Talent Is More Important Than Hard Work
Everyone has always said that hard work beats talent, but that may not be the case. People with natural talent have the upper hand on people who
work hard, natural talent is set at a higher standard than the average person, also scouts look at raw talent. Looking at all the evidence talent is
more important than hard work. People with natural talent have more drive because they want to be the best they can be, and try harder at the sport
or whatever they are doing. People that have to try harder than them don't have as much drive as them, and don't try as hard. They also get
intimidated by people with natural talent, and feel as though they shouldn't be doing this, and think that they should quit because they will never be
as good as the person with natural talent. The first reason why talent is more important than hard work is people with naturally born talent at a skill
will have the upper hand. People with natural talent don't have to work as hard than other people giving them the upper hand on other people. People
with naturally born talent at a skill don't have to work as hard to get it or learn it than people who have to work harder than they do to get it or learn
it. Certain things come easy to them which makes them better at a skill than someone else who has to work super hard at a skill. The next reason why
talent is more important than hard work is natural talent boost your maximum potential, and your standards is set higher than everyone else. People

"Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work," (King). As Stephen King
said, simply having a talent is commonplace in the world today. Whether it is incredible artistic ability, impressive grades, skill at a particular sport,
or even kindness, every person has a feature that sets them apart. However, this natural ability does not guarantee success in any field. Ultimately, it is
hard work that will lead you to a successful lifestyle, even with the advantages held by those with natural abilities. Developing skills in the areas that
you have interest in will ensure your prosperity, regardless of where you start, as demonstrated by author J.K. Rowling and her characters in Harry
Potter.
The best way to achieve success is by developing and expanding upon a particular skill. Benjamin Franklin wrote in Poor Richard's Almanack, his
collection of aphorisms, about this very topic: "Genius without education is like silver in the mine" (Franklin 147). If silver in a mine is not
discovered, what good will it do anyone? In the same way, natural born genius will only benefit the world if it is continuously filled with
knowledge and allowed to grow. If you fail to develop and improve any skills that you possess, regardless of what they are, it is as if they never
existed. Other people are fortunate enough to have the same talents as you; if they put in more effort, they will excel. Even if someone does not

Success literature going back hundreds of years espouses the benefits of hard work. But why is it that some people seem to feel that "hard work"
is a dirty word nowadays? I define "hard work" as work that is challenging. Both hard work and "working hard" (i.e. putting in the time required to
get the job done) are required for success. A problem occurs when people think of challenging work as painful or uncomfortable. Does challenging
work necessarily have to be painful? No, of course not. In fact, a major key to success is to learn to enjoy challenging work AND to enjoy working
hard at it. Why challenging work? Because challenging work, when intelligently chosen, pays off. It's the work that people of lesser character will
avoid. And if...show more content...
Hard work is something you look forward to because you know that it will lead to tremendous growth. And you eventually develop the maturity
and responsibility to understand that certain goals will never just flow into your life; they'll only happen if you act as the driving force to bring
them to fruition. When faced with the prospect of saying to yourself, "If I always avoid hard work, I'll never in my life get to experience X, Y, or
Z," it's a little easier to embrace the benefits of hard work. What will you miss out on? You'll probably never run a marathon, marry the mate of your
dreams, become a multi–millionaire, make a real difference in the world, etc. You'll have to settle for only what going with the flow can provide,
which is mediocrity. You'll basically just take up space and die without really having mattered. The world will be pretty much the same had you
never existed (chaos theory notwithstanding). If you want to achieve some really big and interesting goals, you have to learn to fall in love with hard
work. Hard work makes the difference. It's what separates the children from the mature adults. You can keep living as a child and desperately hoping
that life will always be easy, but then you'll be stuck in a child–like world, working on other people's goals instead of your own, waiting for
opportunities to come to you instead of creating your own, and doing work that in the grand scheme of this world

us every day, and when co–workers noticed that the supervisor was focusing more on pleasing the funding process, they began to feel as if they were
not doing a good job. Co–workers started to call into work because of feeling sick. When they would return from being sick, they would mention
that they had been stressing out and he was the cause of them getting ill. I asked, "why the stress"? They responded, "We feel that he does not
appreciate all the hard work we are already doing." I responded; " Remember when he allowed all the flexibility and sharing ideas in our own pace
setting strategy?" Yes, they said, well if you are having a difficult time understanding why you arefeeling the way you are feeling; you need to
communicate that with the leader and find a better solution, so you are not feeling unappreciated. Reminded each employee to remember he is
learning how to lead and so far he is doing a great job by coming in and checking to see how we are doing and if we need any help. He also makes
sure we are not overwhemed in our classes and does understand when we need some assistance to implement a change or if an activity is age
appropiate. I reminded the team to always communicate because what they misunderstand or see is not what was intended to be misinterpreted. He
also showed the ability to build up his employees and help their work performance accelerate with his coaching skills. Although, not having that
much of leading experience he used his own experience to help build up his employees for improvement. Continuing to learn his role as a leader he
would do his best, but most of the times through his learning he would need a lot of direction from his supervisor. In the process of him leading his
team, there were a lot of times he would manage poorly and un–prepared with duties that may have required. Most days he would come into the class
and mention to the teams to take the day as it happens, tweak different ideas until I can get you all the right materials to help smooth out your routines.
Organizational culture has been affected in diverse ways, such as the way employees are trying to advance their skills. I see parents not developing

Some corps members say that teaching is the hardest thing they've ever done. There are moments when plans don't work out perfectly and where,
despite having worked extremely hard, you might not feel good at your job. What concerns do you have about taking on this experience?
I have had to learn the hard way that sometimes you are not immediately the best at a new skill or activity. This has been a very formative and
constructive experience for me as I have had to learn the meaning of hard work for the sake of personal betterment, a skill that I believe is lacking in
many young people today. I was not always the best student, best athlete, or best at a given activity; however, you could be guaranteed that I would be
the hardest working. I have no doubt that challenging moments will arise in which I might momentarily doubt my abilities, but I trust in my fortitude
and persistence that I will work to get better and be better for the sake of myself and my students.
As you know, our corps members teach in predominantly low–income communities. What experiences (in life, work, volunteering, etc.) have you had
that could inform your success teaching in low–income communities?
I grew up, excuse the clichГ©, without two pennies to rub together. I know what it means to be a low–income student because I am and was one
throughout my life. My friends, family, and loved ones all fall into this category and I have been shaped by it. Working as a tutor and classroom aide in

Students that work hard and are interested in learning are the students I think achieve success. Although sometimes some children can't achieve that due
to certain circumstances. I read the Collections & Collections: Close Reader to gather information. There are various ways for Anaheim Schools to
improve like working hard as was proven in Marita's Bargain, also by having a growth mindset as seen in Secret to Raising Smart Kids, as well as
valuing student's efforts like in Mad Hot Ballroom. Big classrooms in AHS aren't helping the students. The change needed is hard work. The students
at AHS are not the most academic per say, but they try indeed. Marita's Bargain by Malcolm Gladwell is a non–fictional character that does indeed
have to do what is said. Students need to give up weekends and vacations for school as they learn better, work harder. "She interviewed me, and the
way she was saying made it sound so hard I thought I was going to prison." (13) The thoughts of the sacrifices Marita was going to make scared her.
She still proceeded because she needed the education. "On the walls of the classroom were dozens of certificates from the New York Regents exam,
testifying to first–class honors for Corcoran' students." (14) As said before the hard work has led to a better outcome. Hard work is a needed change in
every aspect of life as it leads to success especially in the education area.
Having multiple teachers in AHS doesn't seem to help students excel in their education.

Qualities that Define a Hard Working Person What qualifies a person to be categorized as a "hard worker". He/She would have to be willing to do
the work, and not only do it, but do it right. Efficiency, things such as showing up on time, and getting the job done in a decent amount of time. A
person would have the knowledge to be able to do their work. Just as the cell is basic for life, being efficient is the basic factor of all hard workers.
This is extremely important, it ties in with the other factors of the hard worker. Bosses look for people who are efficient, people who get the job
done the best and fastest way. Efficiency is not only better and faster but it is also cheaper. I worked for a gentleman that always...show more content...
Does this person have the right skills to perform the job? An example I can think of is when I worked for a rental company. When I turned 18
years old, my employers told me I had to get my class E drivers license. Now this might not sound like a big deal but it was because if I did not get
it within five days of my 18th birthday I could not come back to work. The only way to get to work again was to pass the test and bring a verified
copy. This is a skill I had to obtain to work this job. Other such skills required of me was that I had to know how to pull trailers behind trucks, work
on and with heavy machinery such as bucket lifts, tractors, lawn mowers, and other such types of equipment. A knowledge base should not only
contain the skills needed to do the job but also some common sense. I say this meaning problem solving skills. For example if an engine is not
running this is how I would go about trying to make it run, my problem solving method. Remembering what I had been told about engines needing
three basic things,(fuel, oxygen, and fire) first I would check the gas, this sounds very elementary, but it is amazing how many people don't look at
this. If this turns out not to be the problem, next I would check the oil. Another of many simple things that people tend to over look. The third thing to
check would probably be the spark plug. Now granted these things are very simple but it is a good way of showing problem solving methods. The

Value Of Hard Work Essay
Hard work equals success in many people's eyes. Experiencing work with family, school, and in the workplace has shown me the importance of
hard work and dedication. Along with with that, I have gained responsibility, experience, and balance. Although my experience has shown me the
importance of hard work and dedication, it has also helped me distinguish the risk of how the the value of work can be taken for granted. I have
not always had the right attitude towards work as a whole, but I have learned to love the idea and application of it; with exceptions. As a child, up
until a certain point, I have always worked with my father in the restaurant business. My dad fell in love with the restaurant business when he was
younger. His dream was to own as many restaurants as he could. The business started off small, but his dream came true overtime. We went from
waking up every morning in the summer selling tacos; to waking up and prepping for opening at "Hit The Spot Cafe". I hated waking up so early,
but my dad said I didn't have a choice. He gets up every day whether he feels like it or not. My father has always worked nonstop, and he's the type
to keep himself busy. Over the years I've learned within my experience growing up in such a business, and possibly most; it can be tough. Working
with my dad taught me the value of working hard. His dedication inspired me to wish to become just as focused with work. In all of the jobs I've
acquired outside of my dad's business, I gave

Which Is More Important, Talent Or Hard Work?
Which is more important, talent or hard work?. Other people refer to this question as Nature vs. Nurture (Taylor). Throughout the years there has
been debates about the topic and it will go on in the future because of different beliefs and thoughts that people have. This argument can be compared
with democrats and republicans, some believe one thing and the others something else. Hard work always comes out on top of talent because of the
time and dedication a person utilizes to work hard and get to a high level of skill and knowledge.
Hard work, also known as nurture, is commonly defined as environment and experience. Nature is something that you naturally have within you,
such as certain skills and abilities that you can do and others can 't, which is difficult to find people who can do certain abilities and skills. Even
though people can develop skills and even a talent from working hard, It is very difficult for them to reach a certain level of skill. Past generations
used to believe that talent and stars were born not made, but that belief has been drastically changed by the people who worked hard every day to
reach their goals (Krakovsky). The ones who worked hard to get to a high level, did not only learn one skill they learned many others along the way
whether it was a mental skill or a physical skill(Shanks). There is only a few bad sides to hard work, one is that if you work too hard in a physical
activity, you can get hurt and that can can slow you down or even

Thomas Jefferson's Essay On Hard Work
Thomas Jefferson wrote, "Determine never to be idle. . . It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing." Do you think you could
get far in life without working? Do you feel like you should recieve everything you want exactly when you want it? Some individuals don't have to
work, but there are others in the world who know that hard work actually pays off in the end. There's nothing wrong with work, and a lot of people
fail to realize that. If you want good things for yourself have to work for them. That's like going to school everyday. Good grades mean a lot because
they could get you very far in life, but they just don't come like that. You have to work hard and play even harder. School is where it all starts, and

Don't sit around and let life pass you by. If you feel like you want something right now, then the time starts now. Don't down yourself either because
that's why so many people give up. Just because one thing fails doesn't mean it'll be that way forever. You can change your life right now by doing
anything. You do know that if you don't do anything about it nothing will come. Anything can happen even with smallest step taken. What you do
now will show off in the future. The situation you are in now could change in the blink of an eye either for the good or the bad. But that result
counts on you and your mindset. If you're lazy now and you don't try to better yourself, you will be the exact same in the end. But if you are on a good
road now keep it up because you never know where you could be 20 years from now. In conclusion, if you feel like you're busy now just wait until the
end. You'll see where the hardworkers are and you'll see who's still at the same point where you once were. Keep yourself occupied but with positive
things. You have to believe that your work will pay off, so never give up. You do know that inactivity will never ever serve as a purpose to you and

Persuasive Essay On Hard Work
It's common to think that hard work is the key that will help people move up in the world, and that is true for the most part. However what is one
supposed to do when there's a roadblock that is difficult to overcome? There are factors that may all together or by one at a time cause someone to not
achieve that pay that wish. Due to education and wealth, discrimination, worker abilities and monopoly power, the opportunities of equal pay isn't
always obtainable to workers.
First factor of income quality, not every citizen has the best education they can get for that high paying job, and not many has the funds to get that job
they really desire. In our world, not everything can be as fair for those who strive for success. Consider this, many people start at working minimum
wage which is about nine dollar an hour. For one waitress addressed in a PBS news article by Paul Solman, that one waitress only earned $2.13 an
hour before taxes. It is stated by many who are struggling with minimum wage that it is not enough to live on. As the cost of living increases, the
minimum wage becomes insufficient in covering bills and cost. As a result of this situation, there are inspiring students who are unable to go further
with their education and move up in life. Being stuck near the poverty line creates a situation where as much as those workers desire to progress in
their career, insufficient funds and the lack of education keeps them from doing so as many higher paying jobs require

Examples Of Hard Work Ethic Essay
There are few things that are extremely important in life, and I am positive they vary from person to person. Mine form a triangle including family
and friends, education, and a hard work ethic. Without one or the other, they all fail. Without a work ethic, I would never have the motivation to get an

My first jobs I ever had included working mutually for both my parents. They were always very tough on me and expected the very best outcome
from me. I assumed this was just because I was their daughter. But a year later, when I received a job as a waitress at a local restaurant/ ice cream
shop, I realized that my parents had treated me like any other employee. I was never expecting a boss, that was not my mother nor father, to yell at
me or be strict and disciplined. There were several times when my boss at the restaurant had shouted at me for serving too much ice cream on a
cone. I will always remember the feeling of disappointment I received when my boss was unhappy with my service. I soon learned that all the
complaining my parents did about their employees were actual issues, and that I did not want to be like the employees they criticized. This was my
first realization at how important a strong work ethic is.
The next component that displayed how important my work ethic is, includes my senior year high school volleyball season. Volleyball was a sport I
played from 5th grade all the way up through my senior year. Volleyball pre

already been through tryouts my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, so I went into my senior year tryout not worried at all. After three days of

Essay 1, Question 1–B The money one earns is but one piece of the complicated way Americans understand social class. Separating class along
income lines does not account for differences in the cost of living from region to region; a solid middle–class income in one area may only afford a
working–class lifestyle in another. How an individual interprets hard–work, and what they draw from it, is a better indicator of class than arbitrary
scales that rely on income. Both working and middle–class Americans rely on hard work, at least in part, to define their class position. The
working–class derive honor and moral superiority from their hard–work, while the middle–class gain the ability to realize their potential and justify
their success. Declining since the 1970s, working–class wages, adjusted for inflation, are as much as 25% less than several decades ago (Silva, pg. 14).
Facing reduced earning power, the working–class view hard–work as a source of honor, not financial reward. Jennifer Silva finds workers living on the
margins of society share a belief in the value of hard work despite the lack of financial gain (Silva, pg. 84–5). Michelle Lamont notes a similar response
from members of the working–class she interviews, with them identifying hard–work as trait of moral people (Lamont, pg. 21). Workers define a good
person as one who works hard to provide for and protect their family, financially and physically (Lamont, 24 & 29). The working–class view

The Value Of Hard Work
Anh Hoang Professor King ENG 101 12 Dec 2015 The Value of Hard Work Essentially, the concept of one's ability to participate in manual labor has
been juxtaposed with strength and endurance. However, it is not considerable to say that white–collar are always "weaker" than other labors because a
person needs both the effectiveness in physical works and the mental effort that he/she gives in order to be successful on works. With this belief, I
will analyze three opinions about hard work in Crawford, Braaksma, and Colon works. To begin, manual workers play an important role in the
world. In his essay "The Psychic Satisfaction of Manual Works", Crawford describes himself as a household electrician whose work mostly "got
covered up inside walls" (212). This work seems not to be interesting at all, but he still takes this position with pride because he believes his work
has "a social currency". In other words, Crawford understands that his job as an electrician is needed by many people, and he works not only to
better himself but also to enjoy his favorable work, as a craftsmanship who "consist only in the desire to do something well, for its own sake." (212).
He sees his manual work valuable and comfortable to him, and he hopes that others, especially one who has the same job with him understand the
valuable of manual works. Because manual labors are in front of reality judgement as all of their failures or shortcomings are interpreted, they have the

To achieve goals in life, hard work must be done. Hard work is more than just physical labor. It is a way to reach your goals. It starts off as a plan and
in the end, becomes an asset to your achievement. Creating this motivational drive that pursues a path to success. Hard work is time–consuming effort
and dedication that leads to achievement. Hard work is time–consuming effort. When achieving goals, the first step is creating a plan. The plan lays
out the process of how to accomplish the certain goal. This plan may take a significant amount of time to complete depending on the process. Working
diligently allows the person to succeed further in their set goal. For example, during my high school career, I made it my personal goal to maintain a
high g.p.a. As simple as it sounds, the work to achieve this goal was not. In the beginning of my first year, I planned what amount of work will have
to be completed to maintain a high g.p.a. As the years progressed, the workload did as well. My 11th grade year I worked the hardest. Deciding to
take three AP classes that year, I stayed on track with all the classwork and homework. Almost every day there was a new assignment to complete with
short deadlines. At times, the workload was overwhelming. Constantly having to check the gradebook online to make sure I was not missing any
assignments, or failing any classes. There were moments where it felt more of a mental process than actual physical labor. Finding the motivation to
continue made it more of a mental process. Completing all the extra work an AP level student does compared to a regular level student is very
time–consuming. I began to realize how many hours I would spend doing AP homework, compared to the amount of time I spend on my regular level
homework. After all the time–consuming effort I did throughout the year, I achieved a g.p.a. high then I anticipated. Hard work is time–consuming
effort that will lead to success. Similarly, Hard work is dedication. Dedicating time to pursue goals. Doing whatever is possible to overcome obstacles.
When failure happens, giving up is not an option. For instance, my mother is a hard–working person. Since she was a child, her mother taught her the
importance of hard work

learned in everything he did for me. If he gave me something for doing what I was supposed to do, he would tell me that God's reward for me
being responsible is even greater. My father continually stressed to me that when you work hard for the money, there is always a greater reward at
the end. Finally, I thank my father for teaching me that a real man works hard for his money. My father always said if a person takes the easy route
to get money, that person won't appreciate anything. I didn't understand what my father meant by that until I got older. Seeing people sell drugs to
get money, I noticed that those people didn't care how the money was spent. I would see those people buying clothes, which were ridiculously
expensive; like five or six hundred dollar shirts. These guys had no clue about how to work hard for their money, so they didn't care how fast it was
spent. Then I saw a hard working man who cherished every dime he worked for. In the end, what my father was trying to teach me was that there are
benefits for those that work hard, and none for those that don't. In conclusion, I thank my father for being there to teach me how to be a hardworking
man, the importance of being responsible, and how nothing comes easily.

The secret of success, as many people will agree, is hard work. Evidently, successful people are admired in the society. In many instances, they
make headlines in the mainstream media. However, such people are not many in the society. Many people still struggle to achieve their goals in
life. Others give up, all together, when they attempt without success to achieve their goals. Simply, many people are unable or unwilling to engage
in hard work for them to be successful. "To succeed, work hard and never give up and above all cherish a magnificent obsession" Many people give
up when they do not feel like pursuing their goals or when they experience setbacks at the initial stages of a project. For instance, many people trying
to lose weight may not see the results within the first few weeks of rigorous exercise and dieting. At this stage, unsuccessful people will give up. On
the other hand, hardworking people try to find ways of solving some of the setbacks– instead of giving up. More so, they put in more effort even when
they realize that have slim chances of winning. "Dreams don't work unless you

Reflection On Hard Work
As this summer comes to a close I have sat back and reflected on all of the long hours, and hard work that has went into this internship. I have been
around a group of coaches that have showed me compassion, amazing work ethic, and stern guidance. Never once did I feel like I was just some intern
that was under everyone and just took all of the terrible jobs that no one else wanted to do. Now while the jobs that I did have were hard and they were
strenuous. I feel like I was fully prepared to tackle and handle every single obstacle that came my way. I believe that the reason that I was able to
handle all of these stressors was because of how prepared Berry has made me. Never once did I not hear a term or drill that I did not know because

keep that competitive edge that they need during the season. On Thursday the guys had no on the field conditioning and they would be just in the

military press, and other upper body lifts so that they could produce great amounts of force with their upper body. Once Friday rolled around the
athletes had a day of just conditioning. This day usually involved the greatest amount of conditioning, and usually put the greatest amount of stress on

Talent Is More Important Than Hard Work

  • 1. Talent Is More Important Than Hard Work Everyone has always said that hard work beats talent, but that may not be the case. People with natural talent have the upper hand on people who work hard, natural talent is set at a higher standard than the average person, also scouts look at raw talent. Looking at all the evidence talent is more important than hard work. People with natural talent have more drive because they want to be the best they can be, and try harder at the sport or whatever they are doing. People that have to try harder than them don't have as much drive as them, and don't try as hard. They also get intimidated by people with natural talent, and feel as though they shouldn't be doing this, and think that they should quit because they will never be as good as the person with natural talent. The first reason why talent is more important than hard work is people with naturally born talent at a skill will have the upper hand. People with natural talent don't have to work as hard than other people giving them the upper hand on other people. People with naturally born talent at a skill don't have to work as hard to get it or learn it than people who have to work harder than they do to get it or learn it. Certain things come easy to them which makes them better at a skill than someone else who has to work super hard at a skill. The next reason why talent is more important than hard work is natural talent boost your maximum potential, and your standards is set higher than everyone else. • 2. Persuasive Essay On Hard Work "Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work," (King). As Stephen King said, simply having a talent is commonplace in the world today. Whether it is incredible artistic ability, impressive grades, skill at a particular sport, or even kindness, every person has a feature that sets them apart. However, this natural ability does not guarantee success in any field. Ultimately, it is hard work that will lead you to a successful lifestyle, even with the advantages held by those with natural abilities. Developing skills in the areas that you have interest in will ensure your prosperity, regardless of where you start, as demonstrated by author J.K. Rowling and her characters in Harry Potter. The best way to achieve success is by developing and expanding upon a particular skill. Benjamin Franklin wrote in Poor Richard's Almanack, his collection of aphorisms, about this very topic: "Genius without education is like silver in the mine" (Franklin 147). If silver in a mine is not discovered, what good will it do anyone? In the same way, natural born genius will only benefit the world if it is continuously filled with knowledge and allowed to grow. If you fail to develop and improve any skills that you possess, regardless of what they are, it is as if they never existed. Other people are fortunate enough to have the same talents as you; if they put in more effort, they will excel. Even if someone does not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Hard Work Research Paper Success literature going back hundreds of years espouses the benefits of hard work. But why is it that some people seem to feel that "hard work" is a dirty word nowadays? I define "hard work" as work that is challenging. Both hard work and "working hard" (i.e. putting in the time required to get the job done) are required for success. A problem occurs when people think of challenging work as painful or uncomfortable. Does challenging work necessarily have to be painful? No, of course not. In fact, a major key to success is to learn to enjoy challenging work AND to enjoy working hard at it. Why challenging work? Because challenging work, when intelligently chosen, pays off. It's the work that people of lesser character will avoid. And if...show more content... Hard work is something you look forward to because you know that it will lead to tremendous growth. And you eventually develop the maturity and responsibility to understand that certain goals will never just flow into your life; they'll only happen if you act as the driving force to bring them to fruition. When faced with the prospect of saying to yourself, "If I always avoid hard work, I'll never in my life get to experience X, Y, or Z," it's a little easier to embrace the benefits of hard work. What will you miss out on? You'll probably never run a marathon, marry the mate of your dreams, become a multi–millionaire, make a real difference in the world, etc. You'll have to settle for only what going with the flow can provide, which is mediocrity. You'll basically just take up space and die without really having mattered. The world will be pretty much the same had you never existed (chaos theory notwithstanding). If you want to achieve some really big and interesting goals, you have to learn to fall in love with hard work. Hard work makes the difference. It's what separates the children from the mature adults. You can keep living as a child and desperately hoping that life will always be easy, but then you'll be stuck in a child–like world, working on other people's goals instead of your own, waiting for opportunities to come to you instead of creating your own, and doing work that in the grand scheme of this world Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Reflective Essay On Hard Work us every day, and when co–workers noticed that the supervisor was focusing more on pleasing the funding process, they began to feel as if they were not doing a good job. Co–workers started to call into work because of feeling sick. When they would return from being sick, they would mention that they had been stressing out and he was the cause of them getting ill. I asked, "why the stress"? They responded, "We feel that he does not appreciate all the hard work we are already doing." I responded; " Remember when he allowed all the flexibility and sharing ideas in our own pace setting strategy?" Yes, they said, well if you are having a difficult time understanding why you arefeeling the way you are feeling; you need to communicate that with the leader and find a better solution, so you are not feeling unappreciated. Reminded each employee to remember he is learning how to lead and so far he is doing a great job by coming in and checking to see how we are doing and if we need any help. He also makes sure we are not overwhemed in our classes and does understand when we need some assistance to implement a change or if an activity is age appropiate. I reminded the team to always communicate because what they misunderstand or see is not what was intended to be misinterpreted. He also showed the ability to build up his employees and help their work performance accelerate with his coaching skills. Although, not having that much of leading experience he used his own experience to help build up his employees for improvement. Continuing to learn his role as a leader he would do his best, but most of the times through his learning he would need a lot of direction from his supervisor. In the process of him leading his team, there were a lot of times he would manage poorly and un–prepared with duties that may have required. Most days he would come into the class and mention to the teams to take the day as it happens, tweak different ideas until I can get you all the right materials to help smooth out your routines. Organizational culture has been affected in diverse ways, such as the way employees are trying to advance their skills. I see parents not developing policies and procedures, how power and information flow Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 6. Reflective Essay On Hard Work Some corps members say that teaching is the hardest thing they've ever done. There are moments when plans don't work out perfectly and where, despite having worked extremely hard, you might not feel good at your job. What concerns do you have about taking on this experience? I have had to learn the hard way that sometimes you are not immediately the best at a new skill or activity. This has been a very formative and constructive experience for me as I have had to learn the meaning of hard work for the sake of personal betterment, a skill that I believe is lacking in many young people today. I was not always the best student, best athlete, or best at a given activity; however, you could be guaranteed that I would be the hardest working. I have no doubt that challenging moments will arise in which I might momentarily doubt my abilities, but I trust in my fortitude and persistence that I will work to get better and be better for the sake of myself and my students. As you know, our corps members teach in predominantly low–income communities. What experiences (in life, work, volunteering, etc.) have you had that could inform your success teaching in low–income communities? I grew up, excuse the clichГ©, without two pennies to rub together. I know what it means to be a low–income student because I am and was one throughout my life. My friends, family, and loved ones all fall into this category and I have been shaped by it. Working as a tutor and classroom aide in high school for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Persuasive Essay On Hard Work Students that work hard and are interested in learning are the students I think achieve success. Although sometimes some children can't achieve that due to certain circumstances. I read the Collections & Collections: Close Reader to gather information. There are various ways for Anaheim Schools to improve like working hard as was proven in Marita's Bargain, also by having a growth mindset as seen in Secret to Raising Smart Kids, as well as valuing student's efforts like in Mad Hot Ballroom. Big classrooms in AHS aren't helping the students. The change needed is hard work. The students at AHS are not the most academic per say, but they try indeed. Marita's Bargain by Malcolm Gladwell is a non–fictional character that does indeed have to do what is said. Students need to give up weekends and vacations for school as they learn better, work harder. "She interviewed me, and the way she was saying made it sound so hard I thought I was going to prison." (13) The thoughts of the sacrifices Marita was going to make scared her. She still proceeded because she needed the education. "On the walls of the classroom were dozens of certificates from the New York Regents exam, testifying to first–class honors for Corcoran' students." (14) As said before the hard work has led to a better outcome. Hard work is a needed change in every aspect of life as it leads to success especially in the education area. Having multiple teachers in AHS doesn't seem to help students excel in their education. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Qualities that Define a Hard Working Person What qualifies a person to be categorized as a "hard worker". He/She would have to be willing to do the work, and not only do it, but do it right. Efficiency, things such as showing up on time, and getting the job done in a decent amount of time. A person would have the knowledge to be able to do their work. Just as the cell is basic for life, being efficient is the basic factor of all hard workers. This is extremely important, it ties in with the other factors of the hard worker. Bosses look for people who are efficient, people who get the job done the best and fastest way. Efficiency is not only better and faster but it is also cheaper. I worked for a gentleman that always...show more content... Does this person have the right skills to perform the job? An example I can think of is when I worked for a rental company. When I turned 18 years old, my employers told me I had to get my class E drivers license. Now this might not sound like a big deal but it was because if I did not get it within five days of my 18th birthday I could not come back to work. The only way to get to work again was to pass the test and bring a verified copy. This is a skill I had to obtain to work this job. Other such skills required of me was that I had to know how to pull trailers behind trucks, work on and with heavy machinery such as bucket lifts, tractors, lawn mowers, and other such types of equipment. A knowledge base should not only contain the skills needed to do the job but also some common sense. I say this meaning problem solving skills. For example if an engine is not running this is how I would go about trying to make it run, my problem solving method. Remembering what I had been told about engines needing three basic things,(fuel, oxygen, and fire) first I would check the gas, this sounds very elementary, but it is amazing how many people don't look at this. If this turns out not to be the problem, next I would check the oil. Another of many simple things that people tend to over look. The third thing to check would probably be the spark plug. Now granted these things are very simple but it is a good way of showing problem solving methods. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Value Of Hard Work Essay Hard work equals success in many people's eyes. Experiencing work with family, school, and in the workplace has shown me the importance of hard work and dedication. Along with with that, I have gained responsibility, experience, and balance. Although my experience has shown me the importance of hard work and dedication, it has also helped me distinguish the risk of how the the value of work can be taken for granted. I have not always had the right attitude towards work as a whole, but I have learned to love the idea and application of it; with exceptions. As a child, up until a certain point, I have always worked with my father in the restaurant business. My dad fell in love with the restaurant business when he was younger. His dream was to own as many restaurants as he could. The business started off small, but his dream came true overtime. We went from waking up every morning in the summer selling tacos; to waking up and prepping for opening at "Hit The Spot Cafe". I hated waking up so early, but my dad said I didn't have a choice. He gets up every day whether he feels like it or not. My father has always worked nonstop, and he's the type to keep himself busy. Over the years I've learned within my experience growing up in such a business, and possibly most; it can be tough. Working with my dad taught me the value of working hard. His dedication inspired me to wish to become just as focused with work. In all of the jobs I've acquired outside of my dad's business, I gave Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Which Is More Important, Talent Or Hard Work? Which is more important, talent or hard work?. Other people refer to this question as Nature vs. Nurture (Taylor). Throughout the years there has been debates about the topic and it will go on in the future because of different beliefs and thoughts that people have. This argument can be compared with democrats and republicans, some believe one thing and the others something else. Hard work always comes out on top of talent because of the time and dedication a person utilizes to work hard and get to a high level of skill and knowledge. Hard work, also known as nurture, is commonly defined as environment and experience. Nature is something that you naturally have within you, such as certain skills and abilities that you can do and others can 't, which is difficult to find people who can do certain abilities and skills. Even though people can develop skills and even a talent from working hard, It is very difficult for them to reach a certain level of skill. Past generations used to believe that talent and stars were born not made, but that belief has been drastically changed by the people who worked hard every day to reach their goals (Krakovsky). The ones who worked hard to get to a high level, did not only learn one skill they learned many others along the way whether it was a mental skill or a physical skill(Shanks). There is only a few bad sides to hard work, one is that if you work too hard in a physical activity, you can get hurt and that can can slow you down or even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Thomas Jefferson's Essay On Hard Work Thomas Jefferson wrote, "Determine never to be idle. . . It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing." Do you think you could get far in life without working? Do you feel like you should recieve everything you want exactly when you want it? Some individuals don't have to work, but there are others in the world who know that hard work actually pays off in the end. There's nothing wrong with work, and a lot of people fail to realize that. If you want good things for yourself have to work for them. That's like going to school everyday. Good grades mean a lot because they could get you very far in life, but they just don't come like that. You have to work hard and play even harder. School is where it all starts, and that's where...show more content... Don't sit around and let life pass you by. If you feel like you want something right now, then the time starts now. Don't down yourself either because that's why so many people give up. Just because one thing fails doesn't mean it'll be that way forever. You can change your life right now by doing anything. You do know that if you don't do anything about it nothing will come. Anything can happen even with smallest step taken. What you do now will show off in the future. The situation you are in now could change in the blink of an eye either for the good or the bad. But that result counts on you and your mindset. If you're lazy now and you don't try to better yourself, you will be the exact same in the end. But if you are on a good road now keep it up because you never know where you could be 20 years from now. In conclusion, if you feel like you're busy now just wait until the end. You'll see where the hardworkers are and you'll see who's still at the same point where you once were. Keep yourself occupied but with positive things. • 12. Persuasive Essay On Hard Work It's common to think that hard work is the key that will help people move up in the world, and that is true for the most part. However what is one supposed to do when there's a roadblock that is difficult to overcome? There are factors that may all together or by one at a time cause someone to not achieve that pay that wish. Due to education and wealth, discrimination, worker abilities and monopoly power, the opportunities of equal pay isn't always obtainable to workers. First factor of income quality, not every citizen has the best education they can get for that high paying job, and not many has the funds to get that job they really desire. In our world, not everything can be as fair for those who strive for success. Consider this, many people start at working minimum wage which is about nine dollar an hour. For one waitress addressed in a PBS news article by Paul Solman, that one waitress only earned $2.13 an hour before taxes. It is stated by many who are struggling with minimum wage that it is not enough to live on. As the cost of living increases, the minimum wage becomes insufficient in covering bills and cost. As a result of this situation, there are inspiring students who are unable to go further with their education and move up in life. Being stuck near the poverty line creates a situation where as much as those workers desire to progress in their career, insufficient funds and the lack of education keeps them from doing so as many higher paying jobs require Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Examples Of Hard Work Ethic Essay There are few things that are extremely important in life, and I am positive they vary from person to person. Mine form a triangle including family and friends, education, and a hard work ethic. Without one or the other, they all fail. Without a work ethic, I would never have the motivation to get an education, or even attempt to prosper in life. Having a strong work ethic is a characteristic that everyone should have in order to be successful. My work ethic was driven by my parents at a young age and this helps me to gain respect for bosses, professors, and coworkers. It also gave me dedication through hard work, during my high school volleyball season. Lastly, my hard work ethic gives me inspiration for my current education and future...show more content... My first jobs I ever had included working mutually for both my parents. They were always very tough on me and expected the very best outcome from me. I assumed this was just because I was their daughter. But a year later, when I received a job as a waitress at a local restaurant/ ice cream shop, I realized that my parents had treated me like any other employee. I was never expecting a boss, that was not my mother nor father, to yell at me or be strict and disciplined. There were several times when my boss at the restaurant had shouted at me for serving too much ice cream on a cone. I will always remember the feeling of disappointment I received when my boss was unhappy with my service. I soon learned that all the complaining my parents did about their employees were actual issues, and that I did not want to be like the employees they criticized. This was my first realization at how important a strong work ethic is. The next component that displayed how important my work ethic is, includes my senior year high school volleyball season. Volleyball was a sport I played from 5th grade all the way up through my senior year. Volleyball pre –season typically starts in June and ends in August when tryouts start. I had already been through tryouts my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, so I went into my senior year tryout not worried at all. After three days of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Essay 1, Question 1–B The money one earns is but one piece of the complicated way Americans understand social class. Separating class along income lines does not account for differences in the cost of living from region to region; a solid middle–class income in one area may only afford a working–class lifestyle in another. How an individual interprets hard–work, and what they draw from it, is a better indicator of class than arbitrary scales that rely on income. Both working and middle–class Americans rely on hard work, at least in part, to define their class position. The working–class derive honor and moral superiority from their hard–work, while the middle–class gain the ability to realize their potential and justify their success. Declining since the 1970s, working–class wages, adjusted for inflation, are as much as 25% less than several decades ago (Silva, pg. 14). Facing reduced earning power, the working–class view hard–work as a source of honor, not financial reward. Jennifer Silva finds workers living on the margins of society share a belief in the value of hard work despite the lack of financial gain (Silva, pg. 84–5). Michelle Lamont notes a similar response from members of the working–class she interviews, with them identifying hard–work as trait of moral people (Lamont, pg. 21). Workers define a good person as one who works hard to provide for and protect their family, financially and physically (Lamont, 24 & 29). • 15. The Value Of Hard Work Anh Hoang Professor King ENG 101 12 Dec 2015 The Value of Hard Work Essentially, the concept of one's ability to participate in manual labor has been juxtaposed with strength and endurance. However, it is not considerable to say that white–collar are always "weaker" than other labors because a person needs both the effectiveness in physical works and the mental effort that he/she gives in order to be successful on works. With this belief, I will analyze three opinions about hard work in Crawford, Braaksma, and Colon works. To begin, manual workers play an important role in the world. In his essay "The Psychic Satisfaction of Manual Works", Crawford describes himself as a household electrician whose work mostly "got covered up inside walls" (212). This work seems not to be interesting at all, but he still takes this position with pride because he believes his work has "a social currency". In other words, Crawford understands that his job as an electrician is needed by many people, and he works not only to better himself but also to enjoy his favorable work, as a craftsmanship who "consist only in the desire to do something well, for its own sake." (212). He sees his manual work valuable and comfortable to him, and he hopes that others, especially one who has the same job with him understand the valuable of manual works. Because manual labors are in front of reality judgement as all of their failures or shortcomings are interpreted, they have the right to be proud of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Research Paper On Hard Work To achieve goals in life, hard work must be done. Hard work is more than just physical labor. It is a way to reach your goals. It starts off as a plan and in the end, becomes an asset to your achievement. Creating this motivational drive that pursues a path to success. Hard work is time–consuming effort and dedication that leads to achievement. Hard work is time–consuming effort. When achieving goals, the first step is creating a plan. The plan lays out the process of how to accomplish the certain goal. This plan may take a significant amount of time to complete depending on the process. Working diligently allows the person to succeed further in their set goal. For example, during my high school career, I made it my personal goal to maintain a high g.p.a. As simple as it sounds, the work to achieve this goal was not. In the beginning of my first year, I planned what amount of work will have to be completed to maintain a high g.p.a. As the years progressed, the workload did as well. My 11th grade year I worked the hardest. Deciding to take three AP classes that year, I stayed on track with all the classwork and homework. Almost every day there was a new assignment to complete with short deadlines. At times, the workload was overwhelming. Constantly having to check the gradebook online to make sure I was not missing any assignments, or failing any classes. There were moments where it felt more of a mental process than actual physical labor. Finding the motivation to continue made it more of a mental process. Completing all the extra work an AP level student does compared to a regular level student is very time–consuming. I began to realize how many hours I would spend doing AP homework, compared to the amount of time I spend on my regular level homework. After all the time–consuming effort I did throughout the year, I achieved a g.p.a. high then I anticipated. Hard work is time–consuming effort that will lead to success. Similarly, Hard work is dedication. Dedicating time to pursue goals. Doing whatever is possible to overcome obstacles. When failure happens, giving up is not an option. For instance, my mother is a hard–working person. Since she was a child, her mother taught her the importance of hard work Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Thanks to My Hardworking Father Essay Jose Quiles Prof. J. Robinson Eng 100–F80 August 06, 2009 Thanks to My Hardworking Father It is very fortunate for a kid to have his father around. In the last thirty years, having both parents in the household was rare. Most of my friends I grew up with only had their mother around. To all the mothers that were strong enough to raise a boy to be a man, I commend you. However, I was very fortunate to have both parents in my household. I would like to thank my father for showing me what a hardworking man truly is, for teaching me how to be responsible, and teaching me why it's better to work hard for my money than take the easy route like selling drugs. My father never tried to spoil me, but there was always a lesson to be learned in everything he did for me. If he gave me something for doing what I was supposed to do, he would tell me that God's reward for me being responsible is even greater. My father continually stressed to me that when you work hard for the money, there is always a greater reward at the end. Finally, I thank my father for teaching me that a real man works hard for his money. My father always said if a person takes the easy route to get money, that person won't appreciate anything. I didn't understand what my father meant by that until I got older. Seeing people sell drugs to get money, I noticed that those people didn't care how the money was spent. I would see those people buying clothes, which were ridiculously expensive; like five or six hundred dollar shirts. These guys had no clue about how to work hard for their money, so they didn't care how fast it was spent. Then I saw a hard working man who cherished every dime he worked for. In the end, what my father was trying to teach me was that there are benefits for those that work hard, and none for those that don't. In conclusion, I thank my father for being there to teach me how to be a hardworking man, the importance of being responsible, and how nothing comes easily. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Hard Work Is The Key To Success Essay Hard work is a key to Success (ESSAY) "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" Hard work is the key to success. To succeed in life one must endure the challenges life presents and work to overcome these challenges to be the best possible person that one can be. We must not only use hard work to impress those around us but also to achieve goals that we set for ourselves. If we as individuals do not work hard to succeed, then we do not receive the same satisfaction as we would if we put in hour upon hour or even year upon year of work to achieve our goals. I believe for one to be successful, he must be willing to work hard to succeed in any aspect of life. "Great thing come from hard work and perseverance"...show more content... The secret of success, as many people will agree, is hard work. Evidently, successful people are admired in the society. In many instances, they make headlines in the mainstream media. However, such people are not many in the society. Many people still struggle to achieve their goals in life. Others give up, all together, when they attempt without success to achieve their goals. Simply, many people are unable or unwilling to engage in hard work for them to be successful. "To succeed, work hard and never give up and above all cherish a magnificent obsession" Many people give up when they do not feel like pursuing their goals or when they experience setbacks at the initial stages of a project. For instance, many people trying to lose weight may not see the results within the first few weeks of rigorous exercise and dieting. At this stage, unsuccessful people will give up. On the other hand, hardworking people try to find ways of solving some of the setbacks– instead of giving up. More so, they put in more effort even when they realize that have slim chances of winning. "Dreams don't work unless you Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I have been around a group of coaches that have showed me compassion, amazing work ethic, and stern guidance. Never once did I feel like I was just some intern that was under everyone and just took all of the terrible jobs that no one else wanted to do. Now while the jobs that I did have were hard and they were strenuous. I feel like I was fully prepared to tackle and handle every single obstacle that came my way.
