SEO Fundamentals for Content That Will Boost Your Traffic
Search engine optimization, or SEO, has long been a staple website traffic. If you want to rank well on search engines, you've always needed to play
nice with the rules that Google, Bing and the gang have set out.
Recently, SEO has moved away from placing such heavy emphasis on metadata â those tags, titles and descriptions they loved so much. To some
extent, URL's are less important to, at least when it comes to keyword stuffing.
If you're creating content with the hope that you'll rank well in search engines, you need to be up to date on the latest practices. Here are some
fundamentals to get you started.

You do want to use "construction crane" in titles and first paragraphs if that's your topic of choice.
This is not keyword stuffing. This is picking relevant keywords, and using them in the way humans would use them. This is the most powerful form of
SEO today: relevant content.
Write Useful and Relevant Content
Sticking with our construction theme, it's important that you don't just write a bunch of gibberish that contains "construction crane" keywords. That's
not content â that's keyword stuffing. The only way to rank on Google in competitive searches is to write relevant content.
You want your content to reflect a topic people want to know about. If someone is looking for "how to install a construction crane", your content should
be useful and insightful when it comes to installing a construction crane.
Ask yourself the following question in relation to your content:
Does this solve my problem?
Does it answer all the tricky questions I had? (does it go in depth?)
Is it a good enough solution that I would share it with people?
Is it interesting enough to share or are there better solutions?
If your content answers those questions, you're in great shape to have solid content that is topically optimized.
Stay on Topic
The last point about topical optimization is making sure you stay on topic. That sounds obvious, but it may not be.
3. For example, if your blog is

Google News, YouTube, and Google Maps.
Google has changed the way people look at and share information. Google is currently the leading search engine on the web. They attempt to stay
ahead of their competitors by creating new technologies and staying innovative. Google had to figure out how to build technology to scale and still
support it. This culture of web scale is the heart of the company. As of 2014, Google employed 53,600 fullâtime employees. It is fair to say, Google is
still striving; however, they are still trying to overcome social networking giants like Facebook and LinkedIn by investigating in Google Plus.

9. Search Engine Marketing Essay
Search engine marketing is the newest craze not only here in America, but also on a global level. Advertising online ensures that a broader
audience will be able to access the information that is put out. Search engines work in a diverse and complex manner. Understanding the way a
search engine indexes information and ranks websites will provide clues necessary to keep a site running smoothly and getting steady traffic.
Having a quality site is just the beginning of an online operation. Keeping a site in the top of the search engine list is not an easy task, but it is
critical for the success of any website. There are many major search engines to advertise with such as, Google, Yahoo, MSN, Bing and a variety of

Each site is ranked by popularity on the web. This is where web pages success rates come into play, a site that is close to the top of the search results,
will get more clicks than a site at the bottom of the search results. Rankings change constantly and while they can be influenced, they cannot be
completely controlled (Leib, 2009). Search engine optimization makes a site findable for the user. There are billions of websites out there and to
make one stand out there has to ensure that the site is easy to find. If a site ranks high one day, it may not necessarily stay in the top position.
Keywords and phrases can help a site be found by a search engine. Websites are constantly evolving and sites are constantly changing and updating
content. Websites change often, and so do search engines. It is critical that site managers are familiar with the everâchanging online world. Letting
search engine optimization go for a few months could significantly lower the finding rates for a site. This could lead to severe profit losses and a
lower return on investment for the companies' online resources. Keeping those robots happy, providing good links for them to hop around is only the
start. Watching for trends among users can provide clues to keep content relevant. There are also many different services offered between the different
search engines. Knowing this information will help a site maintain a higher ranking. References

Google is a search engine that is used as one of my primary resources on a daily basis, in my personal, education and work environment. By doing so,
I thought it would be an excellent choice to research their history as well as the benefits offered to their employees to continue to be a successful
company in the business world. In January 1996, Google began as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin that met at Stanford University
while pursuing their PhD. Because conventional internet search engines ranked outcomes by calculating the number of times the search expressions
showed up on the page, these two young men conjectured about enhancing the system that would explore the connections between websites. They
originally named the internet based search engine BackRub and renamed it to Google.com, on September 14, 1997 it was registered as a domain
name and incorporated on September 4, 1998 Google was derived by the misspelling of the word "googol", which was the number one followed by
one hundred zeros, that was selected to indicate that the search engine was projected to provide a large capacity of information, that was responsible
by a man named Milton Sirotta. Before Google was incorporated, the coâfounder of Sun Microsystems, Andy Bechtolsheim contributed one hundred
thousand to develop the search engine. The operation was first based out of a garage that was rented to Page and Brin by a friend, Susan Wojcicki,
which was located in Menlo Park,

You have definitely started losing customers to your competitors. It may be too late by the time this reflects in your bottom line. Commerce is moving
from offline to online. In a few years, there will be only two kinds of businesses. It will be the ones that have been optimized and the ones that are no
longer sustainable.
Boost of brand credibility
People trust search engines so much. So, when your web links keep appearing often on search engine result pages, your credibility will be boosted.
This will also help to reinforce your brand. Once you earn customers' trust, it will lead to regular traffic with high sales conversion rate. How do you
feel about a brand when you keep seeing it all over the internet? The brand great and their products are fantastic... isn't it? This is exactly how people
will feel about your brand when your website is well optimized for search engines.
Affordability
SEO is one of the cheapest methods of marketing. It is cheaper than Google Adwords and all other forms of digital marketing. This may be because
it takes a long time before you begin to get the result. This is why it requires several months of hard work and a lot of perseverance. The payâoff lies
in the permanence of the result. Once the traffic starts coming, it won't cease. Unlike Google Adwords that will stop pulling customers the day you
stop paying for clicks.

Keyword stuffing involves placing multiple high value search terms in a web page. Ghost text then masks those keyword in the same color as the
background, hiding them from view. Placing irrelevant results higher in the ranking and possible redirecting consumers.
While these factors affect consumers more than businesses, it is the business who suffer as their customers are redirected and frustrated by these
tactics. However, search technologies has greatly benefited many companies from conducting enterprise searches and search engine marketing to the
ability to find intellectual property. Enterprise Searching allows employees with access to multiple databases to conduct research and share
information throughout the company. "This type of software cleans and structures data to make information that is usually spread across a variety of
repositories easier to find. Employees can benefit from using this type of software since all employees need to retrieve data from a mix of databases
and shared sources to accomplish daily tasks. "(G2 Crowd).
Another useful tool is the ability to find intellectual property. "This might include confidential reports, images, copyrighted blog posts, creative writing
(e.g., poetry, novels, etc.), and so on. You can use search engines to find where someone may have posted your intellectual property on the Web without
permission" (Turban, Volonino, Wood, p. 197).

Optimization of your web page so that is it easy for search engine crawlers to find and index is extremely important. There are many techniques that
can be used for this purpose. One example is a site map. This is simply a file that contains all of the information about each page on your site.
Finding your keywords
Before any work can be done with keywords, it first must be determined what they are. This can be tricky, even for someone who knows all of the
finer points of the products they sell. What has to be determined is what are the likely words that Internet users will enter into a search box when
looking for the product that you sell. This is not always a simple task, and to a certain extent, it may take some trial and error. Once your keywords
are known, it then becomes a priority to develop content on your website that uses these keywords. Search engines will then relate these keywords to
your website, and it will help to make your website rank high in search engine results.
Creating quality content for your website
In the long run, the most important part of search engine optimization is to have quality content on your website. What you are looking for is the type
of content that people will want to obtain in order to get information relating to the type of product or service that you offer. One of the most popular

relevance of a web page or website. This algorithm will be used to separate the sort and later on rank in the order of its popularity and quality. The
mathematical algorithms contain variety of variables often mentioned to as place factors.

They realized that the most popular sites are those linked the most in other pages. Here is the pseudocode algorithm for searching:
1. Parse the query
2. Convert the words into wordIDs.
3. Seek to the start of the doclist in the short barrel for every word.
4. Scan through the doclists until there is a document that matches all the search terms.
5. Compute the rank of that document for the query.
6. If we are in the short barrels and at the end of any doclist, seek to the start of the doclist in the full barrel for every word and go to step 4.
7. If we are not at the end of any doclist go to step 4.
8. Sort the documents that have matched by rank and return the top k.
Each link to a page is like a vote for that page as well as the pages linked to that page. Thus a hierarchy of pages is created and the search results are
much more reliable. Lycos and Excite also use the same system, but Google goes further. "It then looked at the position of the words on the page, the
size of the fonts, and the likelihood that the words were related to each other" (1). Going the extra distance gives Google much better precision.
Google and engines like it can still be manipulated to achieve higher rankings. Anyone who creates a set of pages with links between them can fool the
system and add value to their page. So the race continues to find yet another search engine. One promising way to search for

Search Engines
A search engine is a website or program used to find information on the internet. That is a very basic and semiâvague definition of what a search
engine is and what they do. More specifically search engines actually search the internet based on a keyword or phrase that the user inputs into it.
Once someone has begun to search for something on a search engine. The search engine finds relevant information on the keyword or phrase that
has already been gathered and organized. The gathered information is then displayed to the user as search engine result pages (or SERPs) based on
how relevant it is to the search information they entered. That may be presented as websites, videos, sound files, pictures, or other types of
information or files. Also as more users search for different key words or phrases the search engine beings to group search results that go along with
similar keywords and phrases so that future users can have access to the most up to date and relevant files and information that is available on the
internet.
The history of the search engine comes from like most invention, necessity. Once the internet had been created it began growing rapidly to the point
where it was getting harder and harder to navigate and search for the information that you needed or were looking for. Something needed to be created
to alleviate this problem. The original search engine needed to be made. The first program to be used to search on the internet was
