OBJECTIVE:

management, phlebotomy, and lab services can be fully and effectively utilized.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
 Ability to relate, communicate effectively and work well with physicians, management and
other employees in a one on one or team atmosphere
 Possess proficient skill and knowledge of phlebotomy, processing, micro-biology and the set
up of micro media
 Directed day to day operations of lab services, recognizing problems, thinking them through
and making decisions in line with established properties
 Flexibility and adaptability to new and/or changing conditions with a sense of urgency
 Self-starter who tolerates pressure well
 Managed and supervised facilities employing up to twenty employees
 Demonstrates a clear understanding that timely attention to paper work (orders, reports,
results, etc.) is essential to ensure proper operation of a position, department or facility
 Organized and worked in conjunction with Major League ball club coaches to assure that their
ball players received necessary lab work according to their contractual agreement. Organized
and directed groups of phlebotomists to a timely completion of these tasks

Phlebotomist
 Collected blood primarily by performing venipuncture and processed specimens in
laboratory in a timely manner.
SONORA QUEST LABORATORIES May 1997 – April 2010
Phlebotomy Coordinator
 Performed all the duties under “Summary of Qualifications” in this position.
Test Management Technician
 In addition to routine duties of technician, which includes collecting and processing
laboratory specimens, many responsibilities from the Test Management Coordinator
have been carried over to this position with the exception of coordination of the other
technicians. See below for responsibilities of the Test Management Coordinator position.
Test Management Coordinator
 Responsible for ensuring the flow of the efficient delivery of lab services for physicians,
nursing staff and patients to ensure quality care for patients. Perform blood draws,
process specimens and label morning runs. Remain accessible by phone or in person to
assist personnel in problem solving and clarification of the proper ordering of tests and
test classification terminology and results given to physicians and/or nursing staff.
SEIPALM MOBILE MEDICAL, Mesa AZ Oct. 2000 – Oct. 2003
Contracted Phlebotomist
 Responsibilities were to perform and co-ordinate “STAT” and routine blood draws
services to home bound patients within a specified time frame in accordance with
Seipalm regulations. Identify insurance accurately to ensure that the correct laboratory
received specimens. As a contracted Phlebotomist I managed and maintain my business’
records, inventory, and daily and weekly production reports.
THOMAS DAVIS MEDIAL CENTER, Mesa AZ Sept. 1991 –Oct. 1996
Phlebotomist
 Performed blood draws and processed blood work, worked in micro biology and the set
up of micro media, prepared reports, signed results and worked one on one with
physicians in problem solving. Worked independently, managing a one-person lab
(scheduled patients, ordered lab work, performed blood draws and processed blood
work, maintained inventory, prepared reports). Trained new employees for other
facilities.
UNITED STATES MILITARY, (Army National Guard -43rd Task Force) 1989 –1997
Served in “Gulf War” in Saudi Arabia June 1991 to April 1992. Supervised kitchen and dining
facility personnel that served over one thousand military personnel. Trained in heavy equipment:
MOS 62 Echo (Heavy Equipment Operator), 76 Victor (shipping and Receiving Specialist) and
94 Bravo (Food Services)- Honorable discharge [Sargent E5]
CERTIFICATION:
National Certification in Phlebotomy (AMT)
