2. Why DFG Benchmarking is needed
There are 326 local authorities in England that deliver DFGs – and
probably 326 different ways of doing it.
Some take weeks, some months and a few take years
Some get really good value for money, other less so
But most do not know how they compare with others
This DFG Benchmarking offer will allow local authorities to
compare their performance across a range of metrics, receive
detailed analysis and support to improve their delivery

5. DFG VfM Score
Your DFG VFM score is based on Cost, Operations and Outcomes.
The scoring is based on the quartile system presented below and the system will match the score closest to the quartile position.
The maximum score for any category will be 40 and the minimum score will be 10. The maximum total VFM score is therefore 120,
as this would represent (elite) upper quartile performance for all categories. Conversely, the lowest score would be 30, as this
would represent (poor) lower quartile performance for all categories.
