I am currently working in the Mining Industry as a mechanical trade
assistant/storeman and hold a current national police clearance.
My ideal role is one that is hands on and that keeps me physically and mentally fit. I

o Install underground services (logstor pipes). Welder set up, fire
watch, pipe fitter set up for welding.
o Locate pipe on flat rack (spools number), organise rigger with
Franna (crane) to relocate pipe into position on pipe rack;
o Find/locate pipe shoes, guides, line stops, studs, gaskets, send to
site for install;
o Pipe work 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 inch pipes, carbon, stainless, duplex for
installation to air-receivers, diesel tanks, diesel generators, pipe
rack, water tanks;
o Pipework installation & welding to RO Plant (Reverse Osmosis
Plant);

o Pipework to water desalination unit with floating valves, gate valves,
studs and gaskets – works completed with pipe fitter;
o Fire line install to pipe rack with flange management;
o Assist to align pumps with mechanical fitter with laser
alignments, shims and setup.
Commissioning Team
o Hydro-testing as part of handover to client which includes hydro-
testing pipelines with water, pneumatic testing/water install, pressure
testing, release and dry out of pipelines ready for hand over.

o Good received, mark off and data entry, stock reports, hand out of
equipment, general store set up and running, reporting to
supervision.
