Activation
Project Activation is intended
for project teams who have
completed the Project Planning
Breakthroughs™ programme.
In Activation a Priority Consultant
works with your project team on
an aspect of a “real world” project.
The purpose is to coach and guide
the team in applying the processes
and techniques learned during
Project Planning Breakthroughs.
In this way Priority can help
facilitate the transition from learning
in a workshop environment to real
world application and practice.
Transferring learning into
practice through team coaching
Project Activation sessions are tailored to suit the specific needs of
the project team.Activation usually takes place when the team is at
a significant point in the project process. For example:
• At the initiation of a project
• At a project team“kick off” meeting
•When developing the project Objective Statement
•When doing risk assessment
•When developing the performance criteria for the project
•When developing the project Execution Plan
•When preparing for a stage gate review
The duration of an Activation session varies depending on the
scope and complexity of the work required and the duration may
range from half a day to five days. Multiple Activation sessions can
take place during the lifecycle of the project.
The project team benefits through receiving expert, impartial
support in using the project tools and methodology which can
then be successfully integrated into working practices. Ultimately
the organisation benefits through developing fully competent,
self-reliant project practitioners who are able to apply best
practice project management processes and deliver successful
projects – as designed, on time and on budget.
