Dear Sir/Madam,
Please find a copy of my attached CV for your review regarding up and coming positions. I am looking for
an opportinity which will help me enhance my experience within the drilling industry. I have no preference
between working rotas although I would relish an opportunity to work overseas should a position arrise.
I began my drilling career in 2001 with Boldon Drilling at Wytch Farm. Gaining experience in drilling
ERD wells for oil and gas. At Wytch farm the success of our teamwork helped us to achieve industry
drilling records, U.K. drilling records and International drilling records.
In 2006 I joined Larchford Limited on a new concept automated/Cyber mobile drilling rig. This type of
drilling rig was cyber based with all controls for the equipment being operated from the drillers consol. We
operated for Star Energy around the Lincoln, Basingstoke and as far south as Redhill areas. During this time
I gained extensive knowledge and thorough understanding on all aspects of E.R.D. and Multi lateral wells. I
am familiar with all the latest down hole tools including Rotary Steerable drilling package and Tubing
Conveyed Logging Systems.
I joined KCAD on the Bruce platform in 2008 in order to enhance my drilling expierence where I gained
cyber experience with the PHM3i pipe handler and mud mix systems. I have since worked on the Harding,
Heather and Thistle platforms.
In 2012 I joined Odfjell Drilling on the Harding platform in order to gain further experience to progress my
career. Whilst on the Harding I was part of a team who successfully drilled challanging wells under MPD
control, these wells had been attempted several times previously without success.
In 2014 I rejoined KCADeutag as Rig Superintendent Performance coach on the Heather platform. In
Novermber 2014 I was transferred to the Thistle platform as Rig Superintendent (Senior toolpusher) in order
to head up the preparation for drilling operations after the 5 yearly recert of the drilling equipment. I then
continued in the position of Rig Superintendent Performance coach in order to further enhance the overall
performance of the team. During this time, the team was to be commended by Enquest management for
successfully completing side tracks in record time with no incedents.
Because of my experience and motivation, I firmly believe that I would be able to enhance the performance
of any team in which I am a member.
I look forward to hearing from my future employer in order to discuss my career path.
Yours sincerely
Paul Britton
