Weather Informative Speech
Introduction: Now why would you want to predict the weather without a forecast or technology? I know smartphones are a thing and everyone
has a phone to look at what the weather would be. So why listen to what I am going to demonstrate for you today? Well, let me give you a scenario.
Let's say you were on a trip to Malaysia with your tour group, but as you ventured further into the forest you got lost and didn't know where you
landed up or how far from the next town you were? Your phone didn't work due to the lack of cellular service, now how are you going to survive in
Mother Nature? This speech is going to allow you to gain knowledge if you ever land up in such a situation, which you will because we are college
students that cannot always afford our phone bills.
I.For all of you cat owners, did you know that your cat can help you predict when a storm is coming? When a cat licks its paws, it usually swipes their
whiskers or face but avoids their ears. The moment that a cat swipes their ears, that is when a storm is on its way. The reason why they feel the need
to swipe their ears is because when a storm is on its way, the pressure in the air decreases. Say if you're in a jungle in the depths of Africa, how would
you predict the temperature? Did you realize that pine cones shut everything down in moistness increments so as to shield their seeds from the
approaching tempests?
A.In the event that smoke goes straight up into the air, the climate ought to be clear. In the event that smoke twirls close to the ground, rain is coming
around. If there is a chance that you see that frogs around you start to have louder croaks, you might need to get an umbrella since there might be a
storm on its way. The shading close to the breastbone of a goose will disclose to you what sort of winter to anticipate. If the feathers are darker, that
implies a terrible winter is ahead. At the point when a storm is coming, cows group together. They'll likewise hide to keep dry and secured or they
huddle together in a group and keep low in the grass fields.
1.Aside from all this useful knowledge, it is clear to see animal behavior have a big effect on us predicting the weather.
2.If you count however many times a cricket chirps for

Informative Essay About Facebook
Facebook, a useful, informative website, and social media platform for communicating to others and expressing yourself. To a lot of people, it
seems like a good idea to join up to Facebook, but more often than not, they have not yet considered the vast negatives of using the site. Facebook
has ownership of every single detail that the user gives to it. Every personal detail that is given by users, is saved and owned by Facebook, this is
dangerous because of who the owner is, Mark Zuckerberg. Depression, stress, anger, anxiety, low self–esteem and bitterness, here a few of the
emotions that are experienced by the millions of people who use Facebook every single day. Facebook users are being used to make money for
Facebook. Facebook makes money by collecting user information, that is freely given to them by their users, whenever they enter their name, age,
date of birth, picture, who their friends are, what they like and dislike etcetera. This information is then used by Facebook, as it sells this
information to advertisers. These advertisers then display advertisements that relate to their target audience. In 2015, 18 billion dollars were made
by Facebook from its 1.6 billion users and the average revenue generated per user reached $12, meaning that for every single user of the 1.6 billion
Facebook users, they made $12 each for Facebook. The sign up to Facebook may be free, but it's true cost is the knowledge of all the users' freely
provided information; this includes all

Writing An Informative Essay
The definition essay is the most basic form of an informative essay. Its goal is to simply provide an explanation. Informative essays that define
provide their explanation using one of three methods: They can use synonyms to explain what the new term is similar to, categories to help the reader
see where the term fits in compared to others, or negation to allow the reader to understand the term by seeing what it isn't. In addition to the three
methods, there are several ways you can organize an informative essay that provides a definition. The most important thing is to present them in a
logical order that makes sense, and there's not one method that's best in every case. Some organization schemes you might consider include presenting

What is an Expository Writing?
'Expository' is a synonym of 'explanatory'. An expository essay, thus, is a piece of writing that explains or informs. It is meant to be based on fact and
free of the writer's prejudices. Opinion is often expressed, but only if it is backed by fact. For example, if someone asked you to write an essay on the
causes of World War II, you might write about Germany's losses in World War I, the Treaty of Versailles, the fall of the Weimar Republic and the rise
of Hitler led Nazism. In other words, everything would be based on verifiable fact – an expository essay.
The expository writing process is centered on four activities:

Informative Speech On Opioids
Informative Speech Outline
Introduction
I.Attention Getter: Many of us know firsthand what opioids do to people. I bet everyone here has had a call where drugs of any kind where used in
the wrong way, especially opioids.
II.Motivation for Listening: But have you ever wondered how they get to the point where they need medical attention, and if this problem could have
been prevented?
III.Thesis Statement: Today, I will inform you on what opioid do to their victims and possible solutions to the problem.
IV.Preview of Speech: I will identify the problem, discuss what opioidaddiction does to people, and discuss possible solutions to the problem.
V.Transition: First, I will identify the problem.
Body
I.First Main Point: Last month president Trump declared the opioid epidemic a public health emergency (Merica, 2017). This goes to show that the
opioid problem is a huge deal in the United States and it should be treated so.
a.Analysis: According to the Center for Disease Control, in Florida, there was over 3,200 deaths from opioid overdoses, and opioids account for the
most overdose deaths in the United States ("Opioid Overdose," 2016).
b.Analysis: Opioids are a class of drug that are medically used as very effective painkillers, like fentanyl and morphine, however, they are highly
addictive and produce a feeling of euphoria ("Opioids"). This combination leads do a lot of abuse and dependency, where people take more than
prescribed in order to feel better. People start off taking the opioid painkillers in order to not feel pain as prescribed by their doctors. Then, they end
up getting addicted to them. There are also illicit opioids, such as heroin, that are also highly addictive and also lead to dependency and death
("Opioids"). These illicit versions are taken for recreational reasons, and are also often mixed with other drugs. The combination of taking an
unregulated drug in conjunction with other drugs leads to a lot of overdoses.
c.Transition: Next, I will talk about why people get addicted to opioids and what they do to the body.
II.Second Main Point: As mentioned before, opioids are highly addictive, but why? Why don't people just stop taking the drugs when they realize they
have a problem? The

sensational stories have been mistaken for valid news stories. 2.With the introduction of the digital age and media advancements it has become easier

to the spreading of fake news. B.1.It is important to understand and have the confidence to challenge the veracity of questionable content. 2.It is
important to examine and fact check to identify the difference between credible vs. non credible news stories. 3.Fake news is shaping our public
opinion on political, social and world views. C.Think back to the question I asked at the beginning about the unbelievable news article that caught your
attention at the beginning of this speech how many of you passed the story along, clicked share, tweeted about it? In the current digital age, we must

They are as easy as enforcing better laws and regulations. "Livestock production relies heavily on antimicrobials, hormones, and a variety of other
pharmaceuticals. A number of concerns have been raised about these developments, including the presence of drug residues in meat and the impact
of these production techniques on animal welfare" (Schneider). Today many people are confused as to why there are not a lot stricter and enforced
rules being taken into play when it comes to our health and the environment. Even though there are many rules and regulation put into place by the
FDA it is a possibility that there are so many underlying rules and regulations put into place and it is hard for these companies to keep up with
them. There needs to be a strict and a laid out set of rules that are easy to follow and that are not being changed and modified daily. These laws and
regulations are more likely to be changed if more attention was brought to this issue. Attention could be brought to the public by more media such as
social media, television, newspapers, etc. By bringing attention to this matter people will want to become more educated about the topic and what they
can do to help prevent this type of behavior. "Each year an estimated 5,000 Americans die and another 77 million get sick from disease producing
agents in the food they eat" (Sifry). These numbers show how undereducated people are about the risks buying

"argument" isn't just two people yelling at each other it's having different opinions on things argumentative essays are different from informative
essays in the same way that opinions are different from facts. An argumentative essay is a essay that they have things for a text that that authors says

INTRODUCTION
Who in your opinion is the most dominant well–known figure in professional sports? This is up for debate to many of us as we all have different likes
or interests. But there is one individual who was destined for stardom and was in the spotlight at a very early age.
He is arguably the one individual in our lifetime that transformed his sport. With his presence, the sport of golf became popular and was no longer a

Soon enough, Tiger was mimicking his dad's golf swing and Earl Woods became amazed at what Tiger could do with a golf club by the age of 2.
2. Tiger became noticed by the world at the ripe old age of two yrs. old when he appeared on the Mike Douglas show. He was featured in Golf
Digest at the age of 5 and began winning junior tournaments with kids four to five years older than him at the age of 8 (Londino 23). 3. He had a
close relationship with his father and it is well documented that Tiger got his mental toughness through him. His dad use makes all kinds of noises

Perseverance Essay
What is perseverance? Perseverance is the ability to go on when things seem hopeless. It is also a measure of success, or at least how much sacrifice
one is willing to make in the name of success. As students, it is impossible to achieve personal success without having a goal, or direction. The goal
and direction that often propels us to achieve is perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to forge ahead despite setbacks that threaten to undermine all
efforts to succeed.
We are high school students and that means that the sense of urgency to strive for and to achieve personal success is now. With this urgency comes
the expectation of having to persevere. This year has not been as easy one for us as a school body. We have been

There is no shame in falling; the shame is in accepting the the fall as defeat. Nelson Mandella once said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never
falling, but in rising every time you fall." That is the essence of persevering––finding the will to get up even though you know you are being counted
out.
Each day is a challenge for some of us. Some of you struggle to get up each morning and make it to school. But you find it within yourself to do
because the hope of a better tomorrow compels you to do so. It is not easy to explain to teachers or other students that there was no one to wake
you up and see that you were ready for school. The moment you leave your house and step on the bus, you are one step closer to realizing your
dream, to fulfilling your purpose. That is what perseverance is. It is the finding the strength to do the impossible because you know that all things
are possible. It is understanding that your tomorrow has great possibilities because of the steps you take today. I had a neighbor whose parents were
divorced, but it seems like both parents divorced her. Her mother had custody, but she was seldom around. My friend raised herself. She gave a whole
new meaning to the phrase "putting yourself through school", but she was in middle school. However, she had a dream of something better and it was
evident that it required self–motivation and determination.

Informative Speech
Do Choose the proper language for the situation The first thing that is an important part of delivering any speech is the language that one chooses
to use. On page 164 the book says that this does not just mean ensuring that the grammar is correct but choosing the words, phrases, and oratory
devices best suited to the ideas being conveyed. The proper implementation of specific or concrete words can change a speech from an unfocused
generalization to an informative and focused presentation. One example of such specificity in helping clarify a speech is when discussing how
prevalent adult ADHD is instead of merely saying the statistic (2.5%) to actually explained how many people that would be worldwide. This would
help by giving the listener some context of the sheer number of people that I was discussing rather than a vague idea based on an unrelatable
percentage. While giving specifics is also important in making the audience properly understand the presentation, one must also ensure that one uses
the proper language to convey an idea. For example, when giving a fact–heavy speech it is better to use neutral words and attempt to minimize
metaphors and other flowery language as that will detract from the objective tone necessary in delivering an informative speech. When dealing with an
emotional topic, however, it would be advisable to include emotional language and imagery. In this situation, the emotional language does not detract
from the speech as not

Informative Essay Hook
Pinkston, Anna Dr. Jeff Newberry ENGL 1101H August 26, 2017 As my ninth
–grade English teacher, Mrs. Newton would say, without a good hook to
start your essay, no one will ever read it. As I was taught, a hook is a crucial part in your essay because it will help grab the audience's attention so
that they will continue to be invested throughout the paper. For example, the hook could be a question or a quote about the overall topic of your
essay. In my junior year, we had to do a controversial essay and I used a quote from a famous tattoo artist as my hook because I did my essay over
tattoos and piercings. After the hook, the introduction begins to take form and show the audience what your essay is about. The introduction is the
first thing in your essay that will tell the audience what the essay is about. The introduction paragraph should be as interesting as the initial hook and
keep the audience invested in the paper. It will establish the basis of the essay and should contain the thesis statement. The thesis statement is the point
in your essay where you will state the topics that the essay will contain. In high school, we were taught that the thesis should contain the three points
that you will elaborate upon in your three body paragraphs: the weakest point, the middle point, and the strongest point. The first body paragraph
should be the weakest or simplest way to get the overall point of the essay across to the readers. This will be the foundation of all three points,

Informative speeches are delivered in order to convey and communication knowledge, information, or insight regarding an issue. Similarly, it could be
used to describe a person, place, or procedure. All in all, it is used in order to help the audience build an understanding of something. This does not
entail the speaker to try to persuade individuals of this but, better yet, inform them. When delivering informative speeches, there are three vital

Informative Essay On Education
Informative Analysis Essay In today's world, education has taken center stage and is considered to be the focal point for success and prosperity in
one's future. Education while previously thought to not be important and was not necessarily required, has taken a complete 180 and has gained the
attention of many professionals and experts in several areas and fields (Hanford, "The Value of a College Degree"). Many questions people ask are if
education as a whole has taken a decline in value, or whether or not people should still undertake a post–secondary education with all of the costs
associated with it. What was once thought to be a surefire way to guarantee a solid future has turned into the target of debate as of late. Many people
side with the continued thought that college is worth it, but others are turning heads at the thought of going to college to try for a better future (Tierney
"AMERICAN HIGHER EDUCATION: How Does It Measure Up for the 21st Century?"). While many experts and activists in the field of education,
as well as those outside education, share universal ground over the ideas of obtaining a "worthwhile" education and the outcome of a better future
based on the education one receives, they have not acquired a complete agreement about if college is worth pursuing in relation to the costs that
accompany it, how much education is enough in today's world and if it is important to even possess a degree. Over the last 100 or so years, the price

Actually, contrary to that meme, we actually do know why, and I will be telling you why. Relevance: According to an article done by the USDA,
"The number of honey bee hives in the U.S has decreased from 6 million in the 1940s to 2.5 million in 2017" ("Being Serious about Saving
Bees"). Now, if all the bees start to die, then thousands of plants will also die and certain beloved foods will also die. Thesis: Now it's important to

Weather Informative Speech

  • 1. Weather Informative Speech Introduction: Now why would you want to predict the weather without a forecast or technology? I know smartphones are a thing and everyone has a phone to look at what the weather would be. So why listen to what I am going to demonstrate for you today? Well, let me give you a scenario. Let's say you were on a trip to Malaysia with your tour group, but as you ventured further into the forest you got lost and didn't know where you landed up or how far from the next town you were? Your phone didn't work due to the lack of cellular service, now how are you going to survive in Mother Nature? This speech is going to allow you to gain knowledge if you ever land up in such a situation, which you will because we are college students that cannot always afford our phone bills. I.For all of you cat owners, did you know that your cat can help you predict when a storm is coming? When a cat licks its paws, it usually swipes their whiskers or face but avoids their ears. The moment that a cat swipes their ears, that is when a storm is on its way. The reason why they feel the need to swipe their ears is because when a storm is on its way, the pressure in the air decreases. Say if you're in a jungle in the depths of Africa, how would you predict the temperature? Did you realize that pine cones shut everything down in moistness increments so as to shield their seeds from the approaching tempests? A.In the event that smoke goes straight up into the air, the climate ought to be clear. In the event that smoke twirls close to the ground, rain is coming around. If there is a chance that you see that frogs around you start to have louder croaks, you might need to get an umbrella since there might be a storm on its way. The shading close to the breastbone of a goose will disclose to you what sort of winter to anticipate. If the feathers are darker, that implies a terrible winter is ahead. At the point when a storm is coming, cows group together. They'll likewise hide to keep dry and secured or they huddle together in a group and keep low in the grass fields. 1.Aside from all this useful knowledge, it is clear to see animal behavior have a big effect on us predicting the weather. 2.If you count however many times a cricket chirps for Get more content on HelpWriting.net

To a lot of people, it seems like a good idea to join up to Facebook, but more often than not, they have not yet considered the vast negatives of using the site. Facebook has ownership of every single detail that the user gives to it. Every personal detail that is given by users, is saved and owned by Facebook, this is dangerous because of who the owner is, Mark Zuckerberg. Depression, stress, anger, anxiety, low self–esteem and bitterness, here a few of the emotions that are experienced by the millions of people who use Facebook every single day. Facebook users are being used to make money for Facebook. Facebook makes money by collecting user information, that is freely given to them by their users, whenever they enter their name, age, date of birth, picture, who their friends are, what they like and dislike etcetera. This information is then used by Facebook, as it sells this information to advertisers. These advertisers then display advertisements that relate to their target audience. In 2015, 18 billion dollars were made by Facebook from its 1.6 billion users and the average revenue generated per user reached $12, meaning that for every single user of the 1.6 billion Facebook users, they made $12 each for Facebook. The sign up to Facebook may be free, but it's true cost is the knowledge of all the users' freely provided information; this includes all Get more content on HelpWriting.net

An expository essay, thus, is a piece of writing that explains or informs. It is meant to be based on fact and free of the writer's prejudices. Opinion is often expressed, but only if it is backed by fact. For example, if someone asked you to write an essay on the causes of World War II, you might write about Germany's losses in World War I, the Treaty of Versailles, the fall of the Weimar Republic and the rise of Hitler led Nazism. Body I.First Main Point: Last month president Trump declared the opioid epidemic a public health emergency (Merica, 2017). This goes to show that the opioid problem is a huge deal in the United States and it should be treated so. a.Analysis: According to the Center for Disease Control, in Florida, there was over 3,200 deaths from opioid overdoses, and opioids account for the most overdose deaths in the United States ("Opioid Overdose," 2016). b.Analysis: Opioids are a class of drug that are medically used as very effective painkillers, like fentanyl and morphine, however, they are highly addictive and produce a feeling of euphoria ("Opioids"). This combination leads do a lot of abuse and dependency, where people take more than prescribed in order to feel better. People start off taking the opioid painkillers in order to not feel pain as prescribed by their doctors. Then, they end up getting addicted to them. There are also illicit opioids, such as heroin, that are also highly addictive and also lead to dependency and death ("Opioids"). These illicit versions are taken for recreational reasons, and are also often mixed with other drugs. The combination of taking an unregulated drug in conjunction with other drugs leads to a lot of overdoses. c.Transition: Next, I will talk about why people get addicted to opioids and what they do to the body. Also, this essay could benefit people who are not aware of this issue or have an opposing view. They are as easy as enforcing better laws and regulations. "Livestock production relies heavily on antimicrobials, hormones, and a variety of other pharmaceuticals. A number of concerns have been raised about these developments, including the presence of drug residues in meat and the impact of these production techniques on animal welfare" (Schneider). Today many people are confused as to why there are not a lot stricter and enforced rules being taken into play when it comes to our health and the environment. Even though there are many rules and regulation put into place by the FDA it is a possibility that there are so many underlying rules and regulations put into place and it is hard for these companies to keep up with them. There needs to be a strict and a laid out set of rules that are easy to follow and that are not being changed and modified daily. These laws and regulations are more likely to be changed if more attention was brought to this issue. Attention could be brought to the public by more media such as social media, television, newspapers, etc. By bringing attention to this matter people will want to become more educated about the topic and what they can do to help prevent this type of behavior. "Each year an estimated 5,000 Americans die and another 77 million get sick from disease producing agents in the food they eat" (Sifry). • 16. Perseverance Essay What is perseverance? Perseverance is the ability to go on when things seem hopeless. It is also a measure of success, or at least how much sacrifice one is willing to make in the name of success. As students, it is impossible to achieve personal success without having a goal, or direction. The goal and direction that often propels us to achieve is perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to forge ahead despite setbacks that threaten to undermine all efforts to succeed. We are high school students and that means that the sense of urgency to strive for and to achieve personal success is now. With this urgency comes the expectation of having to persevere. Nelson Mandella once said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall." That is the essence of persevering––finding the will to get up even though you know you are being counted out. Each day is a challenge for some of us. Some of you struggle to get up each morning and make it to school. But you find it within yourself to do because the hope of a better tomorrow compels you to do so. It is not easy to explain to teachers or other students that there was no one to wake you up and see that you were ready for school. The moment you leave your house and step on the bus, you are one step closer to realizing your dream, to fulfilling your purpose. That is what perseverance is. It is the finding the strength to do the impossible because you know that all things are possible. It is understanding that your tomorrow has great possibilities because of the steps you take today. I had a neighbor whose parents were divorced, but it seems like both parents divorced her. Her mother had custody, but she was seldom around. My friend raised herself. • 17. Informative Speech Do Choose the proper language for the situation The first thing that is an important part of delivering any speech is the language that one chooses to use. On page 164 the book says that this does not just mean ensuring that the grammar is correct but choosing the words, phrases, and oratory devices best suited to the ideas being conveyed. The proper implementation of specific or concrete words can change a speech from an unfocused generalization to an informative and focused presentation. One example of such specificity in helping clarify a speech is when discussing how prevalent adult ADHD is instead of merely saying the statistic (2.5%) to actually explained how many people that would be worldwide. This would help by giving the listener some context of the sheer number of people that I was discussing rather than a vague idea based on an unrelatable percentage. While giving specifics is also important in making the audience properly understand the presentation, one must also ensure that one uses the proper language to convey an idea. For example, when giving a fact–heavy speech it is better to use neutral words and attempt to minimize metaphors and other flowery language as that will detract from the objective tone necessary in delivering an informative speech. When dealing with an emotional topic, however, it would be advisable to include emotional language and imagery. In this situation, the emotional language does not detract from the speech as not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Informative Essay Hook Pinkston, Anna Dr. Jeff Newberry ENGL 1101H August 26, 2017 As my ninth –grade English teacher, Mrs. Newton would say, without a good hook to start your essay, no one will ever read it. As I was taught, a hook is a crucial part in your essay because it will help grab the audience's attention so that they will continue to be invested throughout the paper. For example, the hook could be a question or a quote about the overall topic of your essay. In my junior year, we had to do a controversial essay and I used a quote from a famous tattoo artist as my hook because I did my essay over tattoos and piercings. After the hook, the introduction begins to take form and show the audience what your essay is about. The introduction is the first thing in your essay that will tell the audience what the essay is about. The introduction paragraph should be as interesting as the initial hook and keep the audience invested in the paper. It will establish the basis of the essay and should contain the thesis statement. The thesis statement is the point in your essay where you will state the topics that the essay will contain. In high school, we were taught that the thesis should contain the three points that you will elaborate upon in your three body paragraphs: the weakest point, the middle point, and the strongest point. The first body paragraph should be the weakest or simplest way to get the overall point of the essay across to the readers. This will be the foundation of all three points, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
