Examples Of Unforgettable Memories
1. Write about your best memories.
I have lots of unforgettable memories in my life. Most of them are related to my friends and families. So today I want to share two stories about it.
My grandma lived in the country twelve years ago. At that time, I often went to visit my grand parents with my parents during the holidays.
Although I was very young then, now I can still remember a lot of things there clearly. I was very glad when we went to the country. I enjoyed
seeing the beautiful things in the countryside. My grandpa grew many kinds of vegetables in his garden, such as cabbages, tomatoes, potatoes and
carrots. Every morning, he fetched water from arriver, and then watered the vegetables. Grandpa took good care of his vegetables as if they were his
children. When autumn came, the garden was covered with greenery. Grandpa was always sappy to see that. My grandma kept many chicken. They
were all very lively. I liked playing with them; sometimes I had dinner with them playing around. I always thought they loved me. I am so missed the
time that I spent with my grandparents, even my grandma past away...show more content...

Childhood Memories Essay
When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that
we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small gray
minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney World, the beach, and the mountains.
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I
was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near thetheme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a
long time, because I...show more content...
Going to the beach was nothing like going to the lake or swimming pool. The ocean had large waves that would come crashing into the beach. I
was so small that the waves would just throw me around. I also got to walk down the beach and find different objects that the waves had washed
up on shore. I found seashells that had brilliant colors like the rainbow. I even found a creature that looked like pink jelly. I picked the creature up
with a stick and took it to show my dad. My dad told me that it was a jellyfish that could sting me, so he made me bury it in the sand. I saw another
creature that was gliding in shallow water. It was dark brown with a long tail and looked like it had wings. It was a horrible looking creature that I
had never seen before. My dad came down to the water to see what I was looking at. He told me that they were called skates, and they would not
hurt me. That was the first time I saw something living in the ocean besides a fish. My dad then showed me that there were little creatures called,
sand fiddlers, which would wash up when the waves crashed into the shore. We sat down on the sand so he could show me how to catch them. The
sand fiddlers would dig down in the sand fast as lightning, so we had to dig for them fast as we could. When I caught one it felt like it was trying to
dig into your hand with what seemed like a million legs. After about four hours I was exhausted and starving. I

My First Memory- Personal Narrative Essay
My First Memory– Personal Narrative I've had many memories during my lifetime, many good, and some bad. My very first memory takes me back
to my very first house, a substantial s0mie– detached house situated in the heart of Hartford. I was probably about six years old and so was my sixth
Christmas. I have a vivid memory of waking up very early in the morning, staggering into my parents' bedroom and literally dragging them out of their
bed. I then progressed onto forcing them to follow me down the stairs, and as I reached the bottom, I just stood there, gazing at the extravagant...show

For the best part of ten minutes I practised trying to break my speed record but when I approached a tight corner, I had to slam on my breaks,
Unfortunately when I did this, I managed to ride over a frozen over puddle and lost my grip of the handle bars. I went flying off the bike into a
near by neighbour's bush and the bike collided with an adjacent tree. With a sudden feeling of anxiety, I raced over to the bike only to realise that it
was still intact. I was so grateful! I got back onto the bike and was about to head back to my house when my heart suddenly plummeted. The
milometer was smashed, completely ruined, beyond repair, I was heartbroken. Like I said earlier, the memories of my childhood aren't all tales of
heartbreak. For example one very fond memory of mine takes me back to my eighth birthday where I was beginning to get more mature and so
needed a 'big boys' present. It was the night of March 25th, and I couldn't control my excitement as I settled down into my immense double bed and
prepared to watch 'Lars the Polar Bear' which I had got as a stocking filler the previous Christmas. As you may know, March 25th was a Saturday and
that meant that a certain young boy had had a late night on Friday and had also spent the majority of the day terrorising 'Captain Coconuts'. This meant
that this certain young boy, namely me, was shattered to say

The Memories Of My Life Essay
Time Appreciation
Life is meant to be filled with memories. Every time that I close my eyes and I let my mind be free, my head starts to be full of different images,
people place, events; experiences that have left a mark in my life. Sometimes those memories are classified as happy , but other times happens that
those memories kill us slowly because they are filled with sadness. Despite making us sad, they have a great value to us. I do not usually like talking
about this part of my memories. People would start thinking that I am weak, because even if I do not want to, my eyes burst into tears when I
remember those memories.
I will share the two most bitter memories in my life with you. I do not want to show that I am weak, but those memories have helped me grow up and
understand the value of life, love and people who surround me. Unfortunately, I understood it only when I lost those people.
The first memory takes me back in time six or seven years before, I do not know. It was the twenty–first of September. I was in seventh grade and too
young to know the value of life and love that you gain from people around you. For almost one year, I and my brother had been living with my aunt
because her husband died and her children were not in Albania anymore. In the last months, she started to feel sick and every day her health was going
south. I remember that at the end of July I went back to my home because she went to the hospital. It had been the longest August of my life.

My Family Memories
As a young girl, I had what some people might call the "perfect" nuclear family. My parents, both very attractive individuals, had the two cutest
blonde–haired and blue–eyed kids in church every single Sunday. Each afternoon, my dad would come home from his 9:00 to 5:00 and greet my
stay–at–home mom with a kiss. We ate supper together every night at the dining room table; then, we would snuggle up on the couch before our
parents told us bedtime stories and tucked us in. However, as they say, nothing lasts forever, and nothing is perfect. Although this may seem like
an essay about one of those families you only see in movies, that is simply not the case. If my childhood were a movie though, it would not be the
kind you're thinking. As I got a little older and started attending the elementary school right down the street, I begin to lose memories of my mom.
No, she did not pass away, but I just don't remember her being around. I know that she put a ribbon into my curly hair every morning before school,
but I don't recall any other memories of her. Because my parents got married when my mom was fresh out of high school and my dad was in his late
twenties, my mom never went to school or got a degree, or even a job for that matter. However, she eventually decided that she wanted . . . more.
Therefore, she started going to college at night to get her teaching degree. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and wanting my mommy, as
most little girls do.

Descriptive Essay About Memories
Our lives are filled with many good memories, but only great ones are formed when we gain something from them. A great memory that I have is
when I went to my first concert in Richmond with my friend, Ciana, in March of 2017. This concert is one of my best memories because it taught me
how fun life can be no matter how wild it may become.
My friend and I aren't wild people, but we do like to randomly plan crazy things. Ciana randomly texted me one month before and asked if I wanted
to go see this band in March. I agreed to go see them with a why not attitude as usual. I wasn't dying to see the band live, but I did enjoy their music.
There was three other bands playing at that concert, but I wasn't familiar with any of them. Becoming...show more content...

The only part of the room that was really lit up, was the stage. It was bright and a variety of colors danced across the stage. Slowly, more people came
in and filled the crowd area in the room. Men walked back and forth on the stage as they slowly set up the stage and the band equipment. Time was
stretched as we waited for what seemed like eternity. Finally, the lights went out, and the first band came on stage.
The entire crowd is screaming and yelling as loud as they can. The lights come back on and the first band comes out. As we are enjoying the music
we're listening to, the singer asks the crowd to make a moshpit. Instantly, everybody is pushing to the perimeters of the crowd area in order to make a
clear space. The mosh pit was created right next to where my friend and I are standing. It was very rough to stand on the outer edge of the moshpit,
but thankfully, this tall guy was our savior as he blocked us from the tornado of bodies within the moshpit. We slowly pushed our way away from the
moshpit and towards the stage. At this point, my arm had already been bruised from the short ten minute contact with the moshpit. The first band

Memories In My Life
Vacations are a time where people tend to make memories. One vacation I have a lot of memories of is when I went to the lake with my friends
family. Over the summer, my friends Matt and Zack asked me if I wanted to go to Clark Hill Lake near Augusta with them. They are twins. We
have been friends for seven years, and every time we are together we always make memories. When they asked me, all I could think about was all
the memories we could make, so I said, "yes I would love to go". I had no idea of what memories were to come. The memories started when we
were on the way there. Matt drove up early with his mom to help set up the rv. Zack had to work that day, so I waited on him to get off of work to
ride with him. On the way up we stopped at a gas station to get some snacks. While we were in there some lady stopped us and started asking what
college we were from. We laughed and told her we were still in high school and only 16. She did not believe us. She called all of the people she
worked with over, and she asked them to guess how old we were. They started guessing 19 and 23 and we laughed. We showed them our driver's
license and they were shocked. We then went on our way to the lake. Finally, we arrived at the lake. We started walking up, and they instantly started
asking if we wanted a burger. We told them no because we wanted to go ahead out on the boat. We could not wait. We got on our bathing suits and ran
down to the boat. We forgot our life jackets

The Importance of Memory
The importance of memory
What will happen if all human lost their memory? What if we can't remember anything anymore? Can our society keep running? Can we live? The
answer is simple. We can't live without memory and the modern society will be destroyed. Here I'll explain to you one by one.
Memory plays a big role in our life. It is the processes by which information is encoded, stored, and retrieved. Everything we see, we do, we think,
will goes to memory and transform to implicit or explicit memory. Which will be saved in our brain. We could recall it anytime, even I'm using my
implicit memory to type this report. Simply, our daily life is formed by memory, without it, we're nothing. Why? If we don't have memory, we can't
learn....show more content...
But it's impossible that all human lost both his explicit and implicit memory, so the above parts is only a imagination. Let's move on and talk about
those people who have memory disorders such as Amnesia and Alzheimer's disease. Memory disorders hinders the storage, retention and recollection of
memories. That means their memory system are malfunctioned. The consequences could be very serious.
Assume that i have Alzheimer's disease, If i forget to lock my car, i i may lost it. If i forget to turn off my gas stove, it may cause explosion and I'll die.
As you can see, If we have memory disorders, we'll face many troubles in our life, some are even life–threatening.
Throw the with or without away, I'm now move on to next point. Which is how memory affect our personality and behaviour. Everyone got their
own special personality. Memory has a deep influence on our personality, especially the early memories like your childhood. The best way to learn
how early memories affect personality is to look at an example that analyzes someone 's early memories. Here is one early memories of a middle
aged man:"My little sister ate all the sweets in the box then when my mother asked her who did it she said that i am the one who ate them. I felt really
angry".
Its clear that this guy has developed the belief that women are evil and that was perfectly aligned with his unexplained fear of the opposite sex.
According to individual psychology all of the person 's

Memories of My Life I was raised in Oaxaca Mexico, in a little town of no more than 2,000 people. My little town was an isolated and calm place
where each day was an adventure with many new things and places to discover. My mornings were almost always cold with cold wind blowing
that made me shiver each time I would step outside. Also, there were not many toys to play with but my friends and I had something better than
toys, that was our imagination. The resources that nature gave us such as rocks, sticks, flowers and dirt and our imagination were more than
enough to have fun. Our parents let us play outside but warn us about the many dangers we could face such as all kinds of snakes, and scorpions.
Poverty have been always a huge issue, almost all families struggle with food and other resources necessary to live, it was something to worry
about every single day including my family. Unfortunately in my town, there has been always a lack of water resulting in poor harvest for all
people. But my dad never gave up, instead he would trade off his crops to harvest new ones that would not require much water. My parents besides
harvesting their own crops they also worked in agriculture receiving very low pay, there were moments in which they both get desperate thinking
about possible solutions to their problems but there were any. At that time, I was only 11 years old and realized that life was not easy. Living in a
small town would make it even harder for me if I wanted to

Childhood Memories And Its Effects On Our Lives
We each have memories, both from long ago and recent times, that we hold dear to us. Memories get us through the hard days and keep us chipper
in the good ones. The past is what makes us who we are. It shapes how we act, how we treat others, and simply just what we do on a day to day
basis. Memories are the little things that keep this world running smoothly. Imagine what it would be like to lose those memories. What if you were to
forget things to the point you were losing your functionality? Every 67 seconds another person in the US falls victim to this disease (www.alz.org).
They may remember childhood memories, but forgot where they put the cheese they bought yesterday. As the disease gets worse and worse, they may
wander and even forget people they care deeply about and those they interact with daily. Who are these people, and what is the "it" they are suffering
from? These are people suffering from Alzheimers Disease, affecting 5 million individuals in the United States alone. Alzheimers Disease is a type of
dementia, a more general term meaning a decline in someone's mental ability, to the point of affecting their everyday life. Alzheimers is actually the
most common form, afflicting about 80% of dementia patients. There are treatments and medications available to help patients with symptoms and
slow its progress through the brain, but science has not yet found a way to completely stop it, or even slow it significantly for many patients. As patients

Memory Essay
Memory is defined as "the persistence of learning over time through the storage and retrieval of information." Our memory can be compared to a
computer's information processing system. To remember an event we need to get information into our brain which is encoding, store the information
and then be able to retrieve it. The three–stage processing model of Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin suggests that we record information that we
want to remember first as a fleeting sensory memory and then it is processed into a short term memory bin where we encode it ( pay attention to encode
important or novel stimuli) for long–term memory and later retrieval. The premise for the three step process is that we are unable to focus on too much

The amount remembered depends on the time–spent learning. Even after we learn material/names, additional rehearsal increases retention. For novel
verbal information, practice– effortful processing– does indeed improve our memory. We also retain information better when our rehearsal is
distributed over a period of time, known as "spacing effect." People who have experienced "serial position effect" strengthen the benefits of rehearsal.
When shown a list of words/names and then immediately asked to recall the items in any order, they struggle to recall the list. They remember of the
first and last words/names better than those in the middle. This is probably due to the fact that the last names/ items are still in short–term memory;
people briefly recall them especially quickly and well. But after a delay, after they shift their attention from the last names/items their recall is best for
the first names/items. We must remember that our memory system processes information not just by repetitive rehearsal but also by encoding its
significant features.
Strategies and devices that help us remember information that requires effortful processing are: encoding its meaning, visualizing, and mentally

Essay False Memory
Memory is one of the most critical parts of cognition. It is important because it is involved in almost every aspect of cognition including problem
solving, decision making, attention, and perception. Because of this importance, people rely on one's memory to make important decisions. The value
of one's memory in this society is so high that it is used as evidence to either save one's life or kill one's life during murder trials. But as many of the
cognitive psychologists know, human's memory can cause many errors. One of these errors is false memory which is either remembering events that
never happened or remembering events differently from the actual event. This finding of false memory raised big interests among psychologists and

In each trial, the participants were presented with a sequence of words on the left side of the window. Each word was presented for one and a half
seconds. After all the words were presented, the response buttons were presented on the right side of window. These response buttons were labeled
with words from the sequence along with new distractor words that were not part of the sequence. The goal of the participants was to click on the
response buttons and identify all the words that were part of the sequence. The independent variable for this study was the types of words that were
presented on the test (response buttons). The dependent variable was the percentage of each types of items reported. This method is appropriate to
observe one's false memory since it is designed bias the participants to recall particular words that was not in the sequence that they were presented
with. These particular distractor words were sleep, needle, sweet, chair, mountain, and rough and they were presented one at a time. The sequence of

created false memories. The results of Roediger and McDermott's experiment were very significant. The participants recalled the critical distractor
words 40% of the time compared to 14% recall of the normal distractor words. When they

Memories Of My Life
My first memory was of my cousin and I playing on the balcony of our two–bedroom apartment in Silver Spring, Maryland. We were throwing a tennis
ball back and forth and when it was my turn to throw it to my cousin, I threw it a smidge too far. The tennis ball went behind a broken mirror table,
and my cousin insisted that he should go and retrieve it. So he did, and we continue to play without a clue that my cousin had actually been deeply
cut on his cheek by the broken glass. My aunt realized it as soon as we came indoors. It was a deep wound and the scar of it is still there today. This
event may seem irrelevant, but that was how my life was structured–– going on with life without realizing the pain. My parents have always been there
for me. Both came from low–income families in the West African countries of Senegal and Gambia. Both struggled to come to America in hopes of
a better life and the " American dream" for their future children. My dad arrived in America first with his closest friends that I only know as my
uncles. My mom arrived two years later and after two months of 'courting' with my dad, they got married. A year later, they had me. The three of us
lived with my dad's close school friend, his wife, and my brave cousin. The only memories that I have of the little apartment in Silver Spring are filled
with happiness and a huge 1st birthday party. My memories are only happy because I was blinded from the reality of the situation. My parents

College Essay About High School Memories
Memories are important because you can just think and your mind gets transported back to another time. Everyone has memories that matter so much
to them that they can remember the most minuscule details no matter how long ago it was to them. To me one of those memories is the day I
graduated high school. I could reflect about the big, fancy ceremony everyone generally thinks of. I also could think of everything I did that day and
exactly how I felt. It was 5:00, an hour before graduation and my house was filled with family who was there to see me. I came upstairs to leave and
my Grandma Jan was there and gave me a bear hug. She said, "My little Jiggy I can't believe how time flies." We talked about how I used to be so
little playing with monster trucks in the sandpit in her backyard and how it just seemed like yesterday. I remember going upstairs and thanking
each of my siblings for being there for me through everything. After that I went to my parent's room, gave them both a hug and told them how
grateful I am for them. Each time I thanked someone more tears came to my eyes and not because of sadness but because of happiness, relief, and
gratitude. I had to be at the school at 5:30 to get ready and it was ten minutes until then so I laced up my Jordan 1's and instantaneously burst out the
door. I pulled up to the school and parked in the same spot I did everyday ever since I got my license. It hit me how bizarre it was that this was the

What Is A Good Memories Essay
Good memories help us overcome the monotony of life. If you go out on a holiday, you not only you get recreation, restoration of energy but also
good memories. These memories help you when you feel low. Luxurious, trouble free live view of underwater sea creatures, eating one of the finest
Cayman food in a waterfront, swimming with turtles and visiting the places you want by renting a car in Grand Cayman can make your trip memorable

To have pleasant, lifelong memories you have to indulge in unique activities at a place as beautiful as theCayman Islands. What could more beautiful
thing than submarine dive in Cayman? Diving in special suits with all the gears is fun, but diving in a submarine in Cayman is special and unique. In
a submarine dive in Cayman, you can concentrate only on observing sea creatures. You can pay your hundred percent attentions on them, without
bothering about your swimming gear or swimming itself. The best part is you can do it with children as young as four years. They will carry these

My Memories Of My Childhood Memories Essay
My earliest childhood memory is of the first time I met my mother in person when I was four. A beautiful woman whose personality seemed to glow
from her. I had seen a picture of her before then I was told by Mummy Dada, my aunt, so I knew her on sight. The woman I saw walk in the room as
I watched from my grandfather's lap seemed effervescent. She floated from person to person at the family reunion like an angel. My mother is one of
thirteen children my grandpa has. My brother cousin wanted to play tag but my grandfather wanted me to stay put. Let me clarify, the term
"brother cousin" is to describe my cousin that I had thought was my brother because we were raised as brother and sister. I was conflicted as to
what I should do but eventually I choose to stay put for a little while. Within a few minutes I couldn't help myself, I hopped off grandpa's lap and
went to play tag. It was my favorite game to play, I just knew it was. When it was my turn to give chase I ran around in an unladylike manner trying
to catch one of my brother cousins. They were always too fast and out of reach. I didn't even attempt to catch any of my older cousins because I
thought that they would be too fast for me to catch. Besides, I was only used to playing with the boys. I ran so fast in my shiny white patent leather
shoes that I missed catching my twin brother cousin, Jerry. The term "twin brother cousin" refers to the "brother cousin" who had the same birthday as
I did. The smooth bottoms of my

Unforgettable Childhood Memories in 40 Characters

  • 1. Examples Of Unforgettable Memories 1. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful things in the countryside. My grandpa grew many kinds of vegetables in his garden, such as cabbages, tomatoes, potatoes and carrots. Every morning, he fetched water from arriver, and then watered the vegetables. Grandpa took good care of his vegetables as if they were his children. When autumn came, the garden was covered with greenery. Grandpa was always sappy to see that. My grandma kept many chicken. They were all very lively. I liked playing with them; sometimes I had dinner with them playing around. I always thought they loved me. I am so missed the time that I spent with my grandparents, even my grandma past away...show more content... In the earliest, Apple's dismissal of Steve Jobs has not been defeated. Jobs did not show any fragility and uneasiness. In the summer, I was tired of being physically and mentally. I am full of doubt and disappointment about my future. But the spirit of Steve Jobs deeply encouraged me. He did not give up life. But with the cash part of the stock in exchange for 10 million US dollars to invest in an animated studio Pixar, mastered 80% of the shares and become its ceo. Subsequently, the company produced a "Toy Story", "Cars", "flying house travel". In 2006, Steve Jobs sold Disney as the biggest shareholder of Disney for $ 7.4 billion. Those opportunities to Steve let him become the darling of life. Not every loser is always a loser, as long as the hearts of successful beliefs and efforts for the future will be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Childhood Memories Essay When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small gray minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney World, the beach, and the mountains. When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near thetheme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I...show more content... Going to the beach was nothing like going to the lake or swimming pool. The ocean had large waves that would come crashing into the beach. I was so small that the waves would just throw me around. I also got to walk down the beach and find different objects that the waves had washed up on shore. I found seashells that had brilliant colors like the rainbow. I even found a creature that looked like pink jelly. I picked the creature up with a stick and took it to show my dad. My dad told me that it was a jellyfish that could sting me, so he made me bury it in the sand. I saw another creature that was gliding in shallow water. It was dark brown with a long tail and looked like it had wings. It was a horrible looking creature that I had never seen before. My dad came down to the water to see what I was looking at. He told me that they were called skates, and they would not hurt me. That was the first time I saw something living in the ocean besides a fish. My dad then showed me that there were little creatures called, sand fiddlers, which would wash up when the waves crashed into the shore. We sat down on the sand so he could show me how to catch them. The sand fiddlers would dig down in the sand fast as lightning, so we had to dig for them fast as we could. When I caught one it felt like it was trying to dig into your hand with what seemed like a million legs. After about four hours I was exhausted and starving. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My First Memory- Personal Narrative Essay My First Memory– Personal Narrative I've had many memories during my lifetime, many good, and some bad. My very first memory takes me back to my very first house, a substantial s0mie– detached house situated in the heart of Hartford. I was probably about six years old and so was my sixth Christmas. I have a vivid memory of waking up very early in the morning, staggering into my parents' bedroom and literally dragging them out of their bed. I then progressed onto forcing them to follow me down the stairs, and as I reached the bottom, I just stood there, gazing at the extravagant...show more content... For the best part of ten minutes I practised trying to break my speed record but when I approached a tight corner, I had to slam on my breaks, Unfortunately when I did this, I managed to ride over a frozen over puddle and lost my grip of the handle bars. I went flying off the bike into a near by neighbour's bush and the bike collided with an adjacent tree. With a sudden feeling of anxiety, I raced over to the bike only to realise that it was still intact. I was so grateful! I got back onto the bike and was about to head back to my house when my heart suddenly plummeted. The milometer was smashed, completely ruined, beyond repair, I was heartbroken. Like I said earlier, the memories of my childhood aren't all tales of heartbreak. For example one very fond memory of mine takes me back to my eighth birthday where I was beginning to get more mature and so needed a 'big boys' present. It was the night of March 25th, and I couldn't control my excitement as I settled down into my immense double bed and prepared to watch 'Lars the Polar Bear' which I had got as a stocking filler the previous Christmas. As you may know, March 25th was a Saturday and that meant that a certain young boy had had a late night on Friday and had also spent the majority of the day terrorising 'Captain Coconuts'. This meant that this certain young boy, namely me, was shattered to say Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. The Memories Of My Life Essay Time Appreciation Life is meant to be filled with memories. Every time that I close my eyes and I let my mind be free, my head starts to be full of different images, people place, events; experiences that have left a mark in my life. Sometimes those memories are classified as happy , but other times happens that those memories kill us slowly because they are filled with sadness. Despite making us sad, they have a great value to us. I do not usually like talking about this part of my memories. People would start thinking that I am weak, because even if I do not want to, my eyes burst into tears when I remember those memories. I will share the two most bitter memories in my life with you. I do not want to show that I am weak, but those memories have helped me grow up and understand the value of life, love and people who surround me. Unfortunately, I understood it only when I lost those people. The first memory takes me back in time six or seven years before, I do not know. It was the twenty–first of September. I was in seventh grade and too young to know the value of life and love that you gain from people around you. For almost one year, I and my brother had been living with my aunt because her husband died and her children were not in Albania anymore. In the last months, she started to feel sick and every day her health was going south. I remember that at the end of July I went back to my home because she went to the hospital. It had been the longest August of my life. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Family Memories As a young girl, I had what some people might call the "perfect" nuclear family. My parents, both very attractive individuals, had the two cutest blonde–haired and blue–eyed kids in church every single Sunday. Each afternoon, my dad would come home from his 9:00 to 5:00 and greet my stay–at–home mom with a kiss. We ate supper together every night at the dining room table; then, we would snuggle up on the couch before our parents told us bedtime stories and tucked us in. However, as they say, nothing lasts forever, and nothing is perfect. Although this may seem like an essay about one of those families you only see in movies, that is simply not the case. If my childhood were a movie though, it would not be the kind you're thinking. As I got a little older and started attending the elementary school right down the street, I begin to lose memories of my mom. No, she did not pass away, but I just don't remember her being around. I know that she put a ribbon into my curly hair every morning before school, but I don't recall any other memories of her. Because my parents got married when my mom was fresh out of high school and my dad was in his late twenties, my mom never went to school or got a degree, or even a job for that matter. However, she eventually decided that she wanted . . . more. Therefore, she started going to college at night to get her teaching degree. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and wanting my mommy, as most little girls do. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Descriptive Essay About Memories Our lives are filled with many good memories, but only great ones are formed when we gain something from them. A great memory that I have is when I went to my first concert in Richmond with my friend, Ciana, in March of 2017. This concert is one of my best memories because it taught me how fun life can be no matter how wild it may become. My friend and I aren't wild people, but we do like to randomly plan crazy things. Ciana randomly texted me one month before and asked if I wanted to go see this band in March. I agreed to go see them with a why not attitude as usual. I wasn't dying to see the band live, but I did enjoy their music. There was three other bands playing at that concert, but I wasn't familiar with any of them. Becoming...show more content... To our left, there were stands where you could buy shirts. Since they weren't busy, we decided to give the tall vender forty bucks for two of the band's tour t–shirts. It was a quick interaction, so we still had plenty of time left. We figured we would just go ahead and wait in the medium sized crowd. The only part of the room that was really lit up, was the stage. It was bright and a variety of colors danced across the stage. Slowly, more people came in and filled the crowd area in the room. Men walked back and forth on the stage as they slowly set up the stage and the band equipment. Time was stretched as we waited for what seemed like eternity. Finally, the lights went out, and the first band came on stage. The entire crowd is screaming and yelling as loud as they can. The lights come back on and the first band comes out. As we are enjoying the music we're listening to, the singer asks the crowd to make a moshpit. Instantly, everybody is pushing to the perimeters of the crowd area in order to make a clear space. The mosh pit was created right next to where my friend and I are standing. It was very rough to stand on the outer edge of the moshpit, but thankfully, this tall guy was our savior as he blocked us from the tornado of bodies within the moshpit. We slowly pushed our way away from the moshpit and towards the stage. At this point, my arm had already been bruised from the short ten minute contact with the moshpit. The first band finished and the crowd settled Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Memories In My Life Vacations are a time where people tend to make memories. One vacation I have a lot of memories of is when I went to the lake with my friends family. Over the summer, my friends Matt and Zack asked me if I wanted to go to Clark Hill Lake near Augusta with them. They are twins. We have been friends for seven years, and every time we are together we always make memories. When they asked me, all I could think about was all the memories we could make, so I said, "yes I would love to go". I had no idea of what memories were to come. The memories started when we were on the way there. Matt drove up early with his mom to help set up the rv. Zack had to work that day, so I waited on him to get off of work to ride with him. On the way up we stopped at a gas station to get some snacks. While we were in there some lady stopped us and started asking what college we were from. We laughed and told her we were still in high school and only 16. She did not believe us. She called all of the people she worked with over, and she asked them to guess how old we were. They started guessing 19 and 23 and we laughed. We showed them our driver's license and they were shocked. We then went on our way to the lake. Finally, we arrived at the lake. We started walking up, and they instantly started asking if we wanted a burger. We told them no because we wanted to go ahead out on the boat. We could not wait. We got on our bathing suits and ran down to the boat. We forgot our life jackets Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It was a quick interaction, so we still had plenty of time left. We figured we would go ahead and wait in the medium sized crowd. The only part of the room that was well lit, was the stage. As we patiently waited, the variety of bright colors danced across the stage. Slowly, more people came in and filled the crowd area in the room. The stage and band equipment was set up by these men who paced across the stage. As we waited for what seemed like eternity, time slowly stretched like finely rolled out dough. Finally, the lights went out, and the first band came on stage. The entire crowd screamed as loud as they can. The lights came back on and the first band comes out. As we are enjoying the music we're listening to, the singer asks the crowd to make a moshpit. Instantly, everybody is pushing to the perimeters of the crowd area in order to make a clear space. Forming right next to where my friend and I are standing, the mosh pit errupted. It was very rough to stand on the outer edge of the moshpit, but thankfully, this tall guy was our savior as he blocked us from the tornado of bodies within the moshpit. Slowly, we pushed ourselves away from the moshpit and towards the stage. At this point, my arm had already formed a bruise from the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. The Importance of Memory The importance of memory What will happen if all human lost their memory? What if we can't remember anything anymore? Can our society keep running? Can we live? The answer is simple. We can't live without memory and the modern society will be destroyed. Here I'll explain to you one by one. Memory plays a big role in our life. It is the processes by which information is encoded, stored, and retrieved. Everything we see, we do, we think, will goes to memory and transform to implicit or explicit memory. Which will be saved in our brain. We could recall it anytime, even I'm using my implicit memory to type this report. Simply, our daily life is formed by memory, without it, we're nothing. Why? If we don't have memory, we can't learn....show more content... But it's impossible that all human lost both his explicit and implicit memory, so the above parts is only a imagination. Let's move on and talk about those people who have memory disorders such as Amnesia and Alzheimer's disease. Memory disorders hinders the storage, retention and recollection of memories. That means their memory system are malfunctioned. The consequences could be very serious. Assume that i have Alzheimer's disease, If i forget to lock my car, i i may lost it. • 11. Memories Of My Life : Memories Memories of My Life I was raised in Oaxaca Mexico, in a little town of no more than 2,000 people. My little town was an isolated and calm place where each day was an adventure with many new things and places to discover. My mornings were almost always cold with cold wind blowing that made me shiver each time I would step outside. Also, there were not many toys to play with but my friends and I had something better than toys, that was our imagination. The resources that nature gave us such as rocks, sticks, flowers and dirt and our imagination were more than enough to have fun. Our parents let us play outside but warn us about the many dangers we could face such as all kinds of snakes, and scorpions. Poverty have been always a huge issue, almost all families struggle with food and other resources necessary to live, it was something to worry about every single day including my family. Unfortunately in my town, there has been always a lack of water resulting in poor harvest for all people. But my dad never gave up, instead he would trade off his crops to harvest new ones that would not require much water. My parents besides harvesting their own crops they also worked in agriculture receiving very low pay, there were moments in which they both get desperate thinking about possible solutions to their problems but there were any. At that time, I was only 11 years old and realized that life was not easy. Living in a small town would make it even harder for me if I wanted to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Childhood Memories And Its Effects On Our Lives We each have memories, both from long ago and recent times, that we hold dear to us. Memories get us through the hard days and keep us chipper in the good ones. The past is what makes us who we are. It shapes how we act, how we treat others, and simply just what we do on a day to day basis. Memories are the little things that keep this world running smoothly. Imagine what it would be like to lose those memories. What if you were to forget things to the point you were losing your functionality? Every 67 seconds another person in the US falls victim to this disease (www.alz.org). They may remember childhood memories, but forgot where they put the cheese they bought yesterday. As the disease gets worse and worse, they may wander and even forget people they care deeply about and those they interact with daily. Who are these people, and what is the "it" they are suffering from? These are people suffering from Alzheimers Disease, affecting 5 million individuals in the United States alone. Alzheimers Disease is a type of dementia, a more general term meaning a decline in someone's mental ability, to the point of affecting their everyday life. Alzheimers is actually the most common form, afflicting about 80% of dementia patients. There are treatments and medications available to help patients with symptoms and slow its progress through the brain, but science has not yet found a way to completely stop it, or even slow it significantly for many patients. • 13. Memory Essay Memory is defined as "the persistence of learning over time through the storage and retrieval of information." Our memory can be compared to a computer's information processing system. To remember an event we need to get information into our brain which is encoding, store the information and then be able to retrieve it. The three–stage processing model of Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin suggests that we record information that we want to remember first as a fleeting sensory memory and then it is processed into a short term memory bin where we encode it ( pay attention to encode important or novel stimuli) for long–term memory and later retrieval. The premise for the three step process is that we are unable to focus on too much ...show more content... The amount remembered depends on the time–spent learning. Even after we learn material/names, additional rehearsal increases retention. For novel verbal information, practice– effortful processing– does indeed improve our memory. We also retain information better when our rehearsal is distributed over a period of time, known as "spacing effect." People who have experienced "serial position effect" strengthen the benefits of rehearsal. When shown a list of words/names and then immediately asked to recall the items in any order, they struggle to recall the list. They remember of the first and last words/names better than those in the middle. This is probably due to the fact that the last names/ items are still in short–term memory; people briefly recall them especially quickly and well. But after a delay, after they shift their attention from the last names/items their recall is best for the first names/items. We must remember that our memory system processes information not just by repetitive rehearsal but also by encoding its significant features. Strategies and devices that help us remember information that requires effortful processing are: encoding its meaning, visualizing, and mentally organizing the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Essay False Memory Memory is one of the most critical parts of cognition. It is important because it is involved in almost every aspect of cognition including problem solving, decision making, attention, and perception. Because of this importance, people rely on one's memory to make important decisions. The value of one's memory in this society is so high that it is used as evidence to either save one's life or kill one's life during murder trials. But as many of the cognitive psychologists know, human's memory can cause many errors. One of these errors is false memory which is either remembering events that never happened or remembering events differently from the actual event. This finding of false memory raised big interests among psychologists and ...show more content... In each trial, the participants were presented with a sequence of words on the left side of the window. Each word was presented for one and a half seconds. After all the words were presented, the response buttons were presented on the right side of window. These response buttons were labeled with words from the sequence along with new distractor words that were not part of the sequence. The goal of the participants was to click on the response buttons and identify all the words that were part of the sequence. The independent variable for this study was the types of words that were presented on the test (response buttons). The dependent variable was the percentage of each types of items reported. This method is appropriate to observe one's false memory since it is designed bias the participants to recall particular words that was not in the sequence that they were presented with. These particular distractor words were sleep, needle, sweet, chair, mountain, and rough and they were presented one at a time. The sequence of words When the participants report that one of these particular distractor words was in the sequence, then that is the evidence that the participants have created false memories. The results of Roediger and McDermott's experiment were very significant. The participants recalled the critical distractor words 40% of the time compared to 14% recall of the normal distractor words. When they Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Memories Of My Life My first memory was of my cousin and I playing on the balcony of our two–bedroom apartment in Silver Spring, Maryland. We were throwing a tennis ball back and forth and when it was my turn to throw it to my cousin, I threw it a smidge too far. The tennis ball went behind a broken mirror table, and my cousin insisted that he should go and retrieve it. So he did, and we continue to play without a clue that my cousin had actually been deeply cut on his cheek by the broken glass. My aunt realized it as soon as we came indoors. It was a deep wound and the scar of it is still there today. This event may seem irrelevant, but that was how my life was structured–– going on with life without realizing the pain. My parents have always been there for me. Both came from low–income families in the West African countries of Senegal and Gambia. Both struggled to come to America in hopes of a better life and the " American dream" for their future children. My dad arrived in America first with his closest friends that I only know as my uncles. My mom arrived two years later and after two months of 'courting' with my dad, they got married. A year later, they had me. The three of us lived with my dad's close school friend, his wife, and my brave cousin. The only memories that I have of the little apartment in Silver Spring are filled with happiness and a huge 1st birthday party. My memories are only happy because I was blinded from the reality of the situation. My parents Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Grade School was the one stable environment that was holding my childhood together. I remember school being the place where I didn't worry about the craziness of my life at home. It was in elementary school where I transformed from a lost little girl into a confident young lady ready to tackle her future. Several distressing events influenced my elementary school years and changed my life direction. My parents divorced when I was in kindergarten. My dad moved away from Oklahoma and left my mom with me and my newborn baby brother to fend for ourselves. Before Coach Bailey, I would travel to PE, stretch, listen to the teacher chat about health, play a game, and never consider it for the rest of the day, if ever. Coach Bailey helped discover the athlete that was hiding deep inside. He made PE come to life. I remember him cracking jokes and using hilarious voices to teach us about being healthy and the different fundamentals of fitness. He would create games that were beyond just basic tag or dodge–ball. I found myself daydreaming about fitness and PE all the time, counting the minutes until I was back in that gym. During Coach Bailey's first year as our PE teacher, he coordinated the President's Physical Fitness Challenge. This was a series of fitness challenges from push up's and pull–up's to a shuttle relay and flexibility test. As I was completing these challenges the competitor inside came to life. All I wanted to do was WIN!! I found myself trying as intense as I had ever tried before. I wound up earning first place in the shuttle relay and Coach Bailey encouraged me to join the track team. Being on the track team helped to develop my talents as a runner and brought out the athlete I never knew existed inside. I continued running track in middle school and high school and won a silver medal at the state track meet my junior year. My love for fitness still rings true in my class and at my school. • 18. College Essay About High School Memories Memories are important because you can just think and your mind gets transported back to another time. Everyone has memories that matter so much to them that they can remember the most minuscule details no matter how long ago it was to them. To me one of those memories is the day I graduated high school. I could reflect about the big, fancy ceremony everyone generally thinks of. I also could think of everything I did that day and exactly how I felt. It was 5:00, an hour before graduation and my house was filled with family who was there to see me. I came upstairs to leave and my Grandma Jan was there and gave me a bear hug. She said, "My little Jiggy I can't believe how time flies." We talked about how I used to be so little playing with monster trucks in the sandpit in her backyard and how it just seemed like yesterday. I remember going upstairs and thanking each of my siblings for being there for me through everything. After that I went to my parent's room, gave them both a hug and told them how grateful I am for them. Each time I thanked someone more tears came to my eyes and not because of sadness but because of happiness, relief, and gratitude. I had to be at the school at 5:30 to get ready and it was ten minutes until then so I laced up my Jordan 1's and instantaneously burst out the door. I pulled up to the school and parked in the same spot I did everyday ever since I got my license. It hit me how bizarre it was that this was the closing of a chapter that was Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 20. My Memories Of My Childhood Memories Essay My earliest childhood memory is of the first time I met my mother in person when I was four. A beautiful woman whose personality seemed to glow from her. I had seen a picture of her before then I was told by Mummy Dada, my aunt, so I knew her on sight. The woman I saw walk in the room as I watched from my grandfather's lap seemed effervescent. She floated from person to person at the family reunion like an angel. My mother is one of thirteen children my grandpa has. My brother cousin wanted to play tag but my grandfather wanted me to stay put. Let me clarify, the term "brother cousin" is to describe my cousin that I had thought was my brother because we were raised as brother and sister. I was conflicted as to what I should do but eventually I choose to stay put for a little while. Within a few minutes I couldn't help myself, I hopped off grandpa's lap and went to play tag. It was my favorite game to play, I just knew it was. When it was my turn to give chase I ran around in an unladylike manner trying to catch one of my brother cousins. They were always too fast and out of reach. I didn't even attempt to catch any of my older cousins because I thought that they would be too fast for me to catch. Besides, I was only used to playing with the boys. I ran so fast in my shiny white patent leather shoes that I missed catching my twin brother cousin, Jerry. The term "twin brother cousin" refers to the "brother cousin" who had the same birthday as I did. The smooth bottoms of my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
