I‘m highly motivated and passionate about the food industry. I started my career at an early age working in the kitchens and then
further experience included a spell at The Ritz Hotel in London as a Chef de Partie to learn all aspects of the trade in a prestigious
working kitchen environment. Progression to The Whiting and Hammond Group followed as an Assistant Manager. I then joined the
Tanner Brothers at The Kentish Hare, where I have set up the pub and Restaurant and Pub that opened in May 2104.

company.

I was working in a busy pub with the capacity of around 200 covers inside, as an assistant manager. My duties at the pub included the
day-to-day running of the business that included the on-going training and recruitment of staff, interacting with the customers,
building up good relationships and organising events and functions such as buffets and Christmas parties. I managed around 15 staff
front of house, 10 back of house and had to keep their staff files updated and deal with any issues in and outside of work. I was also

responsible for maintaining the bar, making sure the cellar was clean, tidy, up to regulation standards and the beer and wine was fully
stocked. I was involved in organising a very successful 3-day beer festival where we ran 25 different beers and 6 ciders.

My primary role was to oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals. Directing chefs in preparing, cooking and
presenting culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen and trouble-shooting any problems that may
arise. I managed a small team of 4 and worked closely with the other sections in the kitchen to make sure that all meals went out on
time and was to the highest standard. I was also responsible for all orders in the section and making sure health and safety records
were up to date and accurate. It was a fast and demanding job and very rewarding to see a dish come together from start to finish.
