projects I was continuously checking
for continuity errors, I also acted in these productions as I feel that it is important to
experience productions from other perspectives.
I have always had a passion for filmand television which started by watching films such as
'Laurel and Hardy'. This stemmed an interest which I now still follow. Nowadays I devote
time to watch a range of television series such as 'Lost' (2004) , 'THe Office US' (2005) and
'Scream: The TV Series' (2015) amongst many others. Watching such a wide range of
programmes allows me to draw inspiration and think of many ideas and potential
productions.
A massive part of my interest and passion has come from Harry Potter. It has as always
interested me from reading all the books to watching all the films, this has been increased
by the opening of the Warner Brothers Studio Tour which gave me a whole new vision to
the world that is Harry potter. It has also been increased by the release of 'Fantastic Beasts
and Where to Find Them' (2016). I will always continue to love the Harry Potter universe
and everything that comes with it.
Career Objective
2. I am looking to go into the media sector, particularly via the video production department.
In addition, I am also looking to further my career within the film industry as it has always
been a passion of mine. I also have a few ideas that I would potentially like to put together
and show to an audience to see how my people like my ideas.
Personal Interests
My personal interests include a wide variety of focuses, as I am an adaptable individual. My
main interests are watching a variety of television series and films, playing sports such as
tennis, water polo, competitive swimming, football and many more. I feel that playing
sports such as football is very good as it allows me to further develop my team working
skills. Another one of my interests is reading, I have read a wide range of books such as
‘SIlverfin’ from the young bond series, ‘Maze Runner’ and ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed
Child’ which is very interesting due to the fact that it is a script book of the West End
production.

Work Experience
David LLoyd Sports Centre - 2014
Role: Youth Staff
During my time at the sports centre I was helping with a variety of aspects. I developed my
interpersonal skills by working at reception and speaking to customers. I also learned a
4. variety of office skills such as a good telephone manner and organisational skills by working
different types of jobs around the office. Another skill that I massively developed was good
communication skills, this was improved whilst working I was working in kitchen at the
centre as I was constantly communicating with the other chefs about timings and tables
orders.
Sinclair House RJCC - 2014 - Current Day
Role: Senior Activity Staff
I work at Sinclar House three days a week doing a variety of jobs. I have to plan and run
many sessions a week which has massively improved my time management and planning
skills. It has also allowed me to be able to communicate with a variety of ages ranging from
4-11 year olds and their parents. It has also improved my confidence as my job requires me
to run sessions in front of 30 children at a time.
