Essay On Love Languages
Love Languages
Today, I will be explaining the five basic forms of love languages. They are: physical touch, act of service, words of affirmation, quality time, and
receiving gifts. They each represent different characteristics of love people use in a relationship. Some may be used more than others. This is
depending on the type of person you are as well as, the person you are in a relationship with. They have a survey that a person can take that explain
the type of loving person you are. This survey is useful for the reason that it gives a brief summary of how much a person uses the five different love
languages. Also, the survey is helpful so people know the types of loving languages they may use. They can use survey for a better...show more

People misunderstand this language but for some they being helped when they need it means more to them. Truly people find this language useful
for the reason that they feel the love as someone helps them. Additionally, the comfort they feel as someone they love is with them thru the
process of accomplishing the assignment. Act of service for some is that positive feeling that their loved one simply takes the initiative to help
you out. A statement, "When others serve you out of love (and not obligation), you feel truly valued and loved." Chapman's survey. They find the
help as a stress reliever and enjoy the quality time spend with their loved one doing something helpful. The Third type of love language is words of
affirmation. This language is basically counterarguing the saying "actions speak louder than words". In other words, for some people words actually
have value and meaning. People who Use this language enjoy hearing positive comments from their loved one. They also like to hear the actual
words I love you, every time. This is a sign that complements from a loved one makes them feel better when not feeling good or simply to have a
simile on their face. In addition, simple words or phrases said to them is all they need to be feeling highly about themselves. According to Gary
Chapman people with words of affirmation, "...thrive on hearing kind and encouraging words that build you up." Unfortunately, just as positive words

Love Essay : The True Meaning Of Love
My whole life, 15 years to be exact, my father has always taught me to love things that one does not typically love. Love was a strange topic to me
back when I was little, despite small knowledge on love. I have loved my parents and my brother when I was little, do not get me wrong, but I did not
exactly understand what the real meaning was. However, I did not realize how much love and kindness played a role in today's society as well as my
life. We have all loved before, whether it be your family members, friends, or significant other, and we have all searched for the comfortness of the
warm feeling one gets from love. A significant amount of others and I have probably wondered of the true meaning of love and what it means to
love and be loved especially with people we hold close to our hearts. I believe that the old, dirty, and dusty teddy bear that has been left behind in
the back of your room should be picked up and cleaned and taken cared for despite its appearance. To love and be loved is an essential part of
everyday living, and this is most apparent in circumstances where people do not love others based on their appearance and personality, but it also
helps to change almost all negative aspects in life, and it allows individuals to become happy in which creates a better environment to be in.
Albeit not all people will follow the idea of loving, it is still a great moral to follow in order to reach full happiness within your life, and maybe you
will be able to

Love : Love And Relationships Essay
Love and relationships
Love is a significant aspect in people's lives that requires commitment and attention. Despite the many assumptions on love, it is important to
understand that happiness in love comes from sharing not only the good but also the bad. In order to have a successful relationship, there is need to
understand that love requires sacrifices as well as endeavoring to cultivate love for mutual benefit. If true love existed in the world, there would be no
need for divorce.
Everyone who desires to have a family normally dreams to have a happy relationship that is founded on love. This love in turn breeds optimism and
fondness for each other which can be envious to many. Therefore, love is significant aspect in every human being that demands a lot of commitment
and attention. However, for any relationship to work, it requires more than just feelings of closeness and promises to live together with one another
with a commitment to ideals of a relationship. It is also good to note that in order to form a trusting and positive relationship that is characterized by
love takes effort and time. When the partners are able to differentiate facts from their feelings, they are able to see their partners in a more clear way
and not through filters of weaknesses they have against their partners.
On the other hand, there are many arguments that dispute the existence of love and only term the relationship between partners as based on mutual
interests. Many supporters of this

What is Love? Essay
Love, Love, Love. We all think about it, dream about it, sing about it, and even lose sleep worrying about it, but why? Love is such a small word
paired with a vital meaning. It's universal, easy to spell, difficult to define, but impossible to live without. When we don't have it, we search for it,
when we find it, we don't know what to do with it, when we have it, we fear losing it. Love is the constant source of happiness and sorrow. I am young
and I haven't a clue as to what love is, let alone what falling in love is. However, I have my ideas of what love is like. I have never witnessed the
beauty of people falling in love, or the severity of those falling out of love, so what is love?
Love in general could be frightening. Some...show more content...
I think falling in love with someone happens when you least expect it to, when you're too busy focusing on other aspects of your life. This is
where fate comes into play. That specific person was led to you for some unknown reason. Out of the blues, it's like your knight in shining amour
that you have longed to be with finally found his/her way to you. There are people in this world that think they may never fall in love again. You fall
at times, but you get back up. You will love again, and you will also trust again. You have to simply let things get themselves done, that's when you
know it's meant to be, because destiny took its course, and while you were too busy doing something else, the love of your life came along.
Love dates way back to when the world began. In reality, we really have no idea what love truly is. Raising questions like, is it even real? We watch
love movies, read romance novels, but that's the sugar–coated, sweet and simple version of it. Meeting someone, fall in love, get married, have kids,
spend the rest of your lives together. What about the suffering we have to endure when falling in love? Risking everything for that one person? And
even when we feel we've reached the end of the road, this person has the power to leave us at any given moment. We put ourselves out there with the
chance they can break us apart.
Love, as it is with everything,

Why Do You Love You Essay
All Of You
When you love someone, you have to love someone whole.
You can never love bits and parts of someone and say "I love you."
When you tell someone you love them, you are speaking to their whole being.
You are saying "I love YOU," which tells me that you can't fullylove a person in parts.
The highest form of love knows all of the deep roots of the person and loves them anyway, forgives them anyway, and accepts them as they are anyway.
Love is when nothing is hidden, when you accept the other's soul, fully, with no judgment.
That is the only way love can never die.

Well, how about we stop blaming and we do something about it. If anyone has the power, it starts with you and it starts with me. It starts with us.
Not tomorrow, but now. Right this second. So many of us crave love, but we do everything in our power to try to destroy it. We do everything in our
power to find everything, but love. We search for fulfillment in temporary things. Love is way deeper than the surface. It is much deeper than
something that comes and goes. I am not sure what it is, but I know what it is not. Love thrives in the foundation of its roots, and you cannot create it
if you don't search for its layers deep in the soil–way beyond what is seen. You are always, always searching for better and better and never content
with what you have because you don't pick what you have with your soul. If you would even entertain something that is not the best for your soul,
you are settling. That is why I don't believe in options. I wouldn't even know where to begin to try and divide my soul, giving parts of it to different
people. I would never be fulfilled. Love never left. We have left it. If you pay attention, you'll

Essay on Love
Much has been said about love, but if you search the horizon, you will discover that most of the things written about love are either pithy or cynical.
Society in general can be cruel and heartless toward real virtue of any kind. In the most popular venues, love is seldom dealt with with any degree of
sobriety. Modern humor mocks marriage, husbands and wives, then glorifies every conceivable breech of virtue, such as sexual immorality, profane and
obscene values.
Real love is a mystery to most people. Most people never realize the true potential or value of love, nor do they learn to practice the art of love. It is
usually very poorly defined. People think they are in love, but they can't explain it. There is a great deal of confusion...show more content...
Romance is different from love, even though ideally, they should occur together. Romance is the emotionalcomponent of love. Romance adds the
sparkle in your eyes. Romance adds the perfume and the colors. Romance embellishes the scenery and swells the music. Romance is the gilding of
love. Romance is gold leaf. It is ornamentation. Romance sometimes becomes a means unto itself. It even becomes a cheap substitute for love at
times. Some people seem to desire the trappings and embellishments of romance in place of genuine relationships. By comparison, romance is
superficial to love. Romance is skin deep. Love is heart deep. Romance requires things that love does not require. Romance requires gifs and surprises
and lavish attention. Romance sometimes demands things that contradict love. Romance is offended when the gold leaf wears off. Romance
condemns love that is not eye–pleasing. Romance often injures and denigrates true love because love doesn't always appeal to romance's selfishness.
Love is for givers, not getters. Those who demand to be loved before they will love shouldn't be surprised if no one gives them love. Lovers live in a
world of giving. The getters, the ones who are looking for love, is a different world. We have a duty to love, but we have no guarantees that we will be
loved. We have it in our power to love, but we have no power to force others to love us. It is folly to spend life demanding love from

Essay On Romantic Love
Love is an abundant emotion that has different degrees. There is familial love, friendly love, unconditional love, and of course romantic love.
Romantic love will be the superstar of this article. Romantic love may be around every corner whether between an old couple or a young teenage
romance. However, love is not the easiest thing to attain. It is such a simple concept, though a difficult thing to actually have a person's hands on.
Most people nowadays will yearn for something more commonly known as true love. True love can be explained in a sense that it is a person we
may or may not consider as a soul mate. It can be someone we love to a certain degree that we feel happy, complete, and contented.
The definition may be thrown out there in whatever way, but meeting eye to eye with said true love comes with certain complexity.
In other times, we may be thrown off. What we think could be considered love may not actually be love.
Though before knowing how to find love, one must know the basics when it comes to the act of loving in general.
PsychologyToday.com records research on love.
According to said research, vital things to a deep kind of love are physical attraction and a certain level of intimacy, which follow through with
companionship that you feel towards the other person.
The following can lead to difficulty because, in a sense, people of today are inclined towards an ideal view of romance. People are blinded by what they

Love And Romance Essay
How has our perception of love changed throughout the centuries? In today's media, our perception of romance has been distorted due to movies, tv
shows, and songs. While in the Middle Ages, literature and ballads were how most people learned about romantic love. "Stories told through the ages
to describe variations of love as it is found, challenged, lost, denied or thwarted, only to flare up again, carrying all before it, or else destroying the
lovers in a conflagration of desire ." Although, our culture is more open and accepting of relationships, in the Middle Ages, secrecy and adulterous
relationships were normal in order to have love and romance.
In Andreas Capellanus' "The Art of Courtly Love ," in a letter from the Countess Marie of Champagne, she states that it wasn't possible to
experience courtly love with your spouse. Yet, sexual contact typically had nothing to do with courtly love. Most of us consider sexual acts to be
something shared between lovers. But at medieval court, the term 'lover' referred to the person with whom someone danced, giggled, and held hands.
As long as the rules relating to chastity and fidelity were strictly adhered to, such as having heirs with your spouse or waiting to have intercourse until
marriage, you could go outside of the marriage to find romance and love . Why did love and marriage have nothing to do with each other? At the time,
noble marriages were often arranged in order to increase the status and wealth of each family. It

What Does The Word Love?
What does the word love mean? I have heard the word love since I was a child, but never really seemed to learn a definition, love meant something
different to everyone. I stopped by Hallmark store to pick out a happy mother's day card and found myself absorbing all the different types of cards on

love isn't written in just one form, but in many messages put together.

were together I had to look just right: every single hair slicked into its place, the smell of perfume, and myself looking like a new–crisped ten dollar

Essays in Love
Essays in Love is a novel about two young people, who meet on an airplane between London and Paris and rapidly fall in love. The structure of the
story isn't unusual, but what lends the book its interest is the extraordinary depth with which the emotions involved in the relationship are analysed.
Love comes under the philosophical microscope. An entire chapter is devoted to the nuances and subtexts of an initial date. Another chapter mulls over
the question of how and when to say 'I love you'. There's an essay on how uncomfortable it can be to disagree with a lover's taste in shoes and a
lengthy discussion about the role of guilt in love.

Love Poems
Have the love poems, you have read given you a better insight into the emotion of love?
The subject of 'Love Poetry' has given rise to some of the most beautiful and fascinating poetry. The poets illustrate their feelings, or the feelings of the
people concerned with them through the use of figurative language. Alove poem is not necessarily a poem about romantic love, about romance,
marriage and commitment; it could be something else entirely. It seems to be Universal. Timeless. Yet, it's also very individual, filtered by our own
lives and expectations. Love can be a different thing for each one of us. Not all love poems deal with happy positive sides of love but there is also the

'do not grieve' , she does not want her lover to feel that her love is possessive, she does not want him to feel guilty. She wants him to cherish good
times that they had, 'forget and smile'.
The tone throughout is melancholy and emotional as the poet talks about her approaching death. The sonnet form is suitably used because the poet is
telling her husband on how death will take over their love. She accepts death in a philosophical manner. Although she is physically dead she wants to
be remembered.
Christina Rossetti shows us how death can bring a blissful relationship to an end, but she also shows that love can exist even after death if it has
withstood the test of time. She repeats the title 'remember' throughout the poem as a technique to emphasize that she really wants to be remembered.
Poet Rossetti wants to be remembered by her love even if 'darkness and corruption leave'. Yet her love is unselfish.
Here a poem by Christina Rossetti's, 'A Birthday', is a contrast to
'Remember'. Throughout this poem Rossetti expresses happy contented feelings, through her beautiful use of imagery. Nature imagery is used in the
first half of the poem, ' heart is like a singing bird' ,

The title 'A Birthday' is not represented with love at all, but as we read the poem, we come to know that 'A Birthday' is new life, because she is in love.

When we talk about love, most people think that love is the high mood, the abundant feeling and the vigorous event. But, what is the true love?
Which kind of love is the one which we really need? Some people say that love is a feeling which is a natural expression when you meet the opposite

Love means the possibility of losing. When you feel that you are going to lose your love, you must grasp the things you have right now, because

Introduction
Love is a virtue. Especially in the context of romantic love. It is a mutual deep affection that instills both partners with the feeling of happiness, a sense
of safety, and unity. These feelings however, originate as neurotransmitters. Chemical substances traveling between synapses providing us the feeling
we know as – love. Similarly, the way we feel about love has just as much to do with understanding it's biological origins. Understanding its purpose,

a life of fulfillment if one acquires all the virtues throughout all the psychosocial stages in life. Virtues include hope, will, purpose, competency,
fidelity, love, care, and wisdom. Erikson proposes that we pose a major existential question to ourselves between this age range (18–40) and that
question is " Can I love?" As soon as this question is spawned, then a battle between intimacy and isolation begins. In other words, Erikson believes
that the reason why we engage in love–type behavior is to avoid the negative feelings associated with isolation. According to evolutionary psychologist
Richard Dawkin, he proposes that the psychology behind love lyes all in the evolutionary need to be in a group setting and to, frankly, propitiate the
human species (Dawkins et al., 2016). For Dawkins, the need to engage in love type behavior is similar to Erikson in the sense that we are avoiding
isolation, but Richard's hypothesis revolves more around the benefit of being in a group. The idea is the more isolated one is (in neanderthal ages)
more likely that person is to perish. Additionally, Dawkins suggests that love is an evolutionary hardwiring that helps us propitiate the human species.
Lastly, according to psychologist Sandra Langelslag, we engage in

Love And Love: The Elements Of Love
The experience of love is very rare because this is not just a feeling rather than this connects two souls. Whenever we ask, "what is love?" It simply
addresses the meaning to the question, which we wonder "Am I loved?" Or we ask "Do I love?" When we are loved, we tend to feel it intuitively in
our guts. But he does it work? Is there an extrasensory perception in the heart that is able to read the feelings in another person's heart, In fact? , it is
really not that ethereal or supernatural. On the contrary, it's pretty practical and down–to–earth .Our heart takes cues from our senses. Everything we

Love
Love is difficult to define, difficult to measure, and difficult to understand. Love is what great writers write about, great singers sing about, and great
philosophers ponder. Love is a powerful emotion, for which there is no wrong definition, for it suits each and every person differently. Whether love is
between family, friends, or lovers, it is an overwhelming emotion that can be experienced in many different ways.

one female, these friendships will develop into love. In no way is it a romantic love, but this type of love connects and bonds friends. Friends may
move away or friendships may wane, but the love between the two people burns on forever.
Romantic love is a love that not every person will experience. It is a type of love that is not there at the beginning, but grows within the individual.
When one finally finds the love they have been looking for, one can not imagine life with anybody else. Romantic love is a connection between two
souls that is captured with a feeling that is not only felt within the heart but within their body as well. I have never been in love with a girl; I can

To simply write a definition of love is complicated because every person has a different perception of love. The only way to capture the true meaning

Hani cried into him. This was not to be a love story, or one with a happy ending at all was it? There was never to be a finality. This would never end.
Never. Hani would live forever, just as Lee should have, but he had given his life to her... his very soul. He would die here in her arms, and she would
be alone. No hope. No love.
Six months ago–
Hani sighed. "It's funny... how I became a vet in hopes to save lives."
He just looked at her curiously. "you saved mine that night." He reminded her.
Hani started spacing out. Lost in thought. Then the flashback came. That night... the memory was vivid in her mind. She had been heading back to
her home in the heavy rain, when she saw him soaking wet, and bleeding out. The wound in his side was gleaming red in the dim light of dusk in the
rain. Though he had almost no strength left, he pleaded to her not to call an ambulance. His voice was strained. Any of the ragged breaths he took now
could be his last.
Shaking with the effort of dragging him along, she finally brought him to her vet. She lay his limp body to the floor. She was not licensed to treat
another human, but to protect life was the way she would eventually go. It all came down to this. Every moment was to be made use of. She dashed
into another room, and seconds later darted back out, with all of the necessary medical supplies. Dropping down to her knees by his side, she pulled
his shirt up a little to get a better look at his wound. It looked like he was stabbed

Definition Essay About Love
Love is difficult to define. The dictionary describes the emotion as an intense feeling of deep attraction, but what does that mean? The feeling is so
complex and unique it would take a million words to describe. To each person, love can be a different feeling, a different experience, a different idea.
Each person has felt love at least once in a lifetime; the love of something or someone, loving or being loved. The word "love" is extraordinarily
difficult to define because each person experiences it differently, but it must be experienced to be understood.Emotion is said to be energy in motion.
The emotion "love" is powerful; it drives people to act in profound and unexplainable ways. All reason can be lost, all logic defied, and what is left is
an overwhelming urge to do something drastic. Love can make people quit their job and fly halfway across the country or risk their life to run into a
burning building. Love's meaning runs deeper than the roots of a dictionary definition.

unconditional feeling and a feeling of absolute bliss. The five qualities that I believe are the most important in love include dependability, honesty,
selflessness, loyalty, and empathy. Most everyone needs someone that willlove them unconditionally to help guide them when they are at a low and
support them when they are at their high; for me, that person is my best friend and boyfriend, Ean Isaiah Thomsen. Before my sophomore year of
high school, Ean Thomsen was not necessarily a person that I was fond of. When we were in our freshmen year, Ean was an immature, obnoxious
person, always trying to get attention. On August 29, 2015, I remember feeling my phone buzz in my denim shorts pocket and receiving a text
message from Ean Thomsen saying, "Happy Birthday Kena!" From there, we started having random conversations over text and throughout the
school days, making me realize that he had matured exponentially over the summer. We began to date on September 29, 2017, and I still remember
observing the surprised faces of people when the news had spread; we are currently still together. Ean Thomsen has light brown, silky hair that falls
perfectly on his forehead, not shaggy like a dog, but not extremely short either. His deep, dark chocolate brown eyes could easily mesmerize you and
he has eyelashes that any girl would envy to have.

Five Love Languages Explained

  • 1. Essay On Love Languages Love Languages Today, I will be explaining the five basic forms of love languages. They are: physical touch, act of service, words of affirmation, quality time, and receiving gifts. They each represent different characteristics of love people use in a relationship. Some may be used more than others. This is depending on the type of person you are as well as, the person you are in a relationship with. They have a survey that a person can take that explain the type of loving person you are. This survey is useful for the reason that it gives a brief summary of how much a person uses the five different love languages. Also, the survey is helpful so people know the types of loving languages they may use. They can use survey for a better...show more content... People misunderstand this language but for some they being helped when they need it means more to them. Truly people find this language useful for the reason that they feel the love as someone helps them. Additionally, the comfort they feel as someone they love is with them thru the process of accomplishing the assignment. Act of service for some is that positive feeling that their loved one simply takes the initiative to help you out. A statement, "When others serve you out of love (and not obligation), you feel truly valued and loved." Chapman's survey. They find the help as a stress reliever and enjoy the quality time spend with their loved one doing something helpful. The Third type of love language is words of affirmation. This language is basically counterarguing the saying "actions speak louder than words". In other words, for some people words actually have value and meaning. People who Use this language enjoy hearing positive comments from their loved one. They also like to hear the actual words I love you, every time. This is a sign that complements from a loved one makes them feel better when not feeling good or simply to have a simile on their face. In addition, simple words or phrases said to them is all they need to be feeling highly about themselves. According to Gary Chapman people with words of affirmation, "...thrive on hearing kind and encouraging words that build you up." • 2. Love Essay : The True Meaning Of Love My whole life, 15 years to be exact, my father has always taught me to love things that one does not typically love. Love was a strange topic to me back when I was little, despite small knowledge on love. I have loved my parents and my brother when I was little, do not get me wrong, but I did not exactly understand what the real meaning was. However, I did not realize how much love and kindness played a role in today's society as well as my life. We have all loved before, whether it be your family members, friends, or significant other, and we have all searched for the comfortness of the warm feeling one gets from love. A significant amount of others and I have probably wondered of the true meaning of love and what it means to love and be loved especially with people we hold close to our hearts. I believe that the old, dirty, and dusty teddy bear that has been left behind in the back of your room should be picked up and cleaned and taken cared for despite its appearance. To love and be loved is an essential part of everyday living, and this is most apparent in circumstances where people do not love others based on their appearance and personality, but it also helps to change almost all negative aspects in life, and it allows individuals to become happy in which creates a better environment to be in. Albeit not all people will follow the idea of loving, it is still a great moral to follow in order to reach full happiness within your life, and maybe you will be able to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Love : Love And Relationships Essay Love and relationships Love is a significant aspect in people's lives that requires commitment and attention. Despite the many assumptions on love, it is important to understand that happiness in love comes from sharing not only the good but also the bad. In order to have a successful relationship, there is need to understand that love requires sacrifices as well as endeavoring to cultivate love for mutual benefit. If true love existed in the world, there would be no need for divorce. Everyone who desires to have a family normally dreams to have a happy relationship that is founded on love. This love in turn breeds optimism and fondness for each other which can be envious to many. Therefore, love is significant aspect in every human being that demands a lot of commitment and attention. However, for any relationship to work, it requires more than just feelings of closeness and promises to live together with one another with a commitment to ideals of a relationship. It is also good to note that in order to form a trusting and positive relationship that is characterized by love takes effort and time. When the partners are able to differentiate facts from their feelings, they are able to see their partners in a more clear way and not through filters of weaknesses they have against their partners. On the other hand, there are many arguments that dispute the existence of love and only term the relationship between partners as based on mutual interests. Many supporters of this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. What is Love? Essay Love, Love, Love. We all think about it, dream about it, sing about it, and even lose sleep worrying about it, but why? Love is such a small word paired with a vital meaning. It's universal, easy to spell, difficult to define, but impossible to live without. When we don't have it, we search for it, when we find it, we don't know what to do with it, when we have it, we fear losing it. Love is the constant source of happiness and sorrow. I am young and I haven't a clue as to what love is, let alone what falling in love is. However, I have my ideas of what love is like. I have never witnessed the beauty of people falling in love, or the severity of those falling out of love, so what is love? Love in general could be frightening. Some...show more content... I think falling in love with someone happens when you least expect it to, when you're too busy focusing on other aspects of your life. This is where fate comes into play. That specific person was led to you for some unknown reason. Out of the blues, it's like your knight in shining amour that you have longed to be with finally found his/her way to you. There are people in this world that think they may never fall in love again. You fall at times, but you get back up. You will love again, and you will also trust again. You have to simply let things get themselves done, that's when you know it's meant to be, because destiny took its course, and while you were too busy doing something else, the love of your life came along. Love dates way back to when the world began. In reality, we really have no idea what love truly is. Raising questions like, is it even real? We watch love movies, read romance novels, but that's the sugar–coated, sweet and simple version of it. Meeting someone, fall in love, get married, have kids, spend the rest of your lives together. What about the suffering we have to endure when falling in love? Risking everything for that one person? And even when we feel we've reached the end of the road, this person has the power to leave us at any given moment. We put ourselves out there with the chance they can break us apart. Love, as it is with everything, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Why Do You Love You Essay All Of You When you love someone, you have to love someone whole. You can never love bits and parts of someone and say "I love you." When you tell someone you love them, you are speaking to their whole being. Reflections To be able to feel the ordinary, in the most powerful ways, is moving. You can create jewels in simple things, if you have certain eyes. You can find love in...show more content... Well, how about we stop blaming and we do something about it. If anyone has the power, it starts with you and it starts with me. It starts with us. Not tomorrow, but now. Right this second. So many of us crave love, but we do everything in our power to try to destroy it. We do everything in our power to find everything, but love. We search for fulfillment in temporary things. Love is way deeper than the surface. It is much deeper than something that comes and goes. I am not sure what it is, but I know what it is not. Love thrives in the foundation of its roots, and you cannot create it if you don't search for its layers deep in the soil–way beyond what is seen. • 7. Essay on Love Much has been said about love, but if you search the horizon, you will discover that most of the things written about love are either pithy or cynical. Society in general can be cruel and heartless toward real virtue of any kind. In the most popular venues, love is seldom dealt with with any degree of sobriety. Modern humor mocks marriage, husbands and wives, then glorifies every conceivable breech of virtue, such as sexual immorality, profane and obscene values. Real love is a mystery to most people. Most people never realize the true potential or value of love, nor do they learn to practice the art of love. It is usually very poorly defined. People think they are in love, but they can't explain it. There is a great deal of confusion...show more content... Romance is different from love, even though ideally, they should occur together. Romance is the emotionalcomponent of love. Romance adds the sparkle in your eyes. Romance adds the perfume and the colors. Romance embellishes the scenery and swells the music. Romance is the gilding of love. Romance is gold leaf. It is ornamentation. Romance sometimes becomes a means unto itself. It even becomes a cheap substitute for love at times. Some people seem to desire the trappings and embellishments of romance in place of genuine relationships. By comparison, romance is superficial to love. Romance is skin deep. Love is heart deep. Romance requires things that love does not require. Romance requires gifs and surprises and lavish attention. Romance sometimes demands things that contradict love. Romance is offended when the gold leaf wears off. Romance condemns love that is not eye–pleasing. Romance often injures and denigrates true love because love doesn't always appeal to romance's selfishness. Love is for givers, not getters. Those who demand to be loved before they will love shouldn't be surprised if no one gives them love. Lovers live in a world of giving. The getters, the ones who are looking for love, is a different world. We have a duty to love, but we have no guarantees that we will be loved. We have it in our power to love, but we have no power to force others to love us. It is folly to spend life demanding love from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Essay On Romantic Love Love is an abundant emotion that has different degrees. There is familial love, friendly love, unconditional love, and of course romantic love. Romantic love will be the superstar of this article. Romantic love may be around every corner whether between an old couple or a young teenage romance. However, love is not the easiest thing to attain. It is such a simple concept, though a difficult thing to actually have a person's hands on. Most people nowadays will yearn for something more commonly known as true love. True love can be explained in a sense that it is a person we may or may not consider as a soul mate. According to said research, vital things to a deep kind of love are physical attraction and a certain level of intimacy, which follow through with companionship that you feel towards the other person. The following can lead to difficulty because, in a sense, people of today are inclined towards an ideal view of romance. People are blinded by what they see in the media and relate whatever Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Love And Romance Essay How has our perception of love changed throughout the centuries? In today's media, our perception of romance has been distorted due to movies, tv shows, and songs. While in the Middle Ages, literature and ballads were how most people learned about romantic love. "Stories told through the ages to describe variations of love as it is found, challenged, lost, denied or thwarted, only to flare up again, carrying all before it, or else destroying the lovers in a conflagration of desire ." Although, our culture is more open and accepting of relationships, in the Middle Ages, secrecy and adulterous relationships were normal in order to have love and romance. In Andreas Capellanus' "The Art of Courtly Love ," in a letter from the Countess Marie of Champagne, she states that it wasn't possible to experience courtly love with your spouse. Yet, sexual contact typically had nothing to do with courtly love. Most of us consider sexual acts to be something shared between lovers. But at medieval court, the term 'lover' referred to the person with whom someone danced, giggled, and held hands. As long as the rules relating to chastity and fidelity were strictly adhered to, such as having heirs with your spouse or waiting to have intercourse until marriage, you could go outside of the marriage to find romance and love . Why did love and marriage have nothing to do with each other? At the time, noble marriages were often arranged in order to increase the status and wealth of each family. I have heard the word love since I was a child, but never really seemed to learn a definition, love meant something different to everyone. I stopped by Hallmark store to pick out a happy mother's day card and found myself absorbing all the different types of cards on love. There were some for mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, friends, just about anyone I could think of. The content in these cards showed me that true love isn't written in just one form, but in many messages put together. When I was a little girl, my dad and mom always tucked me in at night and said, "Night Jess, I love you." These five little word made me feel secure and like I could conquer the world. When I was older and left the house just...show more content... One night a guy told me that he loved me; it sparked so much energy into me I could have ran twenty miles! My heart felt like it was going to explode as I scrambled for the words, and my knees began to weaken. All that spewed out of my mouth was gibberish, but I felt in love. Every time we were together I had to look just right: every single hair slicked into its place, the smell of perfume, and myself looking like a new–crisped ten dollar bill. But this relationship soon came to a halt as he dumped me like a ton of rocks and my heart crumpled to pieces. I came crying to my mom and dad as they tried to console me by explaining it was just a "puppy love". Puppy love is romantic love that is felt by a child or teenager and that is not considered by adults to be real love, according to Merriam–Webster (2014). Apparently it happens to everyone who thinks they found true love for the first time. I then made a dramatic decision that if love LOVE 3 hurt so badly I wanted nothing to do with it anymore, and later found that I was going to fall for another boy and use that same term, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

'do not grieve' , she does not want her lover to feel that her love is possessive, she does not want him to feel guilty. She wants him to cherish good times that they had, 'forget and smile'. The tone throughout is melancholy and emotional as the poet talks about her approaching death. The sonnet form is suitably used because the poet is telling her husband on how death will take over their love. She accepts death in a philosophical manner. Although she is physically dead she wants to be remembered. Christina Rossetti shows us how death can bring a blissful relationship to an end, but she also shows that love can exist even after death if it has withstood the test of time. She repeats the title 'remember' throughout the poem as a technique to emphasize that she really wants to be remembered. Poet Rossetti wants to be remembered by her love even if 'darkness and corruption leave'. Yet her love is unselfish. Here a poem by Christina Rossetti's, 'A Birthday', is a contrast to 'Remember'. Throughout this poem Rossetti expresses happy contented feelings, through her beautiful use of imagery. Nature imagery is used in the first half of the poem, ' heart is like a singing bird' , 'heart is like a rainb The title 'A Birthday' is not represented with love at all, but as we read the poem, we come to know that 'A Birthday' is new life, because she is in love.

These feelings however, originate as neurotransmitters. Chemical substances traveling between synapses providing us the feeling we know as – love. This phase lasts between the ages of 18 up to 40, the longest range out of any stage. According to Erikson, one can live a life of fulfillment if one acquires all the virtues throughout all the psychosocial stages in life. Virtues include hope, will, purpose, competency, fidelity, love, care, and wisdom. Erikson proposes that we pose a major existential question to ourselves between this age range (18–40) and that question is " Can I love?" As soon as this question is spawned, then a battle between intimacy and isolation begins. In other words, Erikson believes that the reason why we engage in love–type behavior is to avoid the negative feelings associated with isolation. According to evolutionary psychologist Richard Dawkin, he proposes that the psychology behind love lyes all in the evolutionary need to be in a group setting and to, frankly, propitiate the human species (Dawkins et al., 2016). For Dawkins, the need to engage in love type behavior is similar to Erikson in the sense that we are avoiding isolation, but Richard's hypothesis revolves more around the benefit of being in a group. The idea is the more isolated one is (in neanderthal ages) more likely that person is to perish. Additionally, Dawkins suggests that love is an evolutionary hardwiring that helps us propitiate the human species. Lastly, according to psychologist Sandra Langelslag, we engage in

Hani would live forever, just as Lee should have, but he had given his life to her... his very soul. He would die here in her arms, and she would be alone. No hope. No love. Six months ago– Hani sighed. "It's funny... how I became a vet in hopes to save lives." He just looked at her curiously. "you saved mine that night." He reminded her. Hani started spacing out. Lost in thought. Then the flashback came. That night... the memory was vivid in her mind. She had been heading back to her home in the heavy rain, when she saw him soaking wet, and bleeding out. The wound in his side was gleaming red in the dim light of dusk in the rain. Though he had almost no strength left, he pleaded to her not to call an ambulance. His voice was strained. Any of the ragged breaths he took now could be his last. Shaking with the effort of dragging him along, she finally brought him to her vet. She lay his limp body to the floor. She was not licensed to treat another human, but to protect life was the way she would eventually go. It all came down to this. Every moment was to be made use of. • 21. Definition Essay About Love Love is difficult to define. The dictionary describes the emotion as an intense feeling of deep attraction, but what does that mean? The feeling is so complex and unique it would take a million words to describe. To each person, love can be a different feeling, a different experience, a different idea. Each person has felt love at least once in a lifetime; the love of something or someone, loving or being loved. The word "love" is extraordinarily difficult to define because each person experiences it differently, but it must be experienced to be understood.Emotion is said to be energy in motion. The emotion "love" is powerful; it drives people to act in profound and unexplainable ways. All reason can be lost, all logic defied, and what is left is an overwhelming urge to do something drastic. Love can make people quit their job and fly halfway across the country or risk their life to run into a burning building. Love's meaning runs deeper than the roots of a dictionary definition. • 22. Descriptive Essay About Love The Merriam–Webster dictionary defines the word love as, "a feeling of strong or constant affection for someone." I personally define love as an unconditional feeling and a feeling of absolute bliss. The five qualities that I believe are the most important in love include dependability, honesty, selflessness, loyalty, and empathy. Most everyone needs someone that willlove them unconditionally to help guide them when they are at a low and support them when they are at their high; for me, that person is my best friend and boyfriend, Ean Isaiah Thomsen. Before my sophomore year of high school, Ean Thomsen was not necessarily a person that I was fond of. When we were in our freshmen year, Ean was an immature, obnoxious person, always trying to get attention. On August 29, 2015, I remember feeling my phone buzz in my denim shorts pocket and receiving a text message from Ean Thomsen saying, "Happy Birthday Kena!" From there, we started having random conversations over text and throughout the school days, making me realize that he had matured exponentially over the summer. We began to date on September 29, 2017, and I still remember observing the surprised faces of people when the news had spread; we are currently still together. Ean Thomsen has light brown, silky hair that falls perfectly on his forehead, not shaggy like a dog, but not extremely short either. His deep, dark chocolate brown eyes could easily mesmerize you and he has eyelashes that any girl would envy to have. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
